Any advice for someone who already has a full time GOV job, and college degree wanting to join the reserves?
Reach out to a line officer recruiter (talk to more than one, if necessary) for the branch of service you’re interested in.

I’m thinking of joining, but not sure how to navigate with having a child. Do you have any suggestions.
Before you meet with a recruiter make sure you have a clear and stable family care plan. Family care plan consist of your child’s info & who you’d trust to watch them once you go off to basic training & tech school. Then once you have that in place make sure you have a back up person you trust in place, just in case something happens. It’s a stressful situation to leave your child behind & more stressful when the person you thought would take care of them the whole time can no longer do that.
You should try to go to OTS. Youre a smart girl just got caught up in the E world.
