Crate Cafe is great and the ice sal bowl looks delicious! That beach is so beautiful and your surfing skills are great! That gym is big and well-equipped. You can go there often to exercise! Your villa is so comfortable and being able to wash your socks every day is great! Haha! It turns out that you have known "Lost LeBlanc", and I have always wanted to introduce you to him, haha! Then you should know that he is building his own house! BALI is not only a wonderland, but also a resort. I look forward to going there one day! Thanks a lot for sharing, really great job! 👍🤩👏
I’m so excited to visit. I started watching your videos a few years ago and you gave me the travel bug. I’ll be leaving the country (USA) for the first time in my life in just over a week from now to visit a friend in Indonesia. I’ll be spending about half my time in Bali, then Medan and Jakarta. I only wish the trip could be more than 2 weeks. I feel like watching your channel has helped me prepare for this big moment. Keep them coming, Brett! Wishing you the best in your tea business endeavors too.
Bali is great if you are single or a young couple who’s adventurous but for a family or for the majority of western population. The bar they go to, what they don’t show you is the road that leads up to it has no sidewalks and if you try to walk there are stray dogs that will randomly chase you, the customer service is horrible. Changuu beach, you can’t swim because the waves are too strong and it’s rocky. In changuu there are some cool places to eat and yes it’s affordable but you have to go to one place then scooter to the next then scooter somewhere else forget driving. You could be stuck in traffic for an hour to go a mile going from changuu to Ubud. Bali is over hyped there are so many other places in the pacific where you get a better experience for the same or cheaper. If you are in your 20’s and early 30’s without a family yeah sure go to Bali and experience it. If you don’t want to be chased by stray dogs, get into scooter accidents and be able to walk places. Sorry for the hate, on this love your videos but no one ever tells the truth about this stuff and it’s a huge shock when you get there.
Bali not just Canggu n Ubud where most tourist come to visit.. eastern part of Bali more authentic balinese vibes such Sidemen,Amed n Tulamben... Or go to surrounding islands near Bali like Nusa Penida, Lembongan, the Gili's n Lombok... Even go further to the east like Sumbawa,Flores n Komodo island, Sumba,etc... Indonesia so huge man.. from western part to eastern part the same size like from California to New York.. many tourist didn't know that facts... They're only know Bali, Bali n Bali is so small island..
If you watch youtube videos of Bali, they are mostly done by young singles/couples which should give you an inkling already that they see and experience Bali from their point of views.
Only americans can spend so many money in bali... It's so much cheaper than in this video! You're not living Bali, you're living in an american village in Bali, built for american people...
Finally someone that understands. I am tired of these rich Americans spending hunders to thousands of dollars per day in every country they visit and make people think that it's very expensive when in reality they can survive with just 500 dollars for a week.. this inculdes accomondation, food and some activities! Especially in countries like Indonesia, Tanzania and many more!
He's saying "what I spend" emphasis on the I. Most Americans that have the money to visit are going to splurge, no one is going to go on vacation and be broke.
Exactly these people make destination unaffordable for e eryone. I live in Vancouver, Canada one of the most expensive cities in the world and pay that much or even less for bf.
Do you have a video or guide on how to travel to Bali? Like how it works with customs etc, the best way to go from the airport, find a villa in a good space like you? Would love a video like that as I’ve never traveled outside the US before?
from airport u can find Grab or Gojek booth ( ride hailing app seems like Uber in US ) to go to your destination or hotel. Grab or Gojek apps also provide oder for food & beverages.
I'm a guy that's wanted to go to Bali for a long time and live there but I always wondered about the gyms, that looks pretty sweet. However kind of small.
The minimum income in Bali is 187 dollars a month. The average income in Bali is 345 Dollar in a month . 50% of people on the island of Bali have an income of less than 345 dollars a month.

I Will visit Bali to tomorrow with my parents for hari mudik, i can't wait to Enjoy to see the view of the mountain and Rice Field and also Enjoy the Sunset in Bali with my parents :p
He is correct, though all the prices in the video are expensive compared to what you could have gotten. I am saying this bc I have been living in bali for the past 2 years
1:59 Millions of dollars from Foreigner . Entering Bali turns rice fields into buildings. Because Indonesia has no rules regarding zoning. As long as the building is under 10 stories then you don't need additional permits. Not to mention inflation because there are a lot of them Foreigner Not Hanay on holiday but living in Bali. And shopping at the local market. Increase prices in local markets 2:34 rupiah not rupee
Damn i pay $14 for the açaí bowl. I would get that every day. Renting the scooter is so cheap. The gym is definitely nice. Damn laundry every day 😱 love the night life vibes. A skating board bar 😎 great video Brett 💪🏽
"a considerable number of foreigners started living in Bali and over-glorifying the low-cost living by promoting it on social media, which could lead to gentrification. The discourse of gentrification in Bali has emerged repeatedly over the years on social media due to foreign digital nomads flocking to the island and advertising this “ideal” way of a low-cost living lifestyle. This is problematic because of various reasons, one of which is the fact that privileged foreigners are enforcing this idea that Bali is the perfect and affordable place to live in, when in reality that is not always the case when it comes to the local people. The emergence of such digital nomads elucidates the welfare disparity between Indonesians and foreigners. With the income disparity and cheap cost of living, digital nomads can live in luxury on a low-income island where the local’s income is undeniably lower than theirs. Simply said, these digital nomads are people who moved from wealthy nations in search of a cheaper means of living. This further showcases the travel colonialism that Bali is currently facing." We are now on a ball in canggu, the most terrible holiday destination we visited in 70 countries, after the hotel is such a nasty environment, dirty streets, ocean and terrible beaches, tourists can see that from the lowest social spheres from Russia and Australia, USA lol
Sorry to say this, but because of such people, the balinese experience is ruined. Why the need to show off and splurge insane amounts of money?! This has negative effects on local people as well, who can no longer afford living on the island. In 5 -10 years time, the prices will be at the same level as NYC
It's $174/month, I checked the gym's website. He said it wrong. Still a ridiculous price for a Bali gym. This guy paints the wrong picture for anyone who visits Bali by getting scammed his whole trip
How else would he be able to travel and make these videos? Nothing is free and watching a 30 second ad to help support Brett, his amazing content is well worth the advertisement.

Families tend to stay in hotel / resort / villa in Nusa Dua / Uluwatu area to get more peaceful beach / cliff environment, or Ubud for the jungle
Good comments, lot of bs Bali paradise videos out there
