I loved the traffic management aspect of C:S and I will never look at junctions the same way while driving because of it, but the core gameplay loop didn't get me hooked the same way SC4's did. In C:S you just slam down services until everything is green and then your city grows in size and wealth, SC4 is a bit more nuanced and challenging in that respect. Plus I'm a sucker for aesthetics; SC4's style and music was immaculate and the game really gave you a sense of scale. Both games are great for different reasons but what we really need is a modern take on the SC4 formula.
Personally I think SimCity 4 is better because you don’t need mods to actually make the game playable, vanilla Cities Skylines lacks so many features or quality of life improvements it’s not even funny. Unlike SimCity 4 where I can happily play vanilla and not think twice about using mods to improve the experience.
SIM City 4 for sure - I have tried cities skylines a few times, but I find myself spending 90% of the time planning bus routes and garbage handling which is not what I want to spend my time on when trying to build a city. Sim city 4 is more city planner and cities skylines is more from an engineering perspective.
Right, cities skylines is more realistic as far as planning and getting money and how to incorporate commercial and industry. SimCity is more arcady as far as play style. Many people have different preferences. You definitely have to learn the game to really play it.
I actually rather like all that stuff that you don't like in Cities: Skylines. Managing things is cool in my opinion. Makes me feel closer to the city. :)
Nice comparison. One point that I consider of a high importance is the Music. As an old, hardcore player of SC4, I truly am in love with its music. Such a masterpiece!
No offence to those that loves cities skylines... but regardless of the beautiful scenarios the game is kind of easy and souless... I never get myself strugling with the budget as it was in SC4. I think for those who prefer the design of the city, go for C:S. Who prefer the admnistration thing SC4 still have no substitute
I normally like a challenge, but I could not for the life of me figure out how to get skyscrapers in SC4, no matter what I did. It eventually made me quit and return to SC3000 Unlimited. At least until I discovered Cities Skylines a few years ago.
Because the time was 2003 (the old times) and it was too hardware demanding too make it fully 3D. The computers would've not run it If it was fully 3D, so they went with the classic isometric design. And yeah the buildings Are 3D.

