Outstanding tutorial! Subscribed.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the sub.
Thanks for the video! And thanks to fiat for making a complicated car to maintain!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video, Dano! Have to admit, I started getting a knot in my stomach with that engine mount bracket. Oy.
it is a bit harry 😅
So I toke my cranshaft off to be able to replace my valve and to put the correct timing I just gotta match the timing with the dots with the special too ?
Yes, there's really only one way to put the alignment tools on, and then it'll be timed correctly.
Would the tube seals be the same for a 2013 abarth? Great video by the way! Appreciate all the details!!
Yes they are the same for all the North American Abarths.
Great video! My 500 Turbo is close to 100K miles and could probably use all of these serviced. Question: for the sparkplug seals, instead of using oil to lubricate before installation, how about a thin coating of silicone gasket sealant? Might help keep it sealed longer. Anyway, love my Fiat and will check out those T-shirts.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! You probably don't want to put sealant on them as that would glue them in place and make it difficult removing them the next time. The really don't need anything on them, but I like to lube them to ease assembly.
Do you recommend any other maintenance replacements while doing this job? Such as the multi air filter or anything else? Id like to do this and get anything other maintenance out of the way as well
yes, if you haven't done the multiair filter yet, doing it when you have everything apart for the timing belt is a great idea. If your motor mounts look worn, it would be a good time to do those as well.
I love your channel I learn a lot sir, any way I like your t shirt can I have that😊
Thanks! You can get the shirts here: bookautowerks.myspreadshop.com/all
hi, may I know what is the code for your engine? As i have the 2010 abarth from UK, wondering if it uses the same tool. Thank you
That's a different engine; I'm not sure.
should all of those timing belt parts work on a 2015 abarth? I've seen on some websites they have parts for abarths from previous years so I wasn't sure if there were any slight differences
On the North American Abarth, yes they are the same. Not sure about the various European versions.
yikes so tight in there!
I hate FWD
Where u located
Austin, Texas
Thank you so much for your video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Metelli brand??. Good?
Not sure about Metelli. I use SKF or Magneti Marelli.
Can u tell me ur Motorcode?
Seems like a fun car, but Italian garbage engineering like usual.
