More info about the 911 Carrera T from the Porsche website;
The 911 Carrera T is a thoroughbred 911. Made
for drivers, not collectors. Made for the next corner,
not the garage. Made for the journey, not the
destination. What's needed? A six-cylinder twinturbo
and horizontally opposed engine. A 7-speed
manual transmission. A chassis that celebrates
every corner. And a driver like you.
Come on, get in. Not some time, but right now. Go
on a road trip that begins with the turning of the
key and preferably never ends.
Driving for the sake of driving. A concept already
represented by the 911 T back in 1967. Fully
epitomised by the T for Touring in the model logo.
The declared objective at the time: to conquer the
road. With a base engine producing 110 hp, and a
specification stripped down to the essentials. For a
unique driving feel experienced in a 911 - intimate
and unmistakable.

That intro footage is heavenly.
What so special about it? Copied from Evo shoots.

Your film making is head & shoulders above any other automotive youtuber.
Adam Finneran him and MrJWW definitely
Adam Finneran no, it isnt

- Gotta admit that Sam's good. But "Girl on Swiss Roads" does it for me. Plus I'd rather go down on her than Sam. Which I wouldn't... Ever!! :-))...
Very impressed with Sam's cinematography, great stuff always to be fair - definitely a casey neistat fan.
Just a shame that Head & Shoulders are unlikely to sponsor him.
The intro, the backdrops, filming & background music was so awesome! So excited for the Drive the world tour :)
"so, not that much speed" You drive too many modern supercars. It's still a quick car, probably as quick or quicker than your Ferrari.
J. Martinni PDK 911T is a sub 4 sec to 60 aswell
J. Martinni I
Not that quick to need a ceramic brakes it ain't.
Sam you've massively stepped up your production! This is looking slick as. The intro 👌
I try :)
Really nicely shot and cut video. You’re a bloody drone pro now! 😎
Agree!
Let me share my story with you all, I was in a great debt after I lost my job, I had about $30k bank debt, and I could not pay back. So while reading a finance blog, I saw a comment about someone talking about how he got western union MTCN of $7,000 several times from Deepwebservice01 @ gmail com, I emailed them, and placed order for $5000, and I picked it up successfully in my name without any traces. I continued working with them until I moved to the richest neighborhood in my city.
Yes!!! Really professional
I hope you stop being ignorant
when you say "It's November here in the UK"....... it's November everywhere isn't it?
😂😂
David Miles Haha
Haha. Yes. Yes it probably is
David Miles lol
Nope...you’re wrong. In Marbella is January already. We go a bit ahead because we are at the south of Europe. Sorry...🤓😂🤣
Holy crap Sam, that first 35 seconds was absolutely sensational - superb filming and editing.
LemonJelly360 pointless though can look at thousands of nicer edits of cars done by professionals for actual TV channels, that’s what him and jww don’t understand lmao people watch UA-cam for the people behind the camera
WJB Why is it pointless? This is a creative space for content creators to express themselves. It is an evolving platform and audiences are looking for quality, not just a talking heads video filmed on an iPhone. Those have their place too, but it isn’t a universal approach for all content.
video editing looks fantastic... I honestly think that you have reached top gear/grand tour levels of production quality without being tooo scripted ... keep the content coming. :) best automotive vlogs. better than anyone from usa, uk, europe and Aus.
Really appreciate it
@@seenthroughglass Hey sam I have sent DMs on your insta page already about visiting Pakistan and driving on its Karakoram highway in north Pakistan. It is the highest paved road in the world. The content will be fabulous. Porsche has a good support network in Pakistan and you won't have a problem. It is very peaceful too. Don't worry about the media hype.
I used to hate Porsches. Thanks to you Sam, I now love Porsches.
Porches are great.
I used to not really like new porsches but then I drove a GT4 on track and now I kinda need one 😂
Joe Hew it all started with clarkson saying 911 is a beetle. Years went past and I am in love with 911
Joe Hew maybe you are right
@@sergeikozitskii4426 Such an ignorant statement. Clarkson says that as a joke. The 911 is not based off the Beetle and the differences are an extremely long list, even in the earliest of models.
‘Seen Through Lightweight Glass’
I though it was TGE’s car
Sam, as always great video ! thanks for that
HORSES near the end, a BIG thumbs up for slowing down early enough, not accelerating 0.5 sec after you crossed them, and giving the situation your full attention. I wish all drivers did this... spread the word ;) greetings from a long time subscriber from Geneva, Switzerland
Sam Is Really Rocking That Porsche Yellow!!