I have over 1000 hours on Fallout 4. By far the second highest, but very distantly behind the Sims 3 at 4,900 hours, lol. CS comes in at third with 680 hours.
@@SomeGuyWhoPlaysGames333 Which Sim City Games have you played? Skylines is sterile compared to Sim City. Skylines is very neat and tidy. Almost too neat and tidy.
While being a die hard Simcity fan (nostalgic as i only played cities skylines for years) i am installing the old king again and so happy that others are still playing thegame!!
As a player of both games. I do love how Simcity 4 had a more interactive vibe to it, having connections to other cities, having advisors warn you and talk to you, and the fact that you could drive cars as a tutorial and create your own sims. Cities Skylines is amazing and modern, but it doesn't compete against the OG of City building games. Simcity started it all!
Yeah, that level of interactivity makes SC4 feel more alive... that's why I am over here advocating for C:S2 to have some kinda of "Council pushback" or "citizens petitions"
i think cities skylines is more a traffic simulator while simcity 4 has more emphasis on demand and zoning. personally i like the look and feel of sim city 4 more due to the way zoning works vs. cities skylines. more of a sandbox feel
You know what, I agree with "traffic simulator" part. I know that it should be realistic, but damn, i just want to chill down and look for my beautiful city... Not trying to fix every little part of the roads...
@@parryhotter1604 yeah sometimes it's fun to design and fix your road network but I like to play city games for the aesthetic mostly. Cities skylines cities always look a little unrealistic to me unless you put massive effort into detailing
There is one thing that makes Cities Skylines way more enjoyable for me. It is the workshop! There are hundreds of thousands custom assets, mods, maps etc available to add to your game. You can create your own assets and recreate literally any place in the world. Also as mentioned by others - every citizen is an individual. They don't just spawn randomly. Each of them has assigned place to live and work or study. They grow, they learn, they age, they reproduce and finally die. You can follow every single one of them and you'll see they have daily routines. This makes traffic management souch more enjoyable. Overall i guess simcity 4 might be a a better "game" for some, but Cities Skylines gives you an opportunity to make your city actually unique. And visually CS is far more superior than SC4. No surprise though as CS is 12 years younger.
SC4 has a workshop, it's just not a steam workshop. Go on Simtropolis and SC4D and you'll see there is tons and tons and TONS of high-quality assets on their download repositories. SC4, even for its age, still has an active modding community! There's even mods that completely overhaul base-game functionalities, for example: NAM completely overhauls the road systems. The citizens with jobs, goals, etc. sort of exists in SC4. There's a feature where you can create a Sim to actually live in your city. They have a house, work, you can even see their thoughts. And, imo, SC4 has better graphics. C:S without graphics mods looks like shit; everything is way too damn bright. Even with graphics mods that make the colors more realistic I still prefer SC4
Simcity 4's mods are really great, so great that they almost become essential to playing the game. Playing vanilla SC4 is pretty much just SC3000 with better graphics. Cities Skylines has much better accessibility to mods though, it's even shown on the main menu. Regardless, both games have an amazing modding community. Neither game is objectively better, I think Cities Skylines is better for those who are playing more casually, since it in general has a lot less complexity than SC4. I personally grew up and love SC4 though. Also am I the only one who finds the hearse mechanic in Cities Skylines ridiculous? I never understood why an entire skyscraper would go abandoned just because a dead body couldn't be moved out in time.
I ahte the buildings in CS, the simcity4 is the winner in this. Because simjcty 4 looks like america, its realistic, i cant say it about the CS, and vanilla CS is really not so godo like simcity4
Basically, what you're saying is. Cities Skylines is better because it's a modern game and has a 20 year technological advantage over the prehistoric dinosaur of Sim City 4. Yeah, no argument there. The only problem is, to load a CS map takes 5 to 10 minutes for an area of maybe, at most, 25 km2; other than that, it's great
In my humble opinion I still consider Sim City 4 as the best one. To me the game is purely amazing still to this day. I appreciate its scope and I truly love the modding community and all the great stuff that you put in Sim City 4 like other beautiful historical monuments. The game looks nice graphically. To build a proper big city in SC4 you truly need to spend some decent amount of time on it and be dedicated to your idea.
@@gauravpdaksh Yes you can lay train tracks like you do roads, you even have elevated rail, monorail, subway. With mods you even get Trams that you can set up on the roads ( avenues). I start playing sim city 3000 on the 90s at my friends computer, we didn’t get along too well, but he knew I loved the game so he let me play many hours while I was at his house . 😂 Now at nearly at my 40s I still play this marvelous game. Always bring great memories.
