I love how you mentioned "living with locals" while staying at a boutique villa owned by an Italian and French 😂 I can't help but feel the effects of modern colonization. I really can't help but doubt this is how a majority of local Balinese people live 🤔 But I could be wrong.
lol so true.
Lmao duh, u dont really want to live like locals if you are from developed country.
Husss jangan bilang gitu, dia promosi bali. Semoga aja mereka bikin kursus konten kreator untuk lokal.
@@alminafirman7127 yg komen bukan org lndo kyknya, Mba
Ha ha ha ha,"locals"
funny watching your perspective; Ulu has completely modernized from my lens, when I took over 30 trips in late 90's and early 2000's - when there was truly no hotels, a few warungs to eat and relax, and best uncrowded surf on planet ... waves are still amazing but the infrastructure looks like a modern city compared to 17 to 20 years ago
My daughter moved to Bali for work to realized her dream..; Work and pleasure. Sometlmes she visits beach for sunset before her duty at an emergency unit in hospital. What a gorgeous life....
Did she get contract?
@Tim Tim she moved to Bali in pandemic then applied job vacancies, after 3 weeks Thanks God, she found two jobs in Bali
@@lindaandariana6409 you know its bloody hard to all foreigners to find it officially:) real God blessed
@@MegakillerFortnight you are right, as Indonesian citizen my daughter ‘d be hard too gets work ER medical doctor at another countries.
Btw, if you have any medical cases during in Bali, she works at ER International hospital🤗
seeing paradise all the time could be tiring. But what I love about living in Bali is because you still get to live a busy urban lifestyle (all the restaurants, cafes, bars, parties, hustle work culture). But within15 minutes you can unwind in those beautiful beaches
Thanks for showing us your insightful recommendations mate! And sweet that you joined a fans' homestay for some time ❤️
We need a Bali sunset mix Chris!
love your mixes mate!
Uluwatu more exciting than Canggu.
Hi from me in Denpasar, Bali.
I've already watched your several video when you're in Indonesia.
Welcome to Indonesia n Enjoy this beautiful country,,,. 🙏🏻✌☺
The local gov must make extreem policy to change chaotic traffic on canggu... my suggestion is : prohibit personal Cars, and provide public trasportstion
then local rental for vehicles is gonna mad😅
another solution, the government should only issue non renewable 30 day visas
Good idea and how about electric scooter too. good luck erni herawaty.
Trust me that never gone happen
@@andrewyulianto1753 one can dream, right? I long for the Bali of 25 years ago.

Then you have a lot to catch up. No you have to Binged watch the whole channel
people like you is the reason i left bali after living there 20 years
May I ask why?
@@maazrehman6084 Because big parts of the island are just a shit show now.
Thank for the video and amazing vibe! You look like you are in paradise!
When i arrive in Bali i would not want to age or die because i am already in most beautiful paradise.
Be healthy happy and share more from paradise please. Love you're videos and happy vibe!

Spent 2 months living in the Uluwatu area 7 years ago, it was magic. Going back soon, can't believe you haven't visited this part of the island until now :)
it's changed alot. went there in 2019 and it was full of yuppies.... lots of money moving into the area.... kuta was empty and all the backpackers moved to the bukit, or to changu.
We were just traveling around Bali from the 10th to the 22nd. Our last 3 nights were in Uluwatu and the whole time leading up to that we were like damn, when is this video coming!? Needless to say we ended up watching back in Canada sadly, but we still had an amazing time in Uluwatu and Bali as a whole. Can’t wait to go back
I'm Indonesian, you know, not all Indonesian natives like and want to live in Bali, even now many have left Indonesia but many of them are still helping people in Indonesia.
The expats of Uluwatu do not want it to become another Canggu. That is one of the reasons so many are moving to Uluwatu, but I've definitely noticed that travellers prefer the beauty, chillaxed nature compared to Canggu.
I feel that Canggu has become a victim of its own success. High prices, over population, traffic jams, too many expats... Canggu is nice to visit, but the Bali equivalent feeling of living in Las Vegas.
Verdict:
20 - 30 years old. Canggu is cool.
30 - 40+ Uluwatu and visits to Canggu
Bali was beautiful many years ago before it was taken over by the Instagram set.
The insta people never show the rubbish, dog sht and the reality
Live in bali and eat western food, stay in villas, what a joke
😂 true true
How's the different?
I was there in 85, now what a change. Sad.
Beautiful discovery and i cant wait for your videos about buying a villa in Bali. As usual nice work!!! HELLO FROM MONTREAL BY THE WAY
Even as Indonesian but far away from Bali, I really enjoy your content, feels so connected, it's ur audio clarity, speech, videography, drone scenes, marvelous, watched till end even first time into your channel, great job bro, tq you for sharing the joy, hopefully can move to Bali one day
Will go back to Bali this October, can't wait anymore
went to bali 2017 to study there for a whole semester - by far the best experience ive made in my entire life so far
I love these chilled not doing anything too extreme/glamorous videos.
Tourist Holiday Vids!
I’ve been in Canggu the past few weeks and it’s pretty fun but real heavy on the partying. Pretty dangerous being on the roads at night. Uluwatu is way more cruisey. Love filming videos & shooting photo’s out here, a paradise for those with a camera
Another phemonal video brother! Visuals are on another level!! Thank you for showing us a different side of Bali
Yeah Gym Pizza Coffee REALLY DIFFERENT!
@lost leblanc please block jasmine bali. He's not from bali or indonesia.
It doesn’t matter where you go on the Southern tip of Bali, traffic is still an issue. I live in Goa Gong, in the Uluwatu area.
Gah! Traffic has made it to Uluwatu too now? I miss covid-Bali, best 2 years of my life 😍
I think living in Bali in general would be amazing tbh. Living the dream!
What you think and what is reality are 2 completely different things. Dreams can turn into nightmares. Fantasize all you like by watching these narcissistic videos. Dream all you like but that ain't reality.
I went to Bali in 2019 for three weeks and it was one of the most amazing places I've ever been. Never made it down to Uluwatu but it's on my list for sure now if I ever get to go back!
u can contact me when u want back to Bali..ill take u to Uluwatu and show u d whole in uluwatu. Serious. 😊
@@rohanimartha3296 i will come to Bali with my family on 22 June...one day i will spend all day in Uluwatu...can you show us Uluwatu ?? thank you

