Before typing your question please be sure to watch the video in its entirety first. I cover as much as I can that relates to the topic. If you find that I haven’t answered your question after you watch the video, then feel free to ask. Thank you!

    Hello Airman ! Great video.
Im currently cursing techschool 4n0x1 and honestly I don’t like medicine , blood, etc. I just received a brief about Flight med tech, I also have a degree in management, and I would prefer an administrative job rather than a med job. Would you recommend me to take the 4N0x1F path? Or maybe just stay and wait some years and retrain to other job? Thanks in advance

At the end of the day it’s your decision but if you know you don’t like the medical side of house & you have the opportunity to cross-train, why wait? I would suggest you talk to your leadership as soon as possible to start that process & make sure that’s the route you want to take. Also, medical admin or personnel may have been a better route for you, (check and see if those jobs are available). Tech school is much shorter for those AFSCs too.

So I’ve watched the entire video, and I can’t find much information about this on google. Do I need a degree/other certifications to be a flight medic? I want to go active duty right after I graduate high school.

Flight medics are enlisted personnel, you do not need a degree to get this position in the Air Force. Just let your recruiter know that X4N0X1 is the primary position you’re going for. You’ll earn an EMT-B, TCCC tier 3, & BLS certifications for this specific AFSC. You can obtain additional certification as well.

When do days usually start and end ? and did you ever have to be in class before 7am in both part 1 and 2 of flight school? I’m a single mom living in Dayton Ohio and wanted to know if it was doable.

The schedule changes often, after about day 3. FN/AET has an okay schedule but AEIQ is a different story, depends on your crew & how well you all work together. You’ll see when you get there but it’s something you have to do regardless of what you have going on. The perks of being in the military. Your instructors in FN/AET may work with you but the ones in AEIQ will not.

Did you have to jump out of any planes during your training?

That’s not a requirement of my job, so no.

Do you get to pick between a Flight Nurse or a Nurse that works in Clinic on Ground?

Flight nurse is a flight nurse. If you want clinic or ground work, you won’t be a flyer, hence the name flight nurse.

Why did you go enlisted instead of becoming an officer

There’s a video about that on my channel.