@@Cacowninja he only wanted to play with me when he didn’t had anyone else. We didn’t get along too well, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t had great times.
I honestly disagree on the dencity and the wealth point. Yes, there’s no medium dencity areas in Cities: Skylines, but there’re still high and low wealth residencies of the both avaiulable dencities, and it’s tied to both the land value and the citisens’ education level. I have an extra hight wealth low dencity residential area with mansions and such, and I have a pretty tightly packed cheap apartment high-rises. And I don’t use any mods whatsoever. On the other hand, you didn’t mention one of the points in favour of SC4, which is: how hardcore and unforgiving it could be and how it requires much more careful planning with all other variables equal.
I choose Simcity 4, i just find more fun and interesting, also its runs better on old computers/has lower system requirements, also it doesn't cost over 200 dollars to buy all the dlc (there are sometimes steam sales where its 50% off or more sometimes but thats still alot and I usually try to get all the dlc for any game before i start playing so its a complete experience)
The cost is $173.89 for the base game and all expansion packs, including the deluxe edition. There are also radio stations and content creator packs, but those aren’t necessary (nor are the expansion packs), and cost around $5 for the CC packs and $4 for the radio stations. The total cost for everything is 224.75, but if you are getting everything you would only pay 204.50. So yes, technically the DLC is over $200, but only because they offer radio stations (which may have copyrighted music) and Content Creator packs, which are essentially what you can find on the Steam Workshop, just with more guaranteed quality.
You don't need to buy all Cities: Skylines's DLC, though. Just pick what you like. For instance, some players do not want to deal with the aftermath of Natural Disasters, nor the micromanaging of Industries. Besides, every release of expansion packs are accompanied with free update, such as: • day/night cycle • tunnels • overground metro • reworked noise logic
I feel SC has more personality. With advisors and milestones like a city hall, court house and mayors house. While Skylines is clearly more sophisticated in many ways it feels also more generic.
I've heard people complain about the advisors and the pop-ups, but I love them. It just doesn't feel the same without people yelling at you over the budget.
Simcity 4 simulation is far superior. Cities Skylines is the typical "just improve the services and density and people will build skyscrapers". Simcity 4, try that and you just get rich houses. Skyscrapes are a matter of demand, and to get high demand you have to make your city "central", connect to other cities and make new residents go for your central city. Of course this system is totally absent in CS.
skyscraper construction is tied to many factors, not just zoning density and utilities. in addition, cities:skylines simulates every single citizen of said city, and the traffic system is much more punishing.
It's one city in sities skylines, and buildings levels are based on 19 things. How is it being absent is a problem if there arent multiple cities at all?
Couldn't get into CSL, 3/4 of the game is managing traffic flow which is tedious and often times overly complicated, it almost feels like you need a degree in civil engineering to make things work. Proper traffic management in CSL also requires you to create consolidated clusters of buildings, which make your cities feel unnatural.
I choose city skylines because i can do shit like put tank everywhere Start a neclear war Put Down Lenin Statue And Start A America City And Steal The World Oil What A Bootiful game
@@JinnYoungKim I think he is describing features of Natural Disasters DLC in an exaggerated manner. You can summon natural disasters yourself, location, and even adjust the amount of horror you wish to inflict to the citizens. I believe SimCity have similar feature as well.
I've started playing SC4 again cuz my C:S is crashing w/ mods too much, so man does this comparison hit home. I love both games and you're parsing of who wins what points is so accurate
It’s also 12 years older than Skylines. No shit it has lower hardware requirements, Skylines was released around the same time as Windows 10, while SimCity 4 was from pre-Vista. There are literally 5 main Windows operating systems between the two. You are essentially saying that FSX is better than FS2020 because it has lower specs.
My question is why can't a city builder be both accurate and scalable? I mean when you really boil it down City Skylines may be more accurate because every sim has a detailed simulation, but that's not the only way to simulate accurately. What would be better is a prediction model that closely matches real life. There will be some problems at first, but with enough programming, I could see it surpassing individual simulations in accuracy. Make it more tangible by studying real-life statistics and then make a mass simulation rather than trying to find each outlier.
I have played almost every city building game made since the late 80s, and SimCity 4 is the best modern-day (theme) city builder ever made, in my *personal opinion*. Honorable mentions: Simcity 1, 2000, 3000, Tropico Series, Cities Skylines.

