We are most definitely are not rich. It was a production mill when my Great Grandfather bought it back in the 20s. It was in service until the early 90s. My father and myself bought the mill at our estate sale back a few years ago and saw lumber for anyone who needs it. Plus we have a private showing for friends and family every June.

@@nonamenobody127 it hasn't been a production mill for over 30 years. We get the logs from our 25 acres of property which we just had a selective logging done. The property is owned by myself, my father, and 2 of my uncles. We each pitch in for the electricity and taxes. Everyone at our events are volunteers whom I supply a feast for at the end of the day.
This weekend i will be posting more videos of hit and miss and antique tractors that are running vintage corn shelling machines, i will find out and comment back to you
Seems like the John Deere LA with only 13hp on the belt pulley is struggling to keep up to the saw power demands. I can hear it bogging down when you saw. I think about 50hp would work much better.

My grandfather and great grandfather had 3 saw mills powered by steam engines one was a German train engine all the way to Ireland in about 1900

What was that last hit and miss? It had a simple looking governor/ignition setup.
