- We spent 2 months living in Bali. It was truly a magical experience.
For the first month we stayed in Ubud. We explored around the city center and some interesting places just outside the city center.
We then headed south to Nusa Dua and spent several days at the beach and exploring nearby areas like Uluwatu.
This trip has been amazing, but it wasn't until we reached Bali that we really experienced a different way of life. It was absolutely brilliant. We will return to Indonesia someday to explore more of the beautiful islands and to meet more amazing human beings.

Regarding the street seller, he said five hundred 500.000 IDR, which is very much to Indonesian standards. But you had to start to bargain or directly say no (tidak) To do so you need to know a realistic price and always play the game with a smile and with respect. He did not trick you, your reaction was not clear. You provided him an opening for the bargain game but you let it go. That’s the reason why he came up with the much lower price. Which you interpreted as tricking. Keep in mind that it makes a huge difference when sold the bike, even for 100k. It may mean diner for his family that evening.
Traffic in (the center/surroundings) of Ubud can be a nightmare. So be realistic, during rush hours only a few gojek or grab drivers will be available and might be stuck in traffic.

Like all touristy place, Bali got some tourist traps and some street vendors that prolly trying to scam you. They would not be as aggressive as the one in Paris (that 100% try to extort you), bcos they actually sell the goods for a living and only try to charge more to foreigners. As long as you say "No, thankyou" they'll leave you alone.
As for the roads, narrow roads are common in Bali because its a hilly regions and its not as crowded in the suburbs.
And if you have a packed schedule, you can consider hiring a daily driver. It usually costs around 1mil-2mil rupiah per day, but its worth it as they can give you some local recommendations (on foods, bar, etc) and they know the schedule of the shows in some places (like Barong / Kecak dance shows).

Omg you killin me with the kite hahaha.. you just need one people help to set it up to fly in distance.. i think 500m is good, then you pull as fast as you can to launch the kite. Than voila your kite is launch. In land surely not much wind but if your kite in open air a little high the wind will help you a lot. You dont need to run to launch the kite hehe. Loving this video guys. I stayed at a villa in Sayan village in Ubud in early December 2023. I thought I recognised Warung Ting Ting, then later in the video you confirmed it for me. Hidden Villa was very close to the warung and I ate there many times during my stay. Enjoyed the food and the music. A local explained that Ting Ting is a famous Indonesian singer. You all have amazing stamina, especially the kids, like little Energizer bunnies 😃😍i love Bali and Ubud in particular. Been there many, many times, as I live in Australia.

Fortunately, we didn't have any negative experiences besides the monkey incident in Uluwatu, but we know to be more alert and careful. We started traveling full time in March, before Bali we were in Europe. Thank you for watching!