I like the graphics in Sim City 4 more, it has a more unique and iconic visual style, Cities Skylines feels cartoony and unreal to me. Sim City 4 is kinda gritty, and looks more like an actual city like New York.
Still have to play 4. I loved 3000 but too bad the "export water" bug prevents selling water to neighbors. I feel like 3000 is too hard to make a budget and too random, buildings get abandoned all the time, doesn't make sense. Cities XL also deserves a mention, but poorly optimized for only single core CPU. The developers would sell heaps of money if they decided to update it.
Im according with you, i have 6 cities in SC3000, and the most part of buildings are abandoned, but in simcity 4 they just get abandoned by don't having water, job or not having roads.
These two games are complementary to each other. One does well what the other does not. The ideal City Builder would be the best of both worlds, take the best aspects of both games and mix them together. Oh and for the lovers of SC4 music, well, a mod for the radio stations can allow you to play SC4 music into the game...
Thinking about getting city skylines, do have sim 4 rush hour. Some thing to mention about sim 4 is that you can change the terrain and must maintain the government and city expenses. I also think sim is coming out with an add on to the moon when you get your space shuttle added. My sim 4 has a population of 374 million inhabitants and my total government surplus is over $1.7 trillion. :)
i remember being addicted to SC4 dulux edition i even read the SC4 walkthrough page for page id play it over CS although not a live game i had withdrawal symptoms not playing it lol
CS feels a bit boring for me. I tried to build a city many times, but once I reached high density zoning, I stopped playing. SC4 on the other hand is a childhood experience, I spend a lot playing it. So either I am too old for city building simulators or SC4 is better for me. I don't know
Glad you didn't compare Cities Skylines to SimCity 5 (2013), because I think we all know which one we would pick, even though you did mention it briefly in this comparison.
But; in Cities Skylines, the wealth of people is determined by Land Value. So it is there. But everything there is more simple to manage in the terms of the whole city.
Thank you - interesting video. I couldn't get into Skylines all that much despite loving Sim City 2000. I can see Sim City 4 costs less than £1 now lol, so will defo get it
For me biggest downside of CS is blandness of buildings in base game and dlc.. They lack character and style and you need tons of mods before it even comes close..
My only issue is that the base game skyscrapers aren’t very tall. Compared to real life, they, at best, would be in a medium sized city. Apart from that though, the buildings look just fine.
In my humble opinion City Skylines is more for the person who wants to simulate the complexity of a real city. SIMCITY is a game - City skylines is a city simulator. Being able to understand the complexity of the life of a single citizen is like gold. The fact that people keep their jobs even when you move them to different places and the fact that the traffic is a reality gives road planners alot more to think about when playing the simulator
The simulation in SC is completely broken man. No matter what you do, your citizens will always be happy. They can be living in a city without any police or health support, drowning in waste water and they will still be happy. Also, they magically go to work if their workplace is not connected to their home. How can they reach if there is no road? Magic. Must be the same magic that make cars disappear. In the complexity of a big city I expect at least that cars take more than one lane, but not in CS; cars can spend hours stuck on a single-lane traffic jam while the other lanes are completely free just because they will eventually turn right, making it the shortest (but not the fastest) route. I wonder what is that complexity you talk about. Because citizens, and even worse service vehicles choose their destination randomly, creating those classic garbage trucks and hearses lines flooding all your roads because they choose to go the other side of the city, instead of addressing a closer area. Oh and let's not mention those fancy death waves, or the fact that one skyscraper can hold like 20 citizens. City Skylines is definitely not a simulator. It surely enjoys claiming it, but when you get deep into it you quickly realize it is a glorified city painter with a broken AI traffic minigame on top. If you can pay it! Because most content is behind an expensive DLC paywall. And now with a new wonderful launcher and EULA that you MUST accept, which allows you sell your personal information to multiple parties, some people have noticed the launcher includes a fucking keylogger, at least in the Mac version. SimCity is definitely a simulation game. CS is a scam.
To the zoning issue, while it is not tied to the wealth of sims (that's all education, land value, services), you can zone, use districts and policies to get the look you want. But unless you're an engineer-like person, you're probably not going to want to spend the four or so hours it takes to make that interchange at the 12k-15k pop mark in order to handle all of your industrial production and to manage your commercial deliveries. I love SimCity 4 and Rush Hour but compared to CS, it's not even a contest for me. Basically, CS is a traffic simulator with a city builder on the side. Sim City, on the other hand, is a straight city builder that really doesn't care about road mechanics. Placing an industrial area right off the highway versus placing it on a collector behind a residential area makes little difference in SC4, but in Skylines, it's basically death to your city. You have much finer control over what buildings spawn, how parks function, walkways, industrial management, and how your city looks and feels as opposed to SC4.
Either stop using Windows 7 or disconnect your PC from the internet. You are putting every device on WiFi networks you connect to at risk because you insist on using an outdated operating system.
@@sicksixgamer2694 dude just go to steam and download dlcs. If you dont have a steam account, just download it from other websites cause there are bunch of them
Simulation in CS is broken, it is simply not true the AI is following each single citizen, cars are even dissappearing c'mon dude, also no matter what you do your citizens are always happy, they can be drowning in fecal matter and they will still be happy, service vehicles decide their destination randomly, traffic ignores lanes and will always take the shortest route, sometimes 4 o 5 ambulances can be stuck on the right lane waiting for a big queue because they will eventually turn right while the left lane is completely empty, money income and population demand feel completely random, they can drastically change without any change in your city or any information of what's going on, death waves are awful, skyscrapers ca n hold like 20 residents each, which will take a car to the other side of the city to buy bread instead of the closest shop, city policies are almost nonexistent and they hardly have any effect on the game. Also most content is behind DLC paywall, and they recently added a launcher and EULA that collects private information and sells it to third party, you must consent this if you want to keep playing even if you owned the game already, which is now online-only. This game looks beautiful at the first few hours, then you realize how broken and shallow is. I would not even consider it a simulation game, it's more like a city painter with a broken AI traffic minigame.
Simcity 4 all the way. Soundtrack, humor and visual identity was better. For simulation, it’s organic complex growth with overlapping variables was more rewarding and complex. Cities Skylines feels too much linear (aside from traffic but that is all, the rest is more linear upgrade without any false optima). I understand that we can prefer CS, but people who say that CS is the real Simcity 5 are wrong. It is completely different and latest DLCs show that CD has became more of a city painter than a proper simulation GAME. I play CS to relax but I will always miss Simcity if no real successor comes out… An Honestly CS is newer and 3D but it not really good looking plus very bland.
My biggest gripe is that Skylines has no wealth attributes, or crime because of wealth and the inability to micromanage each individual assets' budget. Once they fix that, I will spend more time on skylines. I think why Sim City 5 and Skylines do not have wealth attributes is because of today's social justice issues.
Wealth can be controled with the control building level mod. I was able to create a low income district by controlling the residential building to 1, get public housing blocks as assets and implementing the school’s out policy.
Both games are good in their own way and shouldn't be compared to each other like that. They are both from different eras. A player who first played one game before the other will just prefer the first one, because he is used to either the gameplay or the graphics and difficulty.
most important parts of me that make me unable to play simcity 4 today is Traffic is fake om simcity 4, you see a display version of you the actual simulation happens on background, while on skylines every car you see is a acctualy simulated agent what you see is the simulation, (the game allow the car to dissapear if he get stuck over several minutes) skylines have water physics.... this kinda make me unable to enjoy simcity 4 cause the traffic is fake, and the simulation of the traffic/people is worse, howeever simcity 4 have many cool things like challenges little quests like the casino having to drive a car and so.
I think that If simcity 2013 get an update with new regions with bigger maps (approximately the size of the big simcity 4 map) and introducing farms to the gameplay then there is no other game in city construction gender.I hate Ea because they only care about money and they have left us with tiny size cities.
cities skylines is a copy of sim city but with better graphics and less content. CS divided what is included in base SC into expensive dlc, so to hell with them

