"I mean they've drawn a track in a car park. And that's fine, cause they've dressed it up with...weird shit." 🤣
Buxton is right. Ppl trash a parking lot circuit. Then they laugh when they make it look better
I mean Silverstone was made on an air base, the closest thing to a car park at the time. You gotta start somewhere when you create a new track.

We are one step closer to a F1 Word, Chain Bear, Tommo and Jonty stream… would be biblical
What do you mean by "biblical"?
they're going to nail me to a cross
@@chainbear We need to see a Chain Bear, F1 Word, Tommo, and Jonty stream fr
@@chainbear Bruh…
@LNS_CTDi yes PLEASE!
And there we finally have the collaboration we've all been waiting for between the two best independent F1 UA-camrs. 👍👍
Who are they? They're not in the vid right?
@@sesu5604 why do you watch these videos if all you constantly do is hate and like your own comments?
I don't see Josh Revell anywhere
@@rohankanna1819 I don't get you people, someone praising two people doesn't mean they're talking bad on the one not mentioned. Josh isn't in this video.
"see what Latifi would do in a ferrari" crash it propably I say. ( I actually like the lad but he do be crashin' a bit often right now)
Top stuff. Been a big fan in the last couple years but I really think the last year especially, your contents been top tier. Thanks for being on the feed. Also great video, fan of Tommo too ha
The american knockout tournament suggestion for F1 gave me shivers down my spine
With F1's history... imagine a special sprint race, with all the cars in a retro livery. :D
the two ends of the good F1 content creator spectrum, in one video. bless you stuart
Instead of a draft, have a test day involving forty drivers made up of those whose F1 contract ran out at the end of the previous season (no new contract or silly season) and the fastest from every other first and second tier formula. I see two advantages: 1) incoming drivers make it through talent rather than cash, and 2) some will find out when to retire.
Who's gonna pay for all the crashed cars?
1:14 Chain Bear is not a subscriber and wasn't too interested on Tommo's take on Imola. :P
I think Sergio's smoother driving style will make a difference this weekend, so:
Pole - Sergio
Win - Sergio
2nd - Max
3rd - Carlos
As good as the prediction is I can imagine red bull would let Sergio finish one position ahead of Max
Can't see Carlos beating Leclerc
I believe the draft idea has some merit. Not a total redraw like Tommo said but one more like you would see here. Last team can pick any undrafted driver.
The thing is in a draft system, draft picks are tradeable. So if, say Haas has drivers signed for the next season they still have they could trade their pick to a team for money, or draft a prospect and sell his rights to someone else.
A draft is as much a system for a sport to obtain new talent as it is a broadcast event. Having one combined FIA draft would be a great way to create hype for F1 as it is to drive interest to the feeder series and Formula E. Even if decisions are made well in advance having one time where all the new drivers are announced would just be a fun time.
American here, and I really like Tommo's take on having 3 US races given the large population geographic area the country covers. That notwithstanding, I would rather there only be 2 or even 1 races in my country if it means classic venues like Spa or Monaco don't drop off the calendar.
So India should have 4? And China at least 6?
Getting Tommo in, are we?
This makes me curious as to who you will get next? Josh Revell?
(Man, what a hoot he would be!)
If anyone was wondering, Miami is 1400 miles (2250km) from Austin. It's a 24hr drive without stops. For reference it's about the same distance from Madrid, Spain to Berlin, Germany
I do love the blue run off areas of the track
Fan of both of you and Tommo, I enjoy your different takes/content on F1. Definitely enjoying this series.
As someone who lives on the West Coast I appreciate d Tommo’s recognition about the brutal times we on the West Coast have to wake up to watch GPs, Quali, and Practice Sessions Live. Often am waking up at 4-6 in the mornings to watch. I do love this effect for the Australian GP as it is so early for us it actually starts on Saturday Night for us. (So we also had qualifying on a Friday for the Australian GP long before F1 officially decided to do them on sprint weekends haha)
I bet it is also difficult for East Asian/Australian F1 fans, especially for North/South American GPs.
Would LOVE to see F1 cars take on an oval. Really been converted to them since getting into Indycar recently. Fuel saving would be extremely difficult though 😅
I don't wanna crush your dreams but it's not gonna happen. F1 teams can't change gear ratio's for a race, so they'll be at the rev limiter constantly. Actually they won't as the engine would blow up. Fuel would also be an issue, as you said. Also tires and setup would be nothing like Indycar. Setups must be symmetrical (at least i think so?) and outside tyres would overheat probably. And the Pirelli's probably won't last. Sorry 😕
@@JoJoDo yeah i know, you also forget the turbo hybrid system would have no chance to harvest energy under braking too, but one can dream :)
@@jeeveso i suggest watching the indycar ovals :)
@@JoJoDo I do :D
@@jeeveso i usually miss them due to time zones...