Hahhaa i like this comment! 😂🤫
I live in Uluwatu for 6 years now. Please people in Canggu stay in Canggu. LOL
Oh please !!!
True why all the influencer keep their stupidity to broken the peaces of heaven!
We were just yesterday in Balangan beach, eating martabak and drinking arak. Its beautiful, every part of Bali has its charms, we love our village Sanur. ❤
Love Sanur!
Agreed…couldn’t wait to get back to Sanur after a day trip to Canggu.
I just wonder do we need more places in Bali turning into Cangg....Is more development a good thing..?
I drove right through the heart of Canngu today at 5 PM. It was insane. The gov't needs to fix this asap. Its been 5 years of growth with the same exact roads.
The roads in bali can only be expanded so much. It was based by the old roads before modernisation. Bali isn't built like cities in australia or america where developers build everything from scratch
@@HarekaTysiri yes im here 4 years. Its only meant for 2000 people. Not 50,000 people. No easy solution. Cant even ban Cars on bike only roads.. they still Drive huge trucks and start smashing everything, power lines , trees. Ive seen it all. Only in Bali 😂

Uluwatu is a nice place as it sit on high ground. It’s also closer to beautiful beaches like Melasti and Pandawa if you prefer the beach life.
Looove the content! I keep learning more about Bali everytime I watch your videos. So informative

Really enjoyed this. Really good concept to stay for a week and get a better feel for what's on offer.
In my travels to Bali I had noticed that many area's have a unique vibe and offers a different kind of experience.
Never spent much time in Uluwatu but would definitely like to spend a couple weeks there.
Seems there is a place to suit whatever experience you wish to have in Bali.
Woo lost leblanc my brother. ❣️
I just love your cinematography also how you tell story just amazing.
Lot's of respect brother ❣️
Yep have never been in as such a strong current as one that I got stuck in and took a ride out with as in Uluwatu. Don’t fight em just go with em and then go across em.
As a non surfer, Lovina is my favourite place in Bali.
Thank you. My prize is watching your videos. I like Sanur and Nusa Dua also.
That 'secret' (balangan) beach at around 12.30 is actually super overrun (at least pre covid) the cliff is a hotspot for wedding photos and the beach is usually really crowded
Went once to Uluwatu and loved it. Didn’t get to explore too much because our little one was too little but it’s definitely worth checking out. Good video 👏
Great vid man! Canggu traffic rn is so bananas... I've only spent a handful of days in Uluwatu myself you're inspiring a staycation 😂
Missin' the last travel before Covid, Ukuwatu and Ubud where the 2 chill happy places I remember the best feelings.
This is such a well made Vlog. Very refreshing. From music to drone shots to POV, perrfect!
the quality of your videos is always so fantastic wow!
Amazing!! We have recently been there! Few days ago. Actually so chill and living there would be ideal, Canggu is soooo busy now haha
We're here in Canggu, Ubud and Uluwatu are all good areas, depending on what you want from the community and daily experience. Everything is 1 hour away anyways.
Hey, just came back from Bali a Week ago. Traveled the whole island and definitely enjoyed Uluwatu the most. You just missed definitely a hidden gem called the Cashew Tree! Next time you visit the Area, you have to check out this place! The food is so good and if you go there in the morning, join their fitness class. After that, visit El Kabron Day Club right at a cliff with a stunning view! In my opinion, Uluwatu/Bingin is definitely one of the best places in Bali.
I love Cashew Tree they had gluten free options
Cashew Tree Sounds NUTS!
I live across the street from Cashew Tree! :)
Cashew Tree is good... but the slow braised beef brisket from Gooseberry 😍
If its a hidden gem why post it online
Incredible scenery.Great video. Keep up the good work.
What local? they're french and Italian. Try live in Denpasar, in a small dirt cheap guest house for a month. That's being local.
Your videos have inspired me so much! Finally sent it last month and left to travel Asia as well as starting up my UA-cam. Keep creating man 🤌🏼
You and Thousands Of Others!

