Hi! just stumbled across your videos.. were you aware you could buy the UCA and LCA as a unit? think it would be far easier and quicker than putting in new bushes! Good Job nonetheless.
Yes I saw you could buy the arms complete but fancied trying to overhaul them myself. I wish I had put the poly bushes in intact! But I didn’t really know much about them until later on. I put them on the upper arms, but I could have put them on the lowers and the leaf springs at the back. Also I should have put the orange poly boots on the CV joints because the ones I bought only last a year!
Need to do solid axel conversion and put coil springs on it! But then you would just ask yourself why put all that work in instead of getting a better truck? I do like the k74 shape tho lol
@@craftycouple8283 actually, currently trying to figure out a noise I'm hearing whenever I engage 4 wheel. It's like a clack clack, kinda loud, kinda frightening, I friend told me it's transfer case
Sounds nasty! Does it actually allow you to put it into 4H or 4L? Facebook has some great L200 groups with guys who really know L200s well! Best to ask there!
@@craftycouple8283 I have watched when you removed the suspension, art one and seen the one on putting it back together, which is titled part three. Can't find part two though
Part 1 was the glow plugs/belts, part 2 was dismantling the suspension, part 3 was reassembling. This was all in preparation for a 2000 mile+ journey I did (time lapse video on my channel).
GREAT viewing I fancy a auto L200 but they are so Expensive I have seen one that's a cat N 2007 ,16000 on the clock for £2400 it needs the lights and grill putting back on it ,that come with the car is this a good deal ? Thanks Kevin.
Was doing the same thing today here in Iceland. New bushings in the wishbone. All i had was electric saw and had to take it out very carefully because apparently the mitshu dealership here in iceland is absolute shite and they didn’t have the bolt that connects to the torsion bar. Had to carefully cut around the bolt only took me 2 hours🙃 wished i had seen this video beforehand. Like and subscribe from me
I did most of my work on my L200 in preparation for driving from U.K. to Bulgaria (where I live now). Since I moved I’ve been super busy renovating an office with my partner, getting settled in the country, buying land and now trying to build a house. I also work at sea for extended periods of time...I did get some footage of renewing the CV boots/dismantling a CV joint for my L200 but haven’t got around to editing it! I have so many plans for my L200 but don’t even have time to fart right now 😂

@@craftycouple8283 that’s fair enough! Yeah I’ve polybushed all of mine! Very hard and stiff off road though!

Great video, loving the Metallica in the background tho
Thanks very much, glad you liked it! Have you got an L200 you're currently working on?

Great work! 2 hours isn’t a long time to make sure the job is done correctly ;)
@@craftycouple8283 that’s one way of looking at it😂 why don’t you have more of the L200 on your channel
