Reaper of Souls; D3 expansion that brought it the success it finally deserved as this brought actual endgame content in Adventure Mode activities- Rifts, Greater Rifts and Bounty tasks. It was chronologically the first mainstream Diablo to be multiplatform too, although there was a version of Diablo 1 on PS1 years before. Diablo: Immortal, the controversial one that marked a noticeable decline in the games. The infamous; "What? Ain't nobody got phones?" remark, the microtransactions and scam tactics including battle passes - have made D:I the single most hated of the series as sadly it has a solid game but drowns in all the scams. Diablo 4; today, the newest release and the cinematic this video opened with. Diablo 4 is struggling despite it having a decent base as many are comparing it to these predecessors and finding flaws. It hasn't helped a nerf patch before Season 1 launched they had to undo, promises of features or content that are being released in Seasons not right now when needed, and already talks of its pending expansion this year. Diablo 4 is the first to have content under Microsoft ownership as they acquired Activision Blizzard King this year and already signs are not good plus they want to charge the same price for this pending expansion as we paid out for the base Diablo 4 game. So which entry are you thinking on playing?
