Baltic’s killing it! I love what they’re coming out with. Original, fun designs, good solid movements. What’s to complain about (other than a small crown for a hand wound piece)!
Baltic is working really well. Every time they present a new watch, I look at it and think it could be a nice piece to add to my collection. Maybe sooner or later...
Nice modern interpretation of some vintage designs from Omega and Longines. Both have similar models from the 50s. Surely this will be more resistance :)
That’s a great watch. I’d love me some tritium, and Ball makes some awesome watches. And I admit, I’ve got to look a little harder with my smaller vintage watches to tell the time, but the sacrifice in terms of beauty, artisanship and heritage is sometimes worth it (1966 35mm Omega Constellation and 1950 Jaeger Lecoultre Futurematic). Although, I’ve also got a 37mm Nomos Orion, and the readability is on par with my 42mm SMP300 as is my 38mm Sinn 556 IB. So I hear you on functionality. In any case, my wife, who is the best judge of what looks good, doesn’t distinguish between my larger and smaller watches. BTW, I’m 74, and couldn’t see the date window on my SMP300 without my reading glasses if you paid me, so I totally get what you’re saying.
Surprised to see this. Looks like they took some pieces from their experiment Baltic Premier Quatrième Perpétual. Think they might make that watch in a more affordable package?
I'm a bit puzzled. no waouw effect but the case is really amazing. The price point is a bit high in my humble opinion. Was definitely looking forward to this one and I think I'm gonna pass
Those bracelets quickly deform to the shape of the wrist. Yes they look good new but age badly. Baltic do make very good looking watches though. Thanks for the look at this.
Y’know I love the brand I own the MR01 and I love it . I like the Hermetique and I enjoy Baltics brand design. For some reason this watch doesn’t do it for me. I love the movement and the colors idk what I don’t like about this watch it could be the indicies. But it’s a nice watch it’s just not a me watch.
Is there really such a high demand for smaller watches? Why is every microbrands rushing towards 35-36 mm? IMO L2L up to 46-47 is comfortable for most.
Yeah, I think I'm kinda with you on this. I can appreciate smaller watches, and generally, for me, 38mm is small enough, but I guess sometimes you gotta make smaller watches sometimes sometimes, I dunno 🤷🏻♂️
Damn I couldn’t disagree more, 46-47 is way too big for the majority of people… 38-42 is the sweet spot I’d say, with people liking small watches going down to 36 and people liking big watches doing up to 44
Apparently there is. I always thought that faction of the consumer base was smaller than its turned out to be. I'm still a 40-44mm diameter preference guy at heart though
$900 and you have to remove it every time you have to wash your hands !!! 😅 these reviewers talk and talk about dial forget to tell you’re not getting much for almost 1k 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Mediocre finish in this price range from a brand with no history Check out yema urban field same price much better finished manual wind movt and brand history to back up.
@@nathanmagnuson2589 They certainly do. Latest microrotor movement has lots of issues, magnetised on delivery being the main one. More than a few suggests it is a concerning problem.
@nathanmagnuson2589 everyone just follow like a sheep, someone said " they have bad qc and bad customer support" now everyone is just repeating the same thing. Any issue in particular tell me if you've seen with their watches?
Yeah, they probably should have positioned this on the lower price range. I appreciate the design here, but the mediocre finish pretty much sums it up for me.
Woah, what a harsh thing to say 😂 But now that you mentioned it, it does look a little cheap. Can't get that "cheap fashion watch look" outta my head now. I still kinda like it, but oh well.
@@ultramagnus7842 I've seen all Baltic watches. They're vintage inspired lineup is great. But this watch's dial color scheme looks dull. Dial isn’t interesting for it’s price point. Even Old Seiko 5 makes good dials then this. Mesh bracelet is a very lazy starp choice. Many chinese watch company gives Mesh bracelet as a gift. Shoulder have gone with the beads of rice bracelet.
Agreed, ridiculous size for the 'man's', watch. Can't even see the time. All this vintage/retro/reissue watches . 35/36/38mm ....nothing wrong with the watch itself but they are just very small, who on earth would wear it.
I would! I’ve got a 7” wrist, wear a SMP300, have a vintage ‘66 Omega Pie Pan Constellation that’s 35mm, and think this is the perfect size for a sweet looking retro style dress watch.
@@martinkaplan1805 Recently restored 36mm Omega from the 70's and gave it to my wife, she is average size woman. Fit her perfectly. Never understood man geting these 'miniature' watches, but each to their own. Enjoy whatever suits you.

Handwind and no-date 👌
Giving the people what they want
Love the 36-38 mm sizes. Keep them coming!
Thanks for the great review. I appreciated seeing the watch in different lighting. I will definitely be saving for this one (love the purple).
Love Baltic. Personally though, I do like the Art Deco vibes from the dial. The case is cool, Code 11ish from the side.
The mesh bracelet is amazing with the case, the sub dial ruins it for me unfortunately, too busy. Thank you for sharing.
There is a bit too much going on
I bought a mr01, waited 6-8 months, sold it after a week. Wasn't for me, but people love them.
Nice modern interpretation of some vintage designs from Omega and Longines. Both have similar models from the 50s. Surely this will be more resistance :)
I like it! 🎉🎉🎉
I like but I think these 36 mm case watches would look better if the lug width were smaller eg. 18 mm.
Right up my alley

Nice review, what sizes your wrist?
7.25"

How is it manually winding that very small crown?
No issues for me
Something bothers me about the bracelet and case however the profile of the case looks excellent
the bracelet reminds me of baltic's onlywatch's bracelet
What is the material of the mesh bracelet? Can it be inserted in MR01?
Thanks
I don't know if it is compatible

I just ordered from the French site, I hope to be the first to have number 001 of the first 100 numbered copies!
Hope you get number 1
This is quite hit and miss. Lovely dials, but small crown and only 30wr, is not robust enough for a daily wearer that you gada with.

I like the design but 35mm is too small........and I hate pre-orders
Took 3 mins to realize they are not diamond indexes

Case is cool but dial has too much going on
I give up. I’ll let you “real men” win this one about masculinity and size.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. This thing looks awful. Looks like a mall/fashion watch for women.
Mugatu?!?!
36mm? Do they make that in men's sizes?
What the hell is this?!
Seems to me like it hesitates to be a full-fledged dress watch. Still kinda nice, but not for a thousand bucks I think.

Yup. Some guys have this weird obsession with size, equating a smaller watch with femininity. Thanks for your comment.
