I totally agree with u. Rory went from the actual definition of perfect to failure. I am team Jess as well...rory had major downfall with Logan and Dean. I think the show was trying to kinda give a sort of lesson that not everybody is perfect, those who look so perfect in everything are not really. I was inspired by her until she met Logan. The show lost real touch of rory gilmore. Only and only Jess kept her on her track by convincing her to go back to Yale. I'm kinda sad to have lost rory :(
Unpopular opinion: I liked lanes story, I liked Dave (ofc) but I also liked Zach. Lane didn’t get the exact life she wanted, but she got a good husband, and two sons. (Which in my opinion is more realistic) and she still plays with the band on the side. Her life wasn’t perfect, but she has so many good things in her life. (And in my head she regrets little to nothing)
Another story line that didn't continue was Sookie's last pregnancy. She was (as far as I know) still pregnant in the finale but in A Year in The Life it wasn't really touched on, or at least we didn't get a name or gender