To put the scale of the USA in perspective, Miami and Austin are over 100 miles further apart than Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and the Hungaroring. Las Vegas to COTA is only about 40 miles closer than COTA to Miami...
I think you took the overall rank after Italy as the previous score instead of the race score
NASCAR has done throwback liveries which is something I would like to see in F1.
Texas is basically its own country. It's an 11 hour drive to cross the one state.
F1 should go to Baltimore, Maryland to see if they can do what indy couldn't. My wife suggested the racetrack from wreck it Ralph.
Best event for an F1 race:
- Each F1 team needs to partner with an F2 team
- On F1+F2 weekends, F1 drivers would run a sprint race on F2 cars from partner teams.
It's a shame the water is fake; there's a navigable canal right next to the track.
Finally! The two best F1 creators in the same video!
What a fantastic collab between 2 of my favorite f1 youtubers, hope to see more of you guys together in the future
Colorado those 7am races man...
I would love to see Víctor Abad as a guest.
if there wasnt so much corporate IP 22:30 they'd hop in a another teams car and showcase exactly that, but they're all little warring City-States of constructors.
The fake harbor thing felt cringy to me at first, but then I got to thinking, what would have been there instead? A big Heineken sign? Some bleachers? Heh, I'm okay with the fake harbor marina thing.
more seating for fans is always better
Chain, please take the barcode off your pint glass, lol. Good stuff!
Loved it.. love watching u talk.. always hearing your voice in explanations
Haha it only takes 30:50 With Tommo before the British transformation begins
22:59 Max was in a low midfield car in 2015 and a good midfield car from 2016-2019 coz at no point up until
2021, that RB was even remotely close to challenging for the title
2016-19 red bull got wins in pretty every season, I think every one. It was in the top 3 every year.
YAY, Tommo!
“Unpeg Hamilton” is legit made me cackle
18:00 - Le Mans (not the Bugatti circuit). Safe enough for LMP, would be fine. Bathurst would be epic but impossible even in the old cars (okay JB did a lap in the McLaren, but you couldn't pass)
Never mind not being able to pass, I'm pretty sure that The Dipper would break off every car's front wing on the first lap. That corner falls away way too steeply near the apex.
@@rjfaber1991 Except Button in the McLaren proved it was possible. But yes, it's bananas. Love that place.
20hr nonstop drive Miami to Austin.
Bonus question should be - What turn will Latifi crash on during the race?
Mentions west coast time zone in North America. 😗 thank you
Miami vs Vegas for becoming the US Monaco, Vegas wins that the whole way with so much being so close to the Vegas circuit and not much right on Miami’s corcuit
If the Miami GP was actually in Miami and at a real harbor, it would win “US Monaco” title hands down. Yeah, Vegas has the casinos, but it’s a random city in a desert
It's the f1 Jon Ronson
Bring F1 to Road America this time of year. Perfect temps
Loving the job Albon is doing this year fastest lap in Miami let's goooooooo 😂😂😂
RIP this series
It's not drawn up in a car park. This is a purpose built track with asphalt laid down.
Oval hype!!!!!!!
Get them on proper Indy!
where was this week’s prediction?
Missed two weeks in a row
@@elijahmeinhard4780 He ought to bring them back
If they can run Indy cars on an oval, surely F1 could
F1 Half time show, anyone??
I can't blame F1. America has mega sponsor deals. America has a stable currency/economy. America has a greater population than Canada, UK, Ireland & Australia combined.
By that logic half the races should be taking place in India and China. A "world" championship needs to feature the world, not 5-6 countries with cash to burn
How about a spec F1 car for the sprints?

As good an analogy, good thing new born babies dont get binned and replaced after about 8 years :D
I wish you score aplenty. It's been dry for years for Ferrari fans. 🙁
That's funny... I was just interrupted with a UA-cam commercial from 8 sleep. They were saying, "if anyone knows about speed.. its the Mercedes team. Hamilton, Russel... They know what it takes..."
No. Absolutely no oval circuits. Maybe a half Nascar track with the other half through twists and turns in the middle of the Nascar track connecting the ends of the half oval (like the Pheonix, AZ track in Motorsport Manager), but just a pure oval would be absolutely boring.
