You say you are not a pro, but I disagree! Everything you make is so professional looking. You have made so many cutting boards I bet you could do it with your eyes shut!! Love everything!!
You are the best! Trying to find here your recipes on how to make all your different paints, textured paints, and stains, along with your other painting recipes. I very much enjoy your videos.
I really love this video, I’m going to purchase a jig saw, hand sander, and look for some wood! Thank you so much for all of these awesome tips and ideas!♥️♥️
I love when you make wood DIYs ! They are my favorite. Not to many people really do a lot of them . I love using my power tools . My husband use to tell me , I was the only woman he knows who has more tools than their husband. I have to say I love my scroll saw . I k ow they have the lasers now , but it’s something about making it your self that makes and sells it for me . Thank you for all your post ! Love all your stuff❤️. From NC
So glad to see you again I've been out of touch my mom passed away in March and my sister passed away on the 4th of July, so I didn't stop watching you I just haven't had any time, glad you're still at it , keep making videos so you can save us from ourselves someone need to rewind our minds lol🍂🌻
Oh no I am so sorry sending love and I hope you can find some time to sit down and watch my videos and enjoy them and give you a bit of a break. Take care.❤️
Deirdre, I was so excited to see this video, I have a lovely chopping board I bought a while ago , it actually wasn't cheap but also wasn't too expensive ,but it has splinters of wood so I didn't like to use it for food (which is what sold for ) . I was thinking of doing something like what you have on this video. Now you have given me so much inspiration, I can't wait to try it out. Thanks so much for sharing your amazing talents,I definitely got inspiration, by the way I also loved the coffee house one, I love the rustic look you create. Absolutely amazing ideas. Thank you. ❤
Love them all. When you do the crackle look. Do you let the glue dry first before you put the paint on? May Jesus continue to bless you and your family
I enjoyed that so much. I thought I follow you. And it's such a inspiration to because I did craft jbefore. I had to come and you, I'm going to stay home. God bless you and your coming words are beautiful.😊
Such great ideas! I was trying to make up my mind as to which was my favorite, which was really hard! Lol! I decided the long one with the legs for a table decor was my favorite! You are so creative!! Love the video!
Love all the creativity you had for the bread boards great job, this Ontarian LOVES every single one of them for sure!!!! It would be so hard to decide which ones you will sell...Great job!!!
I’m so in amazement of you! You have given me the courage to try some transfer tape items for Christmas gifts. I’m so excited to try some of these projects! Thank you so much for all of your knowledge!❤️
I love your videos and the projects you make! I’m only a couple of minutes in, but if I may offer some advice - never wear gloves while using a saw, drill, router, etc - basically if it has a blade or cutting bit and something goes wrong, having gloves on can cause your hand to be pulled into the blade or bit. Jigsaws are relatively safe…but things do happen and those blades are very capable of causing significant injury if one were unable to move a gloved hand that got snagged. You are spot on with suggesting safety glasses though! 🙂
Maple is food safe. Use food grade mineral oil or butcher block oil from Lowe's or Home Depot. Don't distress with a hammer or food and bacteria will collect in the indentations. You want a SMOOTH surface. Or you could distress one side for decor and one side smooth for food. Clean the board with lemon juice and salt, rinse quickly and dry.
@@OurUpcycledLife I'm disabled and I didn't think I would be out of work this long and recently I started losing feeling in my hands so I have started taking up upcycling just to keep dexterity until we can see if there's a surgery that will fix something. I don't cook and so I live off of smoothies and frozen meals. My city stopped recycling and really don't know anybody where I moved and I was so blessed that I called our local waste management and told them that I was interested in up cycling and the manager there dropped me off two giant cans full of various sized cans and a big box of wine bottles in lots colors. Next is paint. I'm so blessed and feel like I made a great friend. I might be good at it and make some money or a might be terrible and just keep my hands flexible, but it's fun either way.
Wow! These cutting boards are fantastic! I’ve done a few like you did with old wood I had around but mine don’t look as good as yours as I haven’t figured out how to do the graphics on my computer ( especially when it’s not working to good) I definitely want to learn how you do this. I think it’s so cool n just as good as having a Cricket machine. Would love to make one like the last one you did. There definitely gonna sell. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟 PS. I was wondering why you had your jacket on. Now I know you live in Canada n it can get chilly there 😊.
Love all these projects. Is your laser printer a color printer or just black and white? I noticed some of your graphics have color so I was wondering if you use a laser printer for those as well?
I was wondering...the red board with Antiques sign. You said that water would reactivate the glue so I was wondering if you could seal it with polycrylic and then put the graphic on and not have any issues with the glue.
Great show! The hair spray technique didn’t work for me😣 should I use hairspray with alcohol? Do you let the paint dry before you do the hairspray? You give me SO MANY great ideas ❤ thank you
The hairspray technique can be a little bit tricky. I put the hairspray on top of dry paint, and then I put acrylic paint on top of the hairspray. It will not work with latex paint.
Definitely inspired! I have a gift shop at a local haunted attraction. This is my 4th year in the little shop. I need to make fun Fall and Halloween themed items to sell. We have lots of teenagers come in, but also people looking for cool souvenirs. I’d love to make the cheese boards but have no idea what to sell them for. Any thoughts?
Love your videos. I noticed when you traced the board it looked like you make it the width of the board and not the same width as your template. Is it even on both sides of the handle ?
In our area (small valley in Caoe Town), moat people want items that have a dual/multiple purpose. So I'd have to make cutting boards that are both food safe and decorative. People are ao demanding 😅
Does rubbing the paper off not hurt your fingers? I tried one and my fingers didn’t like it😅. Your projects are beautiful 😍. What I like is you show us how to do the signs without having to have expensive transfers and fancy crafting products.
my wife says: You are so creative and a really good instructor. However, I wonder why business establishment signs belong in a home that does not really sell eggs, coffee, etc. Does it seem a little fake to pretend this? Just asking...