Sim City 4 is the best city builder ever. Cities Skylines is really good don't get me wrong, and it certainly adds to the city building progression with newer computers and what not. Dont get me wrong, cities skylines kicks @ss! I mean, sure, and it's a great progression for city building games in general. I can't deny that. They should make games more like Sim city 4 again though. The reason why sim city 4 is the best, is simply due to the fact that you actually have a shot at making a megaregion with a computer. For some reason, city building games don't focus on that anymore with their beefy graphic requirements. They should consider toning down the graphics of modern city builders in favor of better gameplay and more area of control. Like I want a game like grand theft auto 3 mixed with Sim City 4, that's the game I want to play! Like basically Sim City 4 in 3D playabilities, that the computer video card and RAM can actually handle all that, because graphics are not that perfect.
Yeah but that's expected from any game released before ~2007-ish considering: a) One thread usage from the CPU b) Using old versions of Direct-X or any old APIs that probably won't be using your GPU to its fullest (not sure on this, but don't expect extrapolation performance gains) c) 32-bit only versions of the games only allows 4GB of ram (eg. Skyrim and the problem it had with extensive mods needing more than 4GB of ram)
SimCity 4 hands down. Cities: Skylines is just so boring and I forget that I'm building a city because I have to pay attention to every detail. I get some people like C:S for it's complicated gameplay but SimCity 4 I could just play for hours.
City skylines all the way for me. Honestly I didnt even know there was a debate about which game is better, because from most sources and people I hear, it is the best city building game of this gen. Most of the arguments I read here is that the game is easy, well I bet most of them havent even reached that far in the game, you can still enable hardmode, and through mods you can make traffic more realistic (like disabling vehicle de spawning and realistic parking) or by playing on premade scenarios as you try to revive a failing city. But for most players playing cities skylines, its not about the difficulty, although a nice challenge is always welcome, but building a beautiful and detailed city piece by piece and detailing it to your liking and making sure its functional is truly the most captivating aspect of the game. And people complaining that its a traffic simulator, yeah? Is traffic not one of the biggest parts of what makes a city a city? The game is also actively getting updates and dlcs, not to mention it has a very active community. Concerning engine limitations, yeah you mostly wont play on 60 fps, but does it really matter? I think people are being a little too spoiled. The game isnt an fps, you genuinely dont need 60 frames. The game is very playable even at 30 fps. That said, play what you want, i couldnt care less what you’re playing
for some people fps is a must cause its pleasing for eyes and the smooth camera motion is pleasing, i am one of it. my friend even worse when he spotted game below 120 fps he would triggered.
10:53 - You are wrong, there is an 'in between', if you make a district first, tab the policies of that district, hit "disable highrise buildings" and you zone High density zones it will build up medium sized buildings. Furthermore, you are showing Cities Skylines here in a very POOR way, just look how the game looks today. And yes, you made the video in 2019, but even then there were already so many mods and options, nightlife and so much more detailing. The graphical quality you show here of Cities Skylines is totally BS, because the game CAN look way much better, not this relative low res foggy view you make of it. As of 2021 there is no comparison between these two games: Cities Skylines wins on all fronts. Another aspect I do notice in the comments is that you are giving 'hearts' to people who like Sim City 4 more, so you are biassed towards that game.

