- Soft Honey Butter Rolls Recipe
3/4 cups of warm water
4 packets of yeast
1 cup of sugar
4 eggs
6-8 cups of flour
400 grams of butter
Honey or maple syrup
3 cups of warm milk
In a small bowl, add yeast and a little sugar with warm water, then put aside.
In a mixing bowl, melt 150 grams of butter & add sugar, milk and eggs. Once yeast has risen, add to the milk mixture then stir.
Add the flour to the bowl, mixing 2 cups at a time until dough is formed (and not sticky). Add more flour if needed.
Knead flour for 5mins, then put in an oil greased bowl. Leave and cover until double in size.
Roll out dough, then cut into strips and roll little pieces to form a ball. Put into pan and leave to rise for another 20-30mins.
Bake in oven at 180 degrees Celsius until lightly brown.
Glaze
In a small bowl melt remaining butter with 4 tablespoons of honey. Once rolls are out of the oven, glaze with honey and butter mixture. Be as generous as you want with it.
