Love these tiny changes, shows the attention to detail. One complaint I have about the argon skin is that the slider seems thinner than the hitcircle, but oh well.
Personally i think argon (or skins in general) should have a toggle in the settings for 300's showing after getting hit, sorta like toggling combo bursts, it makes argon really unreadable for more advanced players who are dealing with like 12 circles on screen at a time at the very least since the screen is just filled with 300's that look like circles, ofc it wont matter to new players since they have like 5 circles max or something on screen at one time but i think this toggle is a massive step to making argon readable.
Why not think a step further - the skin editor should have an asset section where you can easily add and remove stuff and should be by default be populated with all the items from all the skins you have installed and 1 empty object, so that you can quickly build a skin with your favourite things from all the skins.
This is so cool! I really hope that catch just uses simple circles because every Lazer version is so hard to read to be honest. My biggest issue though, is that I really hope there's an option to enable combo and combo lighting above the catcher like stable has. It really helps me stay centered, like the combo being in the center does for mania players. Regardless, this is awesome. I'm really excited to see all the fun things Lazer will provide when it's finally merged with stable. I feel like it's really gonna revitalize the players.
A suggestion. Remove longest combo UI when your current combo is the longest one. Make it appear only after you break and your current combo is no longer the longest one

1:39 HONESTLY??? That should be a feature added into the game. I know it was NOT intended in the slightest but it could be one of those unintended features. Could be an option when selecting/highlighting hits to adjust the color to be dual-color (that you can customize). Of course, also having an option for the user to turn off that feature would help too (for accessibility/performance). Overall though, this might be a good way for beatmap creators to spice things up and make things EXTRA colorful!
Lazer is quite an impressive bit, I really like the design choices. There is one thing that will always be missing to the game to me, it's sound ultra low latency support, I wish I could use hit sounds but because of the delay I always have to disable them (and other sound effects, even menu ones, because there is only one slider). My brain can't tolerate more than 15ms between my keypress and the sound it produces (most players seem to just adapt to it, I'm one of those who can't ) Every modern keysounded rhythm games using ASIO now feel just fantastic, namely DJMAX / EZ2ON, I truly wish osu! could implement it even if it's proprietary, sound interfaces that are compatible are more popular than ever.
I'm still waiting for the editor to be on par with stable. For that day when hitsounds are just gonna work, and we're gonna be able to make storyboards in it too. :D
Idk if the HPs of maps are intentionally the way they are to be very very low and allowing me to pass hard maps even though I chain missed lot of notes. On current stable version I would have failed the same maps after missing only 2-3 notes. This somehow has taken away from me a sense of achievement when I clear something hard which is supposed to have high HP. Again not sure if this has been talked about before so sorry if I'm asking something that's already been answered before but I actually don't know. My personal suggestion would obviously be to have the HP as well similar to what it is in stable.

(basically setting a backup skin, for if there are any missing elements of your current skin) Or possibly setting skins for each mode, like say I have a "classic" (game based) Taiko no tatsujin skin I want to use for Taiko, A skin, for Standard, and using Argon for Mania, then being able to have it pre-set so You don't have to change it before swapping modes?

I think lazer also needs the ability to play minecraft inside it, its not really complete till i can get bored of osu then switch to minecraft WITHOUT having to press at least like 8 buttons, smh get it together peppy and start including the REAL important features.

i like the standard argon skin, but the circles been bigger than the sliders, and i assume hitboxes is kinda ugly and cant be good for gameplay aswell, which i thought was the whole idea of the skin.

yeahh, yesterday I tried lazer and it just feels wrong. there's something missing, but i can't pinpoint exactly what.
because it runs like shit, even at high fps your cursor feels like its running at 10ms