Skylines is bland, but mechanically superior.
Completely agreed. Everywhere feels far more generic and lacks a lot of the charm that kept me going in SC.
Uh, no, CS definitely has character, soul and great music. And while the art design isn’t really realistic, it still looks really nice.

@@gauravpdaksh pretty sure the only android versions were SimCity 3000 or SimCity build it - the latter is an awful cashgrab

@@GeneralEggo there is mod? Wow (ps4 player Cry in corner)
Considering Cities: Skylines is technically part of the Cities in Motion series that isn’t surprising.
The only problem is, to load a CS map takes 5 to 10 minutes for an area of maybe, at most, 25 km2; other than that, it's great
Sim City every day all day till the death of the human race…skylines is HORRID
In my humble opinion I still consider Sim City 4 as the best one. To me the game is purely amazing still to this day. I appreciate its scope and I truly love the modding community and all the great stuff that you put in Sim City 4 like other beautiful historical monuments. The game looks nice graphically. To build a proper big city in SC4 you truly need to spend some decent amount of time on it and be dedicated to your idea.
But u cant lay rail tracks like u lay roads in sim city???? Can we?
@@gauravpdaksh Yes you can lay train tracks like you do roads, you even have elevated rail, monorail, subway. With mods you even get Trams that you can set up on the roads ( avenues).

