Every time I see you explain your methods, I love it as I’ve never seen anything else so effective as your method. You are truly gifted and this is your calling.
@@myk9crew Always a complainer in every group. Why are you even on this channel? Just to give negative information. You don’t know my story or path….end of subject.
@@debbiebartolo Give negative information? You mean, criticism? I don't need to know your story. But honestly, he's horrible, it's boggling that you, anyone would think that he's talented. The only explanation is you don't really know what real dog trainers do.
Pronge collars are wonderful if used properly. There are so many people that do not use them properly and that is what is wrong. So happy Dog Daddy is informing people on the correct way to use the collars.
I'll give credit to the women being smart enough to use the Socrates principle and admitting they don't know what they were doing and getting a person to teach them.
My dog barks at people in public but that’s his breed. He’s an anxious breed. I’ve trained him from a puppy. Covid got in the way and stuff but I still trained him. He still barks so you don’t know if they tried to train him like I did but it just didn’t really work.
Well done Augusto #DogDaddy to the rescue and to all the haters on this man away you go and focus on your own life instead of him the amount of crap he’s had to deal with through jealousy and hate campaigns against him having to move house few times it’s so sad we need more men like this saving dogs he’s even giving up his spare free time to the dog shelters that dogs are that aggressive no one will take them and bye god this man saved a dog that was caged as the staff were scared to feed him without opening the gate and he fixed that dog and many more from a euthanasia
Ironic how this commenter mirrors Trump worshippers. The belief that they are the best, and it's just haters that have criticism. Every video of his is simply fighting a dog with the leash, in jerky, nervous motions. It's not training, it's just wearing the dogs down. He has numerous lawsuits, has been evicted numerous times, scams people, and yet, here we are.
Those dogs are so pretty! 😍😍😍 That explanation was spot on, I appreciate it so much, everytime you explain something on UA-cam I feel like my own dog/human trainer skills level up.
Thank you for explaining the collars. I was one that didn't like them I felt like it was a torture device. But not now. Just a lil pressure and it's understandable for any big or really strong and hard headed dogs that need correction this would be a good tool. Thank you again
Really good information on prong collar here, also really good demonstration of prong collar in video where DD knocks randomly on a door in England because he hears barking. Look it up, it’s a great video full of helpful information.
Lol I thought the video thumbnail was photoshopped haha, the girls look unreal but they're just really tall . Good job with the doggies. I grew up with GD and my dad was a bit of a dog whisperer too, so they were really well trained
Thank you for this video. It really helped me. We have a 9 month old Newfoundland puppy, sweet and giant, but out of control on the leash. She is jumping and pulling non stop, and she is so strong and hyper that I can not stop her. It is embarrassing. No other dogs or people want to play with her. People told me she will calm down when she is around 2years old, dunno if I we can continue like that for that long. Anyway, thanks so much for your videos and your advices.
Without a doubt, the educational value of this video is hard to put a price on, it’s clear and easy to understand & apply to anyone’s dog at home with the same issue, but for me personally the shaky camera in the beginning was making me both dizzy and having flashbacks of when the groundbreaking cinematography Blair Witch Project came out. But once that was over, one of the things I really noticed was how you got the Dane to lie down you don’t just use words but the hand movements too. I will try that with my canines because so far saying the words alone are not doing the job for me. Thanks for the great video 👍
I learned you hold them very close to you and they learn to walk right beside you.......but that's a LOT of time doing this and having the same routine.......dogs are smart and learn what they're taught
Haha that’s a Brazillian sound. I worked with. Brazilians when I lived in Switzerland. One guy kept making that sound to get my attention. Lol we would get in fights because I found it so disrespectful. Still love my Brazillian friends though. :)
Very well demonstrated. I would have liked the owner to pay more attention to you. She was like her dog looking away and around while you were showing her. I wanted to prong collar her. Lol
People need to understand that modern prong collars have ROUNDED TIPS not the squared-off sharp ends back in the days of old. Also, you only need 3 fingers for a correction, surely NOT the full arm strength. A lot of people's ignorance stems from other people's ignorance. I wear a prong collar when explaining the function to an owner, and even when I tug extremely hard, it barely feels like anything but pressure around the neck, and certainly does NOT cut my skin, no matter what.
I'd love more information you can give...I really struggle with leash control with my Dog, who is 2 today..! He goes crazy when he sees another Dog..🥺🤷♀️
Hey Dogdaddy i have 2 Questions 1. When are you gonna be available for the training you offered to your arizona residents 2. What are the best dog shoes for the hot weather here in arizona I know you live here now and so do I and I just need your advice please whenever you have time thanks.
Not pertinent to the video, but I love your outfits. I've spent more time around training horses but the getting their attention concept is universal for all animals. If they're not paying attention they wont learn anything.
So I have a question. I recently got a German Shepherd that matches more of the rare “King” Shepherd breed. (GSD and Shiloh Shepherd mixed) and I have no issue with him….on me. He’s starting to view my 4 year old daughter as competition for my attention. How can I correct this? He barks and charges, he’s nipped at her only once but I feel he’s close to attacking. I’ve been stern, told him no, he listened but I can tell he’s distanced from my family verses his bond with me. How can I change this or correct it?
Tips please on how to train a dog to come on command our dog is very obedient and teachable EXCEPT when she gets outside me and my husband will call her name she will stop look at me or him and run full sprint in opposite direction the neighbors have threatened to call animal control and DO NOT WANT HER IN THERE YARD. It doesn’t happen often she stays inside most of the time but if she ever goes outside off leash she runs off ! We’ve even gotten a shock collar she would still run off and just yelp and run and keep running
Please make a video to show us the different types of prong collar. I have a terrier type dog and I have no idea which collar to get, nor how to use it. We have tried lots of different leads, collars, halters etc. and nothing works. He still pulls on walks. Inside the house he will walk next to me if I have treats but outside there are too many distractions. He has started shouting at bigger dogs because he feels intimidated and of course they react to that. He is just over a year old, like these two dogs today. Thank you.
Look for the DD video where he knocks randomly on a door in England because he hears barking for more information on the prong collar, even a demonstration comparing a dog wearing a prong collar and the other dog not wearing a prong.
If your dogs don't follow your commands they have no business being in a public dog park. Period. Edit: This is not the fault of any dog. All of these problems are human problems. Maybe instead of using the term "training your dog" we should start using the term "training humans to teach their dogs".
Hi Dog Daddy. I have a question. Here is some background on our dog. My son’s dog is a shepherd-collie mix. When we went to pick him up at a farm we were surprised to find him in a filthy condition and frightened. We soon discovered that he had no social interaction with people and even as a puppy was quite timid at first but later he showed aggressive towards all members of the family. He was three months old at the time. At four months we signed up for dog training and had difficulty training him. Now at almost four years old he is fine at home but is unpredictable on the street or parks where he will suddenly lunge at a dog or a person showing his teeth and growling. It’s like his only partially domesticated. What can we do other than muzzle him? We love our Shadow but his behaviour is a problem. Thanks
