Our Gen 1, X-1N is still going strong after 1.5yrs of crazy fun. Cape York done, multiple short weekends loved, heading off to lightning ridge Sunday. We absolutely love the raw and rugged looks of our graphite PC, all we did is throw on our bush company rtt and we are totally happy with the setup. Hitching up and buggering off in a jiffy is the absolute best! Thanks for making a Truly amazing product guys, love the st5 - but I’m still 35yrs young and maybe one day, ONE day I’ll want to be clean when I’m camping but for the moment, mud, dust and beers suits us all fine 😎
Killing it guys!! They’re not overpriced at all, where you can take these trailers and they never ever let you down on the tracks. We had ours for 7 years done every 4wd track around the country still did not have one single issue with it. Unstoppable still is in the brands moto!🤙
PC owners for 7 years now. Just sold our first and picking up our second one soon. I've always looked at our trailer as a high end camping item. A want and not a need. Similar to a sports car or a luxury car. It's about the experience that you get which is specific to each individual. There are many videos made by PC showing how well these trailers are made so at minimum I can attest that these trailers are very well made which is a big reason of why I personally don't have an issue with the pricing. Another reason is the success of the business. I want PC to be around for a very long time so I can always have contact with them should an issue arise with our trailer. Not to mention I am an advocate for the profitability of a business. It is good for any economy. If PC was putting out a poor product it would not sell at any price.
You get a lot for 50K though, all quality, and if you had to hotel it doing the block would probably cost you more than if you did it in the camper with no restrictions to where you go/camp and then resell it at the end, but you would probably want to pass it on to your grandkids as part of their inheritance. It would become an heirloom in a few years.
Not cheap, but post-COVID every van and camper went through the roof price-wise. Making things in Australia wouldn’t be cheap, but you have the local support, brand reputation and reliability to think of. If you’re going out in the wild you don’t want anything breaking. Will a cheaper alternative give you that, that is the real question.
3:35 actually this is very good argument. I remember years ago I was stacked in front of McD because of bike rack was not coming through. Only McDrive was opened - not indoor restaurant so I was out of "food" :D
All the tight arses complaining about the price. Build one of these at home you won't have much change from 25-30k once road legal. And it won't look half as good as this. Stick to your kings gear and keep breaking down on the side of the track. Keep up the great work PC, keeping jobs in Aus and making great products.
I for one, do place value on buying locally made and I'll often pay extra to do so. But I do it, knowing that a good amount of what I pay will stay in the local economy, keeping other Aussies employed. The camper may seem expensive but looks like it's made with premium materials and components, so it should hold its value quite well. Probably couldn't say the same for cheaper imports.
My new June 2024 Gen 2 - X2 was advertised and pitched as 850kg tare.... It was delivered at 1003kg tare not 850kg. Nothing extra added. I love my X2 but tare isn't 850kg.
Hi Kevin, you ordered it with the following options; rear drawer slide out, BBQ swing away, Maxtrax and awning infill panels, all options obviously add to the 850kg tare weight 👍
@@PatriotGames ok thanks. But I'd argue that the rear drawer, maxtrax (x2) Weber swing away and two small canvas infill panels don't weigh 153kg combined. You advertise the X2/N at 850kg tare and it doesn't have the roof top tent the X2 does. I'd suggest you're using 850kg for both X2/N and X2 when the truth is the X2/N is 850kg and the X2 is heavier due to roof top tent. I have no problem with that if it was revealed upfront by the sales reps. I love my X2 but maybe just update your marketing messages to the true tare might avoid post purchase angst at delivery time. What it's created in me at least as an owner is a feeling of mistrust at delivery time. This is in addition to your sales rep at Patriot HQ telling me in Dec 2023 when I ordered if I place the order now (Dec 2023) I'll beat the USA production of X2 campers and get delivery in March 2024. This was a lie and deceptive conduct in my opinion. Because in 2024 my X2 was produced in June 2024 and I was made delivery promises by the Patriot Customer Service rep that kept changing and included paying the 100% payment on 22nd April with a promise of delivery on 8th May only to have delivery dates keep changing until 21 June. After this experience I won't buy from Patriot in the future as much as I love my X2. Im not very happy about the whole experience to be honest. The X2 can't physically be same tare as X2/N which doesn't have the roof top tent, let's be honest about that. Just be upfront with people, they get it. 😁🙏🇦🇺
Firstly I’d like to say, big fan of the channel and have been since the early days. Unfortunately they are just too expensive for what they are. They are great quality workmanship, however the expense of manufacturing in Australia just puts them out of reach for the everyday family.
