HITMAN 2 Soundtrack - Mumbai (Custom Mix)

- Original soundtrack by Niels Bye Nielsen.
This is a mix of the music that plays in Mumbai (Chasing a Ghost). It may be not faithful to the original and include unused parts.

24:25 - Combat + Hunted

There were a ton of files, so it was somewhat challenging to mix them all into a decent track compared to other locations. And Colombia is going to be even worse in that regard. Some parts felt unfamiliar thus I put them in the "Marketplace" and "Streets of the Slums" sections, there might need to be additional labels/timestamps in there.
By the way Mumbai's music is the most location fitting and diverse soundtrack in the entire game I'd say. - Ігри

Salem hey, I usually don’t do this, but it would be awesome if you had the time to listen to a few of my songs on my channel. They’re inspired by Hitman and other espionage type films/video games. If you aren’t able to though, I totally understand.
By the way, thank you so much for uploading these custom mixes of Hitman. It’s amazing how well edited they are and I could never wait for the next upload 👍🏻
I heard the combat + hunted one in Miami , I don't know if it's a glitch or if it's being used for multiple maps and im just being stupid...
(I found this out while fighting flamingos by the way)
@@youuglyasl4842 All maps use the same combat song but add a new layer depending on the location.

Oh okay sorry I was just confused thanks
nice
the female voice when you enter the trainyard always works great
Total eargasm!
What form of music is that called? I searched Indian chanting but got native Indian chanting instead
try carnatic music
@@kokichiouma-god-daddy7392 Indian chanting will give religious stuff. Try classical indian music.

Mumbai is seriously underrated. Great mobility, fun targets, cool disguises, and flexible story missions.
I don’t like it overall. Way to big a map very hard map to SASO. Lots of waiting around to kill the Mailstrum. Also those street enforcers are bloody annoying. Can’t even walk through the normal streets in any disguise without them being suspicious of you.
@@Marto2168It's one of my least favorite maps too. The skyscraper and the train yard are great imo, but the slum streets suck. It's always a hazzle taking down targets on the busy streets while playing Freelancer, almost all the sneaky corridors are restricted area's. That's why I tend to avoid Mumbai.
@@Marto2168skill issue
@@Marto2168 it's actually the easiest SASO mission in the entire Hitman trilogy if you know the necessary tricks.
You could call for a meeting for both Vanya and Dawood, and then shoot a sign above them to kill them in an accident kill.
As for the maelstrom, you could just poison his cup and then raise a certain flag that will make him drink his cup.
@@Marto2168 Jist let the Kashmerian do the work for you! (When the Kashmerian kills your targets, it doesn't remove the SA penalty) And for the Maelstrom you can either drop a sign or put a car battery in a water puddle and wait for the Maelstrom to get to the puddle and shoot the battery.
First time you enter train yard = pure magic
47th time you enter train yard = pure magic
i came her for 14:21 was not disappointed ❤️

28:40 just isn't complete without the sounds of the city and listening to the ethereal yet dangerous Maelstrom's recorded manifestos as you walk through it...
I love that distorted singing at 18:30. I wish more of the vocalizations had been in this level.
14:22 is all you need.
This game, Hitman 2 has brought back a lot of features of Hitman games before Absolution was released. Be it the environment, ambience, background score, Hitman 2 brings back the things that the true Hitman fans have been missing.
Not to mention the briefcase

@@part9952 You're Welcome :) i agree, a magical melody
Hi - her chords come from a class of music called "Hindustani Classical" and "Carnatic Classical" - these are like the (CDEFG) of India. I've learnt classical Indian music for sometime so I recognized her chord. You can look for similar music - she is using a SA RE GA MA - which is C D E G but she is using D# or what we call half RE. You can look for these runs.
Sorry for the long para 😀

best beats on this level and perfectly suits the mumbai city's atmosphere, specially the wazir kale's theme.
nielsen needs more recognition, his work is top notch amazing
This sounds so much like Hitman Contracts, holy crap!
Man, the game's OST is great and very atmospheric. Niel did a great job.
the first soundtrack is the best for a hitman game, reminds me the dark theme of Hitman Contracts! Awesome

