I liked it and love the part where you pull the tent out and you have the looking ratchets on the inside. If you are Generation X you would pick it up immediately as they used to be on the banana chairs that we used to take to the beach or around the swimming pool delete the 70s and 80s.
The X1 Gen 1 is still a great, great camper which changed our camping experience beyond our wildest dreams. But this is an excellent rundown on the X1 Gen2. As soon as you design the rear main compartment to be able to drop down easily, so that short arses like me can reach in there without climbing into the compartment - I'll upgrade for sure. Great video as always and thank you Justin for being so passionate about your products.
Thanks Justin for a clear & concise rundown on both Gen2 models. We're madly in love with our X1, it's treated like a baby & still looks brand new despite all the trips we've done. I wouldn't consider anything other than a Patriot and the investment with value for money. However as we get older I can see that the X1 Gen2 is going to be our next camper of choice.
Hi love the GEN2 I have X1H I would like to replace the PCOR awning with the GEN 2 as you said it’s not the best ! And that’s being polite from my own experience!!!!!!! But we still love our X1H !!!
Hi, Peet from SA...I still have one of the old Camptech Bosvelder trailers that has quite a couple of similarities of your X3. The kitchen does not have an awning but a tent that is part of the main tent...The Camptech as you might know has an extra room underneath the void of the main bed which is perfect for kids....Also for the entire length of the side (rear), it has an extra tent that zips onto the main tent...quite a convenient setup but not as modernized as your X3..will send you some photos if you like..
the big thing for me is the kid's room. I always seem to be setting up in wind or rain (my bad) ........can I get the room attached without either soaking myself or soaking the inside.....and yeah, I know "bad weather" will happen.....it's just trying to stay dry......cheers guys, love the brand, just trying to work out where my investment goes......😁
Im 6ft 4 - am i going to fit underneath the awning or inside the trailor comfortably without hunching over? Looks practical, simple and easy to use, Thanks folks.
Fantastic presentation Justin, absolutely the best campers on the market. Any reason why you skipped the kitchen/cooking facilities? This surprised me as cooking is a big part of camping.
Frustrating that the X3 now doesnt have the kid bunk option the gen1 X3s had. Feels like im forced into the X1 when the family seems to prefer the layout and function of the X3 Better.
Maybe take a closer look at how you may organize space for kids' bunk. Get in touch with PC about your preferred layout. Opposite for me. I discovered the X3 first, and while it is superb, the X1 is absolutely 💯 perfect for my needs and utilization, and I love it. 🎉
Now since your officially in the US is it easier to source parts always had issues in the past if I had something break on my x1 felt like it would take minimum a month to get something
Hey Justin, I have one the few Desert Ops X1N's in the USA. I am curious if there are some retrofit pieces I could update my 2019 with. Such as the door struts, awning, and maybe a cargo glide like in the X2. Is also possible to update the sink area with the fold up table? Great walk through video. Thank you for any feedback.
Right on. Same here, mate. It took me time to explore fully the X1 as an alternative to the X3. It is in my opinion the best camper. There is also a live in area in the lower part, much more space and functionality. The living in the X3 comes with drawbacks for me.
I put a link in here for you to have a look at as a lot of caravan and camping places talk about black mould how to get rid of it but the problem is once you get it you've always have it does it matter how much bleach and rubbish you use. Not to mention once your mattress has been compromised by the black mould which can cause illnesses sicknesses and all sorts in some case death. This foil solution not only gives you support with your mattress for a better night sleep but it also allows under your mattress to breathe as well as support but you have two other components to go with the major component which you will see in the video so you can customise underneath your mattress to give you support where you need it for a goodnight sleep. I hope this helps you guys very much and thank you for everything you have done. And yes I used to do a lot of four-wheel driving myself and getting competition tough dog tracks where I used to go scouting with my daughter. And many more DOZA @ BIKERS SERPORTING COUNTRY TOWNS PITTSWORTH QLD . ua-cam.com/video/o3tZFSB_n3U/v-deo.htmlsi=ofys4wnUHnC4skG0
One question, with the old x1 you could put up the awning without the tent. With the new hard top creating the height for the awning when it’s opened so you have to have the tent lid up some so the awning will be high enough to open or can you still deploy the awning with the lid closed and have it high enough ti stand under?
both of them are great i'm planning on buying one in the future probably the x1 one question that i have is can i connect a secondary kids/multiroom on the left or right side entrance of the trailer tent in case i want to host more people? if not i think that would be a great addition for the future generation of trailers
Can somebody tell me how are these trailers on the highway doing 70-85mph. I have pulled double axle trailers at these speeds and it was awesome and smooth. But single, they want to sway and rock with wind. How are these at highway speeds. Plan on traveling across the country. Yes off road good but it’s highways between adventures. Thx
Couple dumb questions. Stabilizers aluminum or steel? And then has anyone asked about AC? I know it’s tent based but outer banks gets super hot, and the wind/ sand absolutely destroys things from plastic to steel. Thanks
The stabilizers are steel. Installing air conditioning in a tent style trailer isn't very practical or efficient as the canvas doesn't insulate that well.
@@patriotcampers I appreciate the response. Reason I asked about the stabilizers cause we have a camper at the beach and no lie there disintegrated. Where we live I haven’t seen stuff wear faster and Plastic will turn to dust as well. Not sure if it’s because we face south and get more wind with the sand or what. I can understand ac in a tent isn’t practical just wondered if anyone has asked. From camping and staying in a tent in 85+ degree heat, sucks. So sounds like a tent overland adventure your looking for that weather that’s comfortable for the both of you and keep on the move. I’m guessing customers just add fans or something. I have more questions but feel like I’ve already wrote a short story. Thank you again👍

You can keep the kids room attached all the time and even pack the trailer up with it attached.
Pcor pcor pcor would love to see this tech put into the pcor , such a shame it’s not offered anymore ,
Waiting for a huge comeback fingers crossed 🤞

Much obliged Sir for the walk-around & insight, I'm really between this or the Bruder EXP-4. I like how short the X3 is from hitch to Axle.
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
did you guys retire the X2

Ive always been thinking that an x3 would be good for me and now im really thinking an x1 is probably better idea

Do you still produce 4x4 ute trays , canopies for cab chassis
Wow That X3 G2 is calling me. Whats the quickest way to ownership in the US?

These are excellent - but after watching a couple of videos, i'm still seriously confused by the naming conventions!