Thanks mate! Unfortunately we can’t control material prices, cost of labour or inflation, and we’re not going down the china manufacturing path either 🇦🇺
I rate this so hard 👌 Don’t get me wrong - I’m all for innovation and having the newest and best tech, but for the last few years I’ve felt like PC have been leaning towards the “keeping up Joneses” side of things instead of focusing on their roots and what owning a patriot camper is all about. It’s great to now be able to offer the best of both worlds and to have an option for all budgets, excellent business decision. Great work Justin and the PC fam 🙏
We’d love to, reality is we could build anything quality we’d be proud of for that price in Australia, and we’re damn sure we’re not taking our manufacturing overseas 👍
@@PatriotGameswhere’s that Aussie can do attitude? an we don’t want you to take your manufacturing international, but I guess that’s a challenge for you guys if your willing to accept it or not, build a no thrills brilliant camper in the 20k-30k price range and truly become a great household name
Far out guys, yes they are expensive. I couldn’t afford one right now or maybe ever, but I also can’t afford a brand new 79 or 300. You want the best gear it costs a premium. You want something cheaper buy an imported product or make your own! It’s fucking nuts to think that you should jump in a comments section to complain about something that’s obviously not suitable for you. Big ups to the PC crew for the clear effort and resources that go into making a product like this
Hey Justin, I agree that 50k is pretty up there in price. Could there be a way to maybe not include some features. An example. Same camper however no REDARC, no batteries (wires run) no 270 awning. Like a diy version.
Justin, why don't you sell the X2N in RSA, I so like it I would give my left arm for that ? I currently have a Conqueror Conquest, but is long in the tooth, and would just love the X2N. Kind regards Robert
Love the channel, love seeing such a fantastic aussie family succeeding and the adventures you go on, love the brand, love the product but it is outrageously overpriced. My family are a little younger (not much) and will be in the market for a new camper/offroad van or hybrid in the next 6-12 months. We will buy Australian made (non negotiable), our budget will be sub $100K. Unfortunately Patriot won't make the list, there's no way I'd spend $60K for a 4x4 trailer with a tent on top even if it is the most durable trailer on the planet (which it probably is). If you want to appeal to the budget sector I'd suggest you create a 2nd brand and build a true budget camper.
Cheers mate, that’s the price of manufacturing in Australia, there is a lot of good Aussie made brands and our style is for sure not for everyone, as long as your keeping the $ here I’d support whatever you choose 🇦🇺
I couldn't disagree more. The patriot campers trailer X2 series are very fairly priced, considering that it is made in Australia. If you know about economics, you understand the costs included for a company. Most produce elsewhere... the manufacturing process is outstanding. It is not only about solidity, but design, ergonomics, unique layout, and compactness, production solutions. Heck, the Research and Development department surpassed a million investment for you to tow this trailer. There is not a trailer on earth with that amount of research, technology, manufacturing process, exquisite design, and usability such as the X series. It is a magic box. Folks need to stop complaining about the price of premium products and services. If you don't understand its value or don't value it, inform yourself and ask questions. If not, it is just rambling, rambling, rants... It is a disservice to innovators. Get a 10k trailer, build one, dunno. They are the Porsche of off-road trailers. Their level of creating products for the end user is unheard of. Sorry, I had to say it. Rent one, experience it...
I have sent you guys multiple emails about this but have not got a response as of yet. Will you ever be coming to South Africa? There is a huge market for Patriot Campers over here and I personally would love to tow something like this on my trips around Africa.
Nice. But $50k for a rooftop tent experience??? Come on. Let’s get real Also Most Toyota RAV4s can’t tow it. My 2.5ltr Crusier AWD is max braked tow capacity is 800kg And all the 2wd rav4 have 480kgs. Also CUB Campers have less expensive and are all Aus made in Sydney with Aus materials. @PatriotGames you know, I can admit when I'm wrong, sometimes. I first watched your video, and it left me thinking that the people who can afford this are probably not the people getting the absolute best out of it. I'd never be able to afford one, for instance, and yet I camp out for weeks at a time for archaeological and palaeontology excavations as a volunteer team leader, and where someone who has done all of this already and now earning good money in their respected field, and could now afford something like this, are too old to enjoy. Stupidly, I ended up by the end quite deflated. It really is a beast of a camper trailer set up. Peace
It's not too expensive for what it is, it's beautiful but its too expensive for most people, the maximum budget for a touring set up besides the ute for the layman is around 5-15k. Still worth having for sale because there's alot of rich people in Australia there's just alot more poorer ones lol
I know you do trailers but when are you going to make that type of system to fit on trays the people don't want to buy a trailer it's a big market if you can get into it I don't there's not many people that do it in Australia

I have no financial barriers to any Patriot camper. The problem is, the pricing pushes this brand into a market I don’t want to be associated with, just as I don’t flash around Rolex or other luxury items. The product and team come across as entirely down-to-earth, but the excessive pricing place this as a luxery statement piece. This may be the “Apple” of campers, but keep in mind people only tolerate (and resent) the pricing while competition isn’t close.