You should of seen how untouched Ulu's was in 92....a row of stalls on the cliff and a temple it was absolutely beautiful.
Now i look at all the westerners there and want to be sick.
This video felt like it went up a gear in quality 🔥 🚀
Another refreshing vlog. Your videos always make me feel happy. Also, I am about to order the bag!
Hi i like your detailed review about Uluwatu.
Maybe some notes that you and others can pay attention to when using the letter "ng" in the words Ungasan or Balangan, don't cut between "n" and "g" to become Un-gasan or Balan-gan, but pronounce them together to become Ung-asan or Balang-an
Hope you understand and can help.
Stay healthy and enjoy in Bali!
I will definitely have to return!! Bali is amazing and I need to visit Uluwatu✈🌍😁

Uluwatu is definitely my kinda place to live in .. Quiet, full of nature, little traffic
I just went on a trip to Uluwatu last weekend from Ubud and hiked that steep path to Nungullan beach. I also really liked Suluban beach, it looked really similar to Padang Padang 🏝
Just one thing for tourist that want to visit Bali, please respect our culture. Many ignorant and disrespectful tourist out there. We welcome you but it is our home not urs.
soon become their homes. lama lama byk bulee pusing jg. banyak gpp, kalo kebanyakan jgn deh
Thank you. I am from Congo Africa and live in New York, but I am planning to relocate to Bali. I love the culture and would love to help the locals plant rice. I used to do it back home
@@blessed1940 in your dreams. Stay in New York. If you want to come to Bali for a short holiday enjoy yourself, respect the Balinese people and their culture please do and then leave.
@@glennford7179 My parents have been there for 15 years now. And they do take care some charities there. Should they stop and come back? I will be there for long time. Don't put people in the same category. I sponsor children there and I want to meet them.
@@blessed1940 I'm afraid you took my comment out of context and your reply is somewhat vague. When you say "I am planning to relocate to Bali" that is fine if you are over the age of 55. Otherwise you can't live in Indonesian on a permanent basis. You mentioned that "My parents have been there for 15 years now". Does that mean that they have lived in Bali permanently for 15 years?
Again you took my comment out of context, what I implied was that if
a tourist thinks that they can come to Bali to help plant rice they are dreaming and having themselves on, and better off staying where they are.
Living in Bali and being on a holiday in Bali are two completely different things.
Too many tourists come to Bali on a holiday and boast that they are "living" or "lived" in Bali in order to impress others as so many of these types of narcissistic videos portray. I did not imply that your parents are in any way in the aforementioned category.
However it is very noble of your parents to support charities in Bali and you for sponsoring children in Bali if that is the truth. However if you are looking for Brownie points you ain't going to get any.
Best of luck.
Ulu = Top, Tip, Peak, End
Watu = Rock, Stone
That's why when you're at uluwatu basically you are on top of huge Rock
Great video! Our first trip to Bali was last month. Must say, we were not a fan of Canggu.
You wouldnt like Uluwatu i the early 90’s… From Padang’ish, and south, there was only dirtroads. There was only 3 warungs overlooking the surf (could have been 5, but in my mind there was three), and you had to wear a kidneybelt if U wanted to take a scooter to the cliffside temple… Those were the days 😜
Sounds Amazing!
I have been to that beach. My Indonesian friend took me there, he called it the secret beach. You're not supposed to tell people about it!
I’m editing my video on some of these exact same spots while I watch your video! Love that. I’m a big fan of Ulu. That’s the place for me.

Why turn the Bukit Peninsula into another Canggu?
Only thing good about Canggu is the restaurants. Other than that it's congested with too many bules and traffic