So fucking action packed for when you’re running from a fuck ton of bodyguards.
I took a shot. And damn. The first few moment of the string playing make me super alert. Remind me of going into a shoot out with the guards while in dawood apartment
Entering the trainyard gives me chills everytime. The score for this level is so atmospheric.
the mysterious vibe and classical Indian music mix is really cool
Awesome! Enjoyed every bit. Ofc 14:21 is my favorite, too :D
Also 17:00 onward is amazing!
Thank you, Salem ! Mumbai is my bae, so...
This reminds me so much if uncharted! One of the nostalgic reasons why I love hitman
Hitman, Uncharted, and Tomb Raider have a lot in common! Love all of them!
If you guys like this type of music, I would recommend Dunes by Subheim
Mumbai is such a fun level. So big and diverse, and many fun opportunities.
The map surprisingly make me feel like home. I dont love anywhere in india nor im ethnically indoan, but i do live in a somewhat packed city life and seeing this map made me feel like at home
11:59 best esp ragan tower
One of best Hitman themes to my experience nearly on par with Jesper Kyd's masterpiece Hitman soundtracks.
24:45 the intro to combat+hunted with the pauses in between gives me goosebumps
Vanya’s theme fits a lot.
Some parts show the outside, that she is the queen of the Mumbai slums and that she is treated with respect.
However, the intense parts show her true dark side. She wasn’t always the queen of the Mumbai slums, he was a killing machine in the Maelstrom’s crew. She is one of the last surviving members, and that she wasn’t always respected.
Man if I'm not wrong the music for when the kashmirian and the maelstrom meet is not here. Thats such a shame.
E: Just checked in-game, it's actually just a completely stripped variant of the music that is playing during the crows nest. Only one instrument, very mysterious.
Please make an individual track for Janus’ theme. I wanna put it in my soundtrack playlist :)
loving your work man! any chance u would be able to make seperate tracks of the ones of this list? :)

Sorry salem, i think its a little bit late to ask for a hitman 2016 song. If not, would you do the main menu song? Thanks!
It's not late, I still have things from H2016 to upload, but it won't be before a long time. Though the main menu song is fairly easy to find on YT already.
Anyone know the part when you get to the beach house?
10:10 best

Yes, these soundtracks give the games atmospheres
28:30 KreyGasm
19:19
I love 14:21. Does anyone know what the girl says when you enter the train Yard? I think it's in Hindi.
All these soundtracks are great that you posted from all the different Hitman Levels, but you should have cut out the "Combat and Hunted" clips that just repeat exactly the same on all the levels. Like from 25:00 to 28:00. It's just repetative. The point of listening to these is listening to the distinctive soundtracks to each level. Having the "FRANTIC Combat" soundtrack inserted in all these, as well as ending soundtrack (Extraction) just pulls the listener out of listening to the good stuff. I catch myself fastforwarding whenever the calm soundtrack suddenly jumps to making me feel like I'm going to be shot by security at any moment. :(
this gives me black mesa/half life 2 vibes

Complete 15 escelations? That's ridiculous. I like the suit but I don't like it THAT much...
I miss jesper kyd.
I Wouldn't say That the music is bad but It's very poor when Compared to earlier scores by Jesper Kyd.
This sounds very common and uninspiring.
I mean you are entitled to your opinion, but why do you seek out this ost then, and write it here in the comments of *this* video? I mean... You probably heard it first when you played through Mumbai, so why then seek it out if you don’t like it?
Personally I prefer the music of Bye Nielsen than that of Jesper Kyd. Nielsen's music fits perfectly into the open atmosphere of the different maps and gives us a unique theme for each target. For the main theme of the game, the music of Jesper Kyd easily wins the day, but for the music during the game, the music of Nielsen is stronger and more creative.
@@offaris2905 I couldn't agree more
They both did a great job but i personally prefer Neil's soundtracks than Jesper's.
@@fnkid1267 seriously?
To me it sounds like an average action thriller score. The theme is alright and there are a couple other good tracks but put it up agaimst Silent Assassin and Blood Money and it just cannot compete.
