The PV was created using NeRF, the latest photography technique using AI.
We will exhibit at the Japan Mobility Show (formerly Tokyo Motor Show).

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but armored core is the LEAST realistic of all the mechs genres. or at least one of them, evangelion and stuff like that is worse of course lol. But there speed/movement is just unrealistic for the proportions.

You know that the machine isn't doing much when the camera has to constantly swoop, cut and use extreme close-ups to make it seem dynamic and exciting.

The trouble is just that people want combat robots. Those suck and will always suck, simple as that. The main use is more likely going to be industrial and construction. The ability to pick up different tools instead of completely swapping them on something like a bulldozer would be fairly beneficial.

The design is more like those from the game war robots with a mix of Gundam
More like a Labor from Patlabor or AC from Armored Core.
This is straight up a prototype Armored core tetrapod MT
were they the kuratas from the previous?
imagine going out with your friends and you are proud driving your ferrari. you park with a big smile on your face. then one of your friend park his gundam beside your car.
This looks very similar to the Kuratas made by Suidobashi Heavy Industries back in 2012. I wonder if some of the engineers were involved.
Whatever the case, this is a big achievement and the love and attention to detail to this project is visible.
Machines like these would be perfect for logistics, transportation and using tools.
The Kuratas had a cameo in the Patlabor Live Action movie. Maybe we’ll see this somewhere in the future-

@@ulforcemegamon3094TBH it sounds like Suidobashi Heavy Industry had a bad rep after that Megabots fiasco, and they sold the tech and bot to cut their losses. This genuinely looks like the result of a new owner making a few modifications to an existing design and trying to sell it again. Changing out hydraulics for electric systems would explain the weight reduction. No shade being thrown here, lets just be honest about what this really is.

リアルとロマンのせめぎ合いを感じる
アニメ的な理想を求めると２足にしたいところだと思いますが、現実性を突き詰めていくと(バランスの問題もありますが、)「脚」にする必然性がそもそもないとも言われますね。タイヤやキャタピラの方が安定するので。

ただし姿勢制御の問題もあるので、仰るように現実性が問題
@@caic3235 跨げる事はメリットですが、バランスを克服するのが難しいんですよね。そこにコストと時間を割くよりは段差を「登る」事に研究者は開発を注力させてるように感じます。瓦礫を上るキャタピラとか実際に研究されてましたし。
まあでも２足歩行のロボットも見てみたいですね。

I thought I saw something similar with wheel on a train track being used to work on overhead cables and other infrastructure. Anthropoid robots have a lot more applications in heavy industry than they do as fighting machines. I 'd like to see them developed more in that direction.

更に胴体に対してのマニュピレータ部分の大きさがもっと大きくなったりしたらゲームとかアニメで見るそれと近い。あと何年でMSと(装甲材は問わず)同等の機体が出来るのか楽しみ

And i think those mechs will be far more efficient than traditional machines to save people affected by disasters like earthquakes or tsunamis (engineers must develop a waterproof and floating type)
Imagine all the road rages we could do. Shaking a mechanical fist would be a lot more dramatic since it is as big as a tire.

I think the trend is for more companies to manufacture these mechas like car manufacturers, that is, the same product but with different names and brands and varying prices.

これが役立つのは工事現場かなぁ。
マニュピレータ内側に分厚くラバーを貼ってもらって、外装タイル板を接着するときとか、雨樋パイプを立てるときとか、部材を支えてもらったりすると、いいかも知れないなぁ。
背面バックパックに作業員が乗る可動伸縮式のゴンドラを付けてもらって、マニュピレータに支持してもらっているすぐ近くまでゴンドラを伸ばして、職人さんが仕上げ工事出来ると良いなぁ。少なくとも2階、3階までは、足場は要らなくなるかもね。
こんだけ自重があれば、数トンあるようなデカいハシゴ(昇降ゴンドラ付き)をぎゅっと握って支えることも出来そう。高所作業車要らなくなるかもね。
