Daniel, a fatherless teenager, arrives in Los Angeles and becomes the object of bullying by a gang of karate students when he strikes up a relationship with Ali, the gang leader’s ex-girlfriend, so Daniel asks Miyagi, a master of martial arts, to help him learn karate.

Come on we've all lied at least once in our lives. Daniel did not deserve to be left by his friends Or have Johnny beat him up for liying.
I like how Johnny adjusts his jacket sleeve right before he and Daniel start to fight. It's like it's his way of flipping his fight switch to the on position.

@@Maryweather28-fy8jj that must have been indescribably humiliating to Daniel. Karate in the 80’s in central California was popular like football then. I was a kid back then and understood how people thought back then. Here’s my take: Like Johnny to his group, they had the impression Daniel was their leader to look up to in the group when telling the guy trying to console him he was an expert in karate some time ago.. Their assumptions were gone after the fight leaving them ashamed based on their expectations of Daniel. You can say it was a shallow friendship based on that rather than just because or for who he was. You can call those “fairwhether friends”. People are less harsh and insensitive in those respects nowadays.
@@pollycronopolis7648 I was wondering one reason why Freddy left and stopped being his friend was because Daniel acted to Freddy like he was a badass fighter. When really Daniel hadn't had that experience when Daniel said he's been doing it for a while.
But IV been thinking that say Daniel was a badass fighter, just as good as Johnny and and had been training for years, but Johnny beat him anyway. Whould Daniel still get left behind and they not be his friends anymore thought the movie?
@@Maryweather28-fy8jj he thought Daniel was cool not for his personality necessarily but what he thought he could do. He would’ve stayed friends with him no doubt if it never happened. The funny thing is I’m sure Freddy wanted to buddy up with him again after he won the tournament against Johnny but Daniel wouldn’t have given him the chance after what he saw. He would still be nice to them but limit his talk with them keeping it short and sweet every now and then lol

The timing was really bad for Daniel to meet Allí….if it was to be real life. Reason being is because that just so happens to be when Johnny was trying to patch things up with Allí after a huge argument they had, leading to her wanting to break up with him. Then Daniel steps in the way by meeting Allí. It isn’t Daniel’s fault, and Johnny was angry and heart broken. The timing was just bad. But of course, Daniel’s “so-called” friends ditch him because he got his ass kicked after they egged him on to fight, which wasn’t right.
0:15 One thing you gotta like about KK I is the beach looks absolutely beautiful. It's one of the best I've ever seen compared to real life beaches.

When Daniel asked what’s going on was he being sarcastic? Like wasn’t it obvious what was going on? So when he said that was he basically telling Johnny to chill? If yes Was it right that he did that like being sarcastic with him? Like because it probably just made Jhonny more upset. Like how like how did Daniel mean no harm when he was sarcastic?

@Maryweather28-fy8jj I think you're reading to much into him asking "what's going on"....like he's not really asking but he's being sarcastic either...he's just kinda nervous and yeah, kinda saying let's all relax. Johnny was at fault here, all the way. Imagine you meet a girl you really like...hanging out with here a couple hours...and a guy shows up, gets in her face and takes her phone (updated to 2024 lol) and then throws it down, breaks it. I would hope you would step in.. I know I would. Yeah it's not gonna end well 4 on 1 but still. And johnny shoves him first.
LaPusso's just can't help antagonizing everyone he comes across, including, but not limited to, those American soldiers in the bar in Part II...
People say, "oh, but Daniel was the real victim..." However, I respectfully disagree. If a person has so many enemies in such a short timespan, it's time to assess who the real aggressor is. A single enemy is understandable, two, raises an eyebrow; but having three enemies all in succession and all wanting to destroy him is a pattern. All of his enemies have one commonality between them: they've all encountered Daniel's toxic and vengeful personality.
Look at Cobra Kai, he goes on to physically attacking that car dealership owner because he couldn't stand the competition. Then later, when Johnny was trying to re-establish himself as a legitimate business owner to try and better his life; LaPusso pettiness and jealousy got every store owner's rent increased at that strip mall simply because he wanted revenge. Who does that, seriously?
It's really a shame, because Miyagi likely died a premature death over the constant BS that Daniel subjected him to...

Daniel was out of order. He made Jonny look small. There was a way to deescalate things but he was more interested in looking like the white knight saviour. Glad Jonny put him down