So something like the Indy or Daytona Road Courses?
The FE tracks are, without exception, terrible.
All of your friends are Max Verstappen and Red Bull fans; and i think that is just beautiful. Simply lovely 😭👌
Looking at the map of the Miami circuit... Turns 6, 7 and 8 are really just one long turn. Turn 9 barely qualify as a turn. Turn 10 is not a curve at all, it's just an arced straight. So, NOT a 19 turns circuit, but a 16 turns one.
That «circuit» shown at 15:45... A race there would be how many laps ? 4 or 5 ?
Have some races where everyone is racing with the same car. Make it the WORST car from the previous season. Like the 2021 Haas or 2020 William.
If you're going to count turns like this, every F1 track would lose 3-5 turns.
I think u said unpack Hamilton.
Love your end of season review , and your technical videos , but this feature stuff isn’t working
For you *

EDIT: This comment got long VERY quickly 😂🤷♂️
F1 fans will never let F1 race worldwide. Let's just be real. We're seeing why. We can't expect to have many more than 23 races. That's demanding a lot from the sport and everyone involved. So we would have to get rid of some of those "historic" tracks. Not just Monaco either. And we all know f1 fans would lose their mind if Monza, Imola, Spa, or Silverstone were cut. I'd say 16-18 of the races this year, fans would protest having them dropped. 5-7 slots remain. South Africa.6 slots remain. Vietnam. 5 slots remain. China. 4 slots remain. So we've covered where F1 has been before. Let's take those final 4 slots and spread them across the entiiiiiiiire planet. Africa is massive, and having the race at the very bottom tip of the continent guarantees most Africans won't get to go. Let's put one in....say....northeast africa but not too close to Spain or Italy. Let's do Mali. Let's build a circuit there. Uh oh....they hired Tilke. Fans are pissed before a shovel even touches the ground. Okay next do something on the east coast of South america. Let's do Lima, Peru or Santiago, Chile. Right, they might have hired a new designer by now. 2 slots left. Next let's do one in Russia because most Russians are wonderful people who are sickened by their leaders actions and maybe we can grow up a bit. But uh oh, everyone hates the track in Russia. So scratch that, let's build another one....but they commissioned Tilke again! Fans hate it before the shovel used to dig the first hole is even built. Well we have one slot left. Guess what? Formula one is owned by Americans and is trying to get more American fans. It's Las Vegas for the final slot. Great. Now let's start the season. F1 fans enjoy the historic tracks, the staples (I left out Monaco since the cars are only gonna keep getting bigger and won't be able to fit). Let's get to a new track. The Aramco Formula One Grand Prix of West Africa. Some of the cars were slipping off the track.....Sunday night Twitter erupts in a storm of hatred for the Mali GP. Calling to never race there again. There's one down. The new Russian Grand prix......we have an issue with tires exploding. F1 lights the torches on Twitter and calls for it to be dropped going forward. There's another one. Las Vegas hits....it's gonna be a very huge race. But the cars can't pass much....f1 Twitter erupts in rage calling it the new Monaco but without the charm. Canceled. Santiago GP??? A driver has a serious accident and breaks his legs.....Canceled. maybe if F1 fans wouldn't reject new and latch onto old we can race worldwide. F1 fans are actually more like nascar fans than you think. "Bring back the V10s" sounds awfully familiar to "bring back the 5 lug wheels." "The Halo RUINS the car" sounds like "the tall wing RUINS the car." "Stop adding weight" sounds like "stop lowering horsepower." Both f1 and nascar Twitter the past year have been just a bunch of old fans talking about how the essence of their series is being washed away with all this new scary stuff.
Tired of. How big the season is
Not Tommo 😂. Chainbear, you sound like a civilised man from bromley, but tommos pronunciation of bottas kills me
Remember last time F1 raced in a car park? Remember last time F1 drove around a stadium? Why don't they race at a purpose build track? Bring back Indianapolis, watkins glen or race at laguna seca instead of a car park around the hard rock stadium
Laguna Seca most definitely would NOT be suitable for F1.
For a start, it's incredibly narrow and hard to overtake on. But more importantly… the Corkscrew.
Are we even sure the current F1 cars can go down that chicane without breaking something or becoming so unstable that they become undriveable?
i feel like these are way too long...
Its America and I am sure Danny ric will perform.
Boring af had to unsub
They built a chicane at 14-15 to slow the cars b4 a rise-peak-drop in the track just 4m below a highway overpass. The cars have to slow to make sure no-one can be launched skyward at that point. Hmm … seems legit 🫣
