King recorded Carolina Confessions with producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, John Prine, Jason Isbell) at Nashville's iconic RCA Studio A.

And then theres the excellent song writing and killer voice. Good god man, I hope to catch a show sometime. I havent heard real talent like this in music in a long time..
@Butch - you're so spot on in the old soul in the new body. However I'll argue that this isn't just what talent sounds like, there is something so much more special in that voice and soul that you identified. This is just pure music magic right here!

I love all those songs, but Goodbye Carolina is one that will be remembered 50 years from now. This is top shelf here.
I have listened to this about 5 or 6 times in a row and I can not get past it. Don't want to let it go! WOW! I have heard him doing a lot of other songs in other videos, sets, etc, but never heard this one!!

This is the first I've heard of Marcus, but I was hooked from the first word he sang.
Where have you been man?
I first saw him play with Craig Sorrells band when he was only 13. I was totally blown away. Thankfully I was able to hang out with his band a few times - all of them are excellent musicians!
Dartheomus Marcus was playing gigs when he was in grade school. He formed his own band when he was in high school. He has released 4 albums by age 22. He is an exceptional singer,writer and guitar player. I really like his band but these acoustic performances are my favorite. The really talented artists can perform solo and just singing and playing their instrument.

Brian! Nail on head! Drove from EMPORIA Kansas to Ashville, North Carolina to buy some chandeliers from a Church. Months later, I found a vid. Of him playing .... At the SAME CHURCH where they showcased the same lights with white fabric cascading to the floor. My life its PACKED with coincidences which are anything BUT.
