@@joeywild2011 Yeas big levels to have fun with but they also tried to do shortcut work of doing the same old 'British guy and American guy' accents for NPCs from any country like they did in Hitman 2016'
The best level in the game, by a longshot. You know it is original Hitman when things get dark and grim. I think Hitman 3 needs to have even darker levels.
I really like the brighter tone and dry wit of the new games. Darkness has its place, but if it was all grim and miserable all the time it would be grating. I think the newer games hit a perfect mix of tones across their levels.
It's really hard to pick which level has my favorite music in the game--Nielsen did a spectacular job through and through--but maybe it's the Isle of Sgàil that takes the cake. The smooth intro from the Introduction theme to the At The Gates theme eases you into the level's gloomy atmosphere without you even noticing it. The recapitulation of the Mission Accomplished theme--which I like to refer to as the ICA leitmotif--along with the castle looming in the distance gives you a strong feeling of finality. This is what the entire game has built up to. You're at the last mile now. It's almost as if the familiar ICA leitmotif, juxtapositioned with the apprehensive Isle of Sgàil strings, is encouraging you to give it your all in the home stretch. The music of the castle--both the upper and lower levels--sounds dark, sinister, and wicked. The society itself could probably described as such; the moody castle themes are fitting for the Ark Society, which literally runs the world from the shadows. They turn the tides as they wish, even though they are just a drop in the ocean. I like to think that the chanting is an interpretation of the Ark Society's pride; they're all confident that they're the best the world has to offer since they essentially hold all of its power. As such, it may not be a stretch to say they might think of themselves as gods. Gregorian chanting is used in church music, and the word "sanctus" appears very frequently in the chanting; "sanctus" means "holy." But that's just what I think. The Confronting the Constant theme captures the tension of leading the Constant to the exit very well. The instruments--or lack thereof, save for the heartbeat and the trembling strings in the background--makes my shoulders tense up when I hear it in game. You've got the Constant--the key to dismantling Providence--as your hostage. You're leading him past crowds of unknowing people; he could easily run for help, compromising the entire plan to rid him of all his power, except he can't. One of the world's most powerful men is at your mercy, and you can't afford to fail now. And the reward for your hard work? The glorious Exfiltration theme. When I hear Sgàil's variation of the Mission Accomplished theme, I imagine Ark members in the dungeon cells, chanting and banging on the cell bars. That combined with the violins makes it feel kind of angelic; it's like a heavenly choir has descended to sing your praises. TL;DR, the Isle of Sgàil has some real bangers. Its soundtrack being used in the 7DS Lust level is the only reason it's my favorite lol
My personal fav would be this one or whittleton creek, I can't really decide I agree, reminds me of Kyd and blood money, some people wanted Kyd and no one else to do the soundtrack, but I'd say Nielsen's work is pretty sufficient
@@Ryan-wg3ej At least the Hitman 2 composer stayed true to Jesper Kyd's work and tried to give the gamers the same ambient environment that Hitman games before Absolution had.
I wish Isle of Sgail was more creepy, something like a phantom of the opera scenario, it would’ve been so awesome, maybe complete some challenges with a ghost outfit... they missed out
Serious Bloodborne vibes in that choir, loving it. Just as I was talking Bloodborne with my friend, who is playing for the first time. I told him about the music that he will hear at the Church. Then this plays for me in Hitman 2.
Upper Castle is my favourite track in the game for just running around as 47 mischievously plotting my next move. It's tense like a masterful game of chess. Particularly 22:30 onwards. Also 24:39
I love this theme In particular because is has similarities to Jesper Kyd's score he did previous for the series. its almost like a tribute to the man. lets be honest a large part that made the Hitman games what they were was due to the magnificent music! hats off to Niels Bye Nielsen, good job!

Kyd had a penchant for choir and epic music, he's mastered it. This track is good, and I love the choir in it, but it's like them trying to do the style that the previous composer has already mastered for the series (Tracks like "Apocalypse" and the Silent Assassin main theme, etc); just makes me think what could have been.
Honestly, with this mission, if the target's dead bodies are found and it was clear that it was an assassination then it'd be a reminder to all of them that they aren't untouchable, even on this far off island.

This music really makes it feel like you're in a boss battle against the isle, itself. The level design is amazing here.
That's what i tell my friends who haven't played this game yet , the lore , level design , and soundtrack will take you where "no" game has yet .
