Shout out to Miho! I agree. She's fantastic. As is everyone. I miss Miho, but at the same time, Fami is awesome. You'll enjoy seeing more of her on bass as well. This is an epic song. A true masterpiece, really. That middle section is so beautiful, but so is how the song escalates afterwards. Great reaction!
Who will miss Miho (who left the band) when there is BEAUTIFUL YOUNG PERFECT bassist FAMI. FAMI is much better with playing with TWIN sisters, Why to glorify musician who left the band by her own will.
@@VeljkoNikolic-is5px Kind of an unbelievable comment. Miho was a founding member, and will always be missed by any Lovebites fan who was there early on, but as I said, Fami is welcome and equally amazing, just in different ways. It does not have to be one or the other and both can be loved and appreciated.
Because “Electric Pentagram” came out in winter, Asami wanted a sad winter ballad. Asami wanted classic guitar on the track, so Miyako recorded the acoustic guitar on the track. Live, Midori has to play it, because Miyako is busy on the piano. 🤘
Thumbs up for recognizing what Miho brought to this song, and to LOVEBITES' music in general. Her bass lines are very well outlined and resounding in this one, but they are always running in the background, not just mimicking the drums, but, as you noted, "jumping" over to the guitars, or plowing their own way and steering the song. In other cases, it would be very subtle and tasteful little runs/ mini solos that go just "under the surface", often with the solo section, to add the grain of toughness, or sometimes sadness. Like in "Holy War" towards the end of the final solo - once I noticed that beautiful little chord sequence Miho produces, as if improvised, it raised the song for me even more. I must say, in the newer versions, even Fami does not outline that fleeting moment so much, as she is wont to normally. Maybe it is all matter of interpretation, but Miho brought the goods as it came to bass playing. She is indelible in the band's history, as the leader, prominent songwriter, and the consummate pro, playing even through the toughest of times.
I am not a musician, but I try to pay attention, so I get very happy when I get to pick up the bass lines clearly, and they were very distinct in this recording.
On the albums Miyako plays all the acoustic guitars and they usually use backingtrack to the intro to Addicted. Midori does great on the live recordings for sure.
Another great Reaction Juan. Miyako's guitar here is an Infinite guitar, specially designed for 'infinite' sustain. Also, the line that Midori is playing on the acoustic is actually written and played by Miyako on the CD . . but even Miyako can't play the guitar and piano at the same time . . Hi Dreg. I understand, I would always prefer to react and link back to the band's official channel, but there was no video in this case. So I went with the one with more views. I did notice later that there was a higher quality one but I didn't know why had less views or came up later in the search results. I don't think it would be fair for me to change the link now because I actually used the video I linked.
@@JuansJukeboxTV It is ironic that "most views" is a way to choose. It is self-perpetuating. Even though the quality is lower (not finding fault with anyone or anything here) the use of it & putting link in description 'feeds' the "most views" scenario. (could add both links in description with info on differing qualities?) By the "most views" method, including when a reactor is deciding "what song", disregards newer songs/uploads. With LOVEBITES, from their earliest years their label/channel did not upload any LIVE videos so all were from fans uploading excerpts from DVD/Blu-ray. Not until 2020 did they upload "Official" LIVE, 2 from "Five of a Kind" then 2 from "Heavy Metal Never Dies" while they still took-down many/most fan uploads and even gave 'strikes' at times. This has resulted is distorting "most views" because many 'unofficial uploads' are re-uploads after the previous was 'taken-down'. Some fans even lost their channel from multiple 'strikes' but created another & uploaded again. We have these fans to THANK for persevering to allow us to become aware of all these fantastic songs. LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics & credits:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
Veiling fears The emptiness inside
Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
One life ends
And one life begins
Evanesce
To our origins
When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more

LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics (Spanish):
Lágrimas de cristal cayendo de los cielos
Velando miedos El vacío interior
El tiempo pasa
Matándome bajo el suave crepúsculo
Una melodía congelada
De palomas y cuervos bailando melancólicamente
Un recuerdo lejano
Si tan solo esta nieve pudiera borrar el dolor
Me despertaba en una serenata
Una vida termina
Y comienza una vida
Evanescer
A nuestros orígenes