Honestly, been watching since early 2015 and it's amazing to see how much STG has progressed over the years. Well done I'm proud of yoy
Could not be more excited for next year. The quality of your presentation just keeps getting better and better!
Welcome to Porsche club. I would have gotten the manual. PDK is amazing, but rowing gears makes the experience. Onve you own a 911 you will always want one in your garage. Not the fastest cars, but the driver connection between car and road is spot on.
Great vid Sam, productions getting better and better, am excited for drive the world!
Excellent intro! Gorgeous filmaking! Your B-Rolls never disappoint! Cheers!
The quality of the videos are going through the roof these days, keep up the amazing work!
This spec is 10/10. Great video Sam, as always.
I genuinely think that a Porsche with all yellow details as in brakes, seat belt and stitching make it look soo nice. Imagine a black GTS or GT3 with manual, black wheels and yellow details omg
Spot on with every point you make about the T. Having owned and driven one with the same spec as the yellow one in this video (but with steel brake) for four months now, your review here captures the essence of this sports car. It’s the drive.
I’ve been seriously digging the Staffan Carlen music in your latest videos. I never would have found him if not for you. Thanks mate!
Hi Sam, another brilliant video, great idea to familiarise yourself with the car. Hooray 'T' Shirt arrived - hope you have the time of your life, looking forward to the awesome content :)
Really loving your Porsche contents, Sam. Hope to see you in Malaysia in a few months!
Drive safe.
7:02 Somewhat ironically, most of us who track fairly frequently actually prefer the stock iron brakes over the carbon ceramics. They’re just as good if not better once you experiment with aftermarket track-focused pads, and the replacement cost is much, much cheaper as Sam mentions. Only true advantage of the carbon ceramics may be reduced brake dust and therefore cleaner wheels (and being able to show off your expensive carbon ceramics at cars ‘n’ coffee 😎).
Really interesting. Haha. I think some people get them just for the yellow callipers. Lol
Exactly! I knew I wanted the regular iron rotors (red calipers) on my GT4, so I couldn't spec a yellow car--it would look like ketchup and mustard!
I guess so, to en extent, some people must be like that.
PCCB will retain closer to maximum performance for a good bit longer under extreme use, like on track. (If you want to risk a possible early replacement that is)
The big one though, for a road car is the weight. So much less unsprung weight, so the car feels more nimble and responsive. Damping and handling feel a little more polished on a B-Road. This side of PCCB is way more important to me.
If your concerned about unstrung weight then a nice set of forged wheels will do the same trick and be easily sold on :-)
Great vid as always Sam!
You have taken the filming to another level. This is absolutely amazing.
Shame this channel isn't getting as much views as before because the production value is superb!
That B Roll was gorgeous!!! Awesome stuff Sam 😍
Sam your videos look so god damn incredible lately! Forever enjoying your content and hoping to spot you in Perth, Australia!
Another great video Sam, you keep turning me into more and more of a Porsche fan
First video I’ve watched all the way through in months. Keep it up Sam!
amazing cinematography as always! keep up the amazing work
Sam, You made me want to buy a Carrera T
Do you have the same problem as me though? I can’t afford one 😏
Sam - The postman just delivered my DriveTheWorld tee - Yayyy! 🤪
#drivetheworld #wearingitalready #excited
your videos deserve TV time Sam. one of the best.. lots of old top gear feel
Yes, very slick - the car and the quality film. Haven't watch your YT for a while, but wow, you've moved-on leaps from the early 4C days. Congrats.
Slap a Posche logo on that intro and you've got yourself a kick ass advertisement.
The cinematography is lovely, Sam! Absolutely gorgeous. All the Very Best! Ps: the yellow looks 👍. #makegreengreatagain
I stil find it funny how I suggested a 911T with foldable seats in the verry first '' around the world car test''. Now I can' t wait to see what content will be coming over the next year. Thumb up!
Haha. Should have listened to you way back when. Glad you’re excited
@@seenthroughglass I also remember that in one episode from behind the glass you and Tony really did not understand the 911T ans kind of made fun about it. How do you and Tony look back on that? 😂
Superior quality camerawork and a likable, knowledgable host won me over. Subscribed.
Finally some speed-ramps in your crispy footage!
Just got to smooth them out, which is pretty easy in Premiere! Can't wait to have you DOWN UNDA
Living the music choices recently!
love your edit style as always
This feels like watching the old top gear. Brilliant filming
This has to be the second most beautiful video you’ve done. The first one will always be the Driving up a volcano in a 650S.
The only person who can make British winter look stunning.
The cinematography is amazing Sam!
Best of luck Sam!, I am moving to Australia next year!
