Made these tonight for the first time and they turned out so delicious😍. Thank you for sharing your beautiful recipe with us! Super simple and delicious!
Thank you so so so much for this demo and especially for including your recipe. I’ve never made these at home but they look so good. Thank you once again for including your recipe
Hello Ane. In short, thank you for an amazing recipe and thorough tutorial. I can’t believe I pulled off such a delicious fluffy easy bun. As a side note I only used 4t of yeast because that’s what our sachets yield and it was just fine. I got a big tray of 20 buns. Now for the extra details ☺️ I’m not a bread/dough baker at all, in fact dough intimidates me more than any other type of baking. That said, we’ve been living overseas for 16 years now so I have tried a couple of different coconut bun recipes. They’ve only been ok but nothing Ive been excited to keep making. So as I was watching this tutorial I did take note of your comment that typically coconut buns tend to be a firmer (?) bread and that ideally for you, you prefer to use your honey butter rolls. I decided I’d go with this classic recipe tonight since that is what my husband is used to (this was supposed to be his treat) and plan to make them using the honey butter roll dough next, to compare which we prefer. But after tasting these, I’m amazed at how delightfully light and fluffy they came out. I’ve never had such success with making dough so congratulations to you!! I’m telling you, it’s not easy teaching this old dog new tricks 😅 Thank you again Ane for sharing. Your recipe is a hit and because you articulate so well I was finally able to pull of some coconut buns I am proud of! I can’t wait to try the other rolls. PS sorry for the essay!!
Awe I'm so glad it worked out for you. It is down to preference at the end of the day and trust me I've made so many using different recipes lol. It's always a joy for me to see how baking can make people happy and bring families together. We'll done to you xx

Aww thank you Tiana for sharing your story. I truly believe your never too old to learn how to bake. My mum was an amazing baker and cook but I never had the patience to watch her. Now that she's passed I wished I had. Good for you for trying the recipes. Practice makes perfect. Let me know how it goes. Take care 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe and how to make panipopo. Followed it through and surprised my kids with panipopo after school. Man! My kids especially my youngest who has ASD loved it. He asked if I can make some more. Much gratitude to you for sharing your talent!🙏
It taste like the ones at Otara Markets 😊 My papa said it taste like a Cook Island bun. Thank you for sharing! I did my dough mix using my machine, it didn't come out soft, maybe I over knead it, apart from that it was perfect
I got up early and decided to look for a different way of making these because I'm always looking for new recipes and have tries so many doughs but I'm still not a fan of mine. I'm gonna try yours and tell you how it comes out but I plan on using my bread machine to do all the mixing and kneading for me. Thank you for the recipe!

Is there a difference using cream or milk in measurements?
For the Panis I've always used milk have not known of any recipe to use cream. You can try it and let me know how it goes
Where’s the recipe? Please and thank you!
