What people are not mentioning is that only three EV companies in China are profitable - BYD, Li Auto and Tesla all the rest are still losing money which is why many predict the number of EV manufacturers will shrink drastically as many of those companies go out of business when state backing dries up.

    • @whitemoon5752

The market will regulate itself, and if Chinese cars aren't popular, consumers around the world won't want to buy them. The fact of the matter now is that electric cars in Europe and the United States are unpopular, and they have to use forces outside the market.

    • @michaeljiang960

You just want short working hours, good salary and one month long summer holiday! And also not much focus on manufacturing R&D. So low skills, not hard working workers and no new technology, how to compete? Luckily, your politicians are very creative, let's call it "Over-Capacity" and name and shame China, so that we can use tariffs as obstacles. In the end, tariffs will slow China down a bit. But once they start making cars in Mexico, Hungary, Spain, etc. Then your low tech and costly cars will go to the landfills!