Brilliant opening sequence, nicely edited. Great car and really nice (clever) of Porsche UK to loan you a Carrera T. Wish they’d loan me a Cayman. I’ve even waiting an age for mine because of these daft new EU emission rules! 🤨
I think that this was your best intro. Subtle effects, the black lines slowly drawing into the top and bottom bezel. Superiority right here.
What a great intro! nice editing too
Helloooo and welcome to STG tv.. and more specifically welcome back to the Carrera T
Have to echo others and say you’ve really stepped up the production value, great stuff. You didn’t mention the radio delete option though!
A dose of practicality and road sense at its finest.
Excellent video video and this car looks amazing in yellow.
Great camera work. Great music. 10/10
The intro was breathtaking actually Sam!
Love your videos Sam. I hope I can drive some of these awesome cars someday.
Another great video - thanks. Where did you get your jacket (the one in this vid)? Just what l'm looking for!
Love the yellow! Always looks great on a 911 😍 Great Vid
The b roll in this video is next level, Sam!
sam bringing the opposite lock.....love the quality in this!
I love that Intro! Sheer Show of skills.. you deserve more!😍
Where did you do the drone shots? Looked stunning! Loving the autumnal colours. 👍
Sam the PCCBs are a great option. I have them on my 911 and on my Boxster which I just sold and I wanted them on my new Boxster but couldnt find one. However to replace them it’s much more than £6k to Replace the discs. More like £3k each corner. And driving a RHD car in Europe on the other side of the road is simple. Takes 30 minutes to get used to it first time.
I dare you to keep your 911T for 200,000km or more! Treat it like most would a Fiesta or Golf. Would be interesting to see the maintenance and ownership experience over a prolonged period of time.
Well, thats a nice edit. More like this m8
Nice choice for your journey and wishing you the best trip possible. Just didn't quite get the "no tinting" explanation for the light weight glass, since tint film does not require the application of heat beyond what you could expect from tropical sun exposure. Just take the car to a window tint shop and have them darken it up a tad. You should be able to find them almost anywhere on your travels.
you and mr jww are really pushing boundaries in term of contents here in UA-cam for cars and the culture that it brings .
Lovin this content
Another fantastic vid as always. Surprised you didn't mention the Carrera T's taller gearing, do you not think it feels much different from the standard ratios in the Base 911?
Your next video should be about what PSI you put in your tyres. You could then do one on what angle you like to have your headlights at, and possibly one on your ideal cabin temperature.
Total quality start to finish.
Great video, great music, great car!
Love some 911 content!!!!
Great video :3
6 A.M. here, where’s the notification squad? Very excited for this adventure Sam!
matt farah and the owner of BBi were both very positive on this car too ( last podcast on the "smoking tire" ). great choice!
Really like the chance in the aspect ratio. Subtle but really effective. 👌
Very cool video,Sam🤗🇸🇪
Hi Sam, I am surprised that you didn't take the opportunity to fit the classic Fuchs wheels when you changed yours, I think that they look awesome on classic Porsches like your 911T.
That's really cool of Porsche to let you use their demo unit, so you can get use to the car. I really like a manufacturer has taken the time to do that.
Perfect for the Australian leg of the trip, 🇦🇺 I sent you an email Sam. Just wondering if you saw it about the Brisbane arrival?
love your plan and car😍😍
"It's November here in the UK"........really? What an incredible coincidence, it's November here too :p :p
Do you plan to modify your 911 performance wise during or after your trip.
So appreciate haven't got the roof box on this but a practise pack would make sense !!!!
Givin it a hoon at 2:06. Love it Sam!
View number 8!! Great video Sam👍
What do you expect the miles your going to do to do in the car how it will affect the resale valve/ money loss?
Tint can be applied to the lightweight glass. There is a thread about it on rennlist.
That's what I was going to say, tint film can be applied to plexiglass or any other surface
That's a stunning intro if ever I've seen one
Nice video and love the car! Just one observation: from the technical point of view, the plastic rear glass helps reducing the weight, and to lower the gravity center of the car, which is a great plus for driveability and handling. This said, the full roof box will basically overcome any advantage coming from the plastic glass, beside of sound. So what do you think about that? And it will be interesting to have a feedback from you about the change of handling of the car once you will start the Drive the World adventure. Anyway, keep it going! :D
This is such a great package. Predictable base engine with standard limited slip diff and optional RAS(can’t spec that on the base Carrera), the T is a fun HPDE/ weekend track car.
Sam - you mentioned the lite weight glass, but as well as no privacy glass does that also rule out heated rear screen?
why did you not film with TGE’s Carrera T, would be a funny collab
How much does it cost to ship a car to Australia?
