In Ontario high schools, if you're suspended from one activity, you're suspended automatically from every other activity for the remainder of the school year. Not negotiable. This pretty much stopped all of the fighting during high school hockey season.

My sister got fired from her teaching job because she had the audacity to fail a rich farmers kid who never turned in any work and mouthed off all the time. I have seen this type of attitude by High School players in my area and it is ALL because of the Coaching Staff. The Coach at our Local High School had even gone as far as to tell the Players they did not have to LISTEN to any thing their Parents told them to do anymore, as he was there new Parent and in charge of their lives. This so-called coach even Bailed a Player out of JAIL when he was arrested for Breaking and Entering at a Home and Violence against a SENIOR with out informing the Players PARENTS that their son had even been arrested with the Player being one of his so-called STARS. This same Coach backed a group of students and players that attacked the bus of a visiting team because they did not like a CALL during a Game that was questionable. The Coach was FIRED and he still ended up at the other end of the state COACHING at another HIGH SCHOOL.