City skylines also scales down the population... that's why there's giant houses with 1 or 2 people only
Yeah, literally every game that simulates each person does that: Transport Fever 2, Cities: Skylines, etc.
@@julianrodriguez777 I'm saying that it's scaled down from what it would be like in real life, not that it's scaled down from what's in the game.
@@julianrodriguez777 My point is that Cities: Skylines does the exact same thing as SimCity.
Hate that...one of my main reasons for preferring SC4.
As for scale, with the realistic population mod, I get to cities with 600 000 people, the limit being my computer's power.
Yup same reason for me...
Yeah of course, because it was made nearly 20 years ago
Besides, every release of expansion packs are accompanied with free update, such as:
• day/night cycle
• tunnels
• overground metro
• reworked noise logic
SC4 actually runs on old and low end PCs, while CS does not.
Cities: Skylines DOES have medium density through policy.
Just ban high rises in high density zones, boom medium density ^^
SimCity 4. Cities Skylines is just Cities in Motion on steroids.
Sim City 4 for sure!
Classic and better!
@@jinonicolas4888 Thank you. Also, CS is WAYYYYYYYYY optimized because every citizen has a daily commute.

This is the only reason why it's better?
cities: skylines is way better, it took city building to a whole new level
Apparently you wasn't around back in the day. SC4 was a major benchmark for pcs back then.
Are you calling Hexen better than Doom Eternal
Well I personally I still love both games especially simcity 2013 I look stupid or moron but simcity 2013 is always has special place. For me (:

We can only hope C:S2 does both worlds well!
Thinking about getting city skylines, do have sim 4 rush hour. Some thing to mention about sim 4 is that you can change the terrain and must maintain the government and city expenses. For me biggest downside of CS is blandness of buildings in base game and dlc.. They lack character and style and you need tons of mods before it even comes close..
That's definitely an overstatement.
My only issue is that the base game skyscrapers aren’t very tall. Compared to real life, they, at best, would be in a medium sized city. Apart from that though, the buildings look just fine.
Actually in cities skylines for example 100 000 people is ACTUALLY 1 000 000
No
@ actually yes
I'm a SimCity 4 deluxe guy man playing that for years but I had a laptop with Windows 7 upgrade
Either stop using Windows 7 or disconnect your PC from the internet. You are putting every device on WiFi networks you connect to at risk because you insist on using an outdated operating system.

I play CS to relax but I will always miss Simcity if no real successor comes out…
An Honestly CS is newer and 3D but it not really good looking plus very bland.
Or it's a lot easier to just ignore it so they save money by not doing it
Wealth can be controled with the control building level mod.
Thank you for 60FPS
most important parts of me that make me unable to play simcity 4 today is Traffic is fake om simcity 4, you see a display version of you the actual simulation happens on background, while on skylines every car you see is a acctualy simulated agent what you see is the simulation, (the game allow the car to dissapear if he get stuck over several minutes)
skylines have water physics.... this kinda make me unable to enjoy simcity 4 cause the traffic is fake, and the simulation of the traffic/people is worse, howeever simcity 4 have many cool things like challenges little quests like the casino having to drive a car and so.

Like basically Sim City 4 in 3D playabilities, that the computer video card and RAM can actually handle all that, because graphics are not that perfect.

b) Using old versions of Direct-X or any old APIs that probably won't be using your GPU to its fullest (not sure on this, but don't expect extrapolation performance gains)
c) 32-bit only versions of the games only allows 4GB of ram (eg. Skyrim and the problem it had with extensive mods needing more than 4GB of ram)

Hundreds of square miles*
He said hundreds of square miles in the video.
Salted Llama wrong
@@camrillem always the false news innit lmao
He gave an Example - Tokyo, also Hundreds of Square Miles.
Try to make 1:1 usa
I vote SimCity 4.
@@hellz23456 Meanwhile I'm playing flight simulator at 20 fps
Not like I have much of a choice considering my PC specs
SimCity 4 is hands down better.
Dude! it's his opinion.
