I think this game was good, but overall isn’t as cool as it could have been. I wanted to fight with Thor’s hammer, and also the ending battles weren’t as fulfilling. The coolest fight was with Heimdel and that wasn’t as spectacular as it could have been either.
I think helmdalls fight was awesome, because you were forced to use a strange new weapon. Also while reminiscing of how easily Kratos just Mutilates Gods.

I understand why people are defensive on how this game should be reviewed fairly. It took (for most) 4 years to wait. I had a immediate instinct that the game wouldn't be to my liking, and not worth the money. But i felt as though the time i spent waiting I should dedicate my time to playing.

I played nearly 100% of the game, still not a 10/10. Very good game but there is some wacky writing in there and some dead ends like the mask and the rift which are hopefully going to be explored in a future game but this wasn't supposed to be another set up game but the conclusion to the saga which in many ways just wasn't satisfying and left some questions unanswered
Yeah, i finished the game very disappointed. I feel as though the ending to ANY story should be the best part of the story. It gives the reader/viewer fulfillment, in the time they spent progressing the story.

played both gow and elden ring now and i have to say only elden ring deserves goty. gow is what a triple a title should be. but adds very few meat on its bones in comparison to its predesessor. COmbat is still awsome and brutal but lacking in movesets weapons and options. the rpg elements are still almost non existent. and the game has zero replayablility. Elden ring has all those things with the same level of polish, Custom written lore and worldbuilding, and 1000 times the amount of content and replayability. i love both but only 1 deserves goty

I'm gunna be honest I like the gameplay in the new god of wars but it's the story that I find lacking
i kinda agree with u a little bit.. The first story was more personal because its about his mom ashes , this one is more grand scale and epic. I think both of them are good story wise but not an amazing story. This one has more spectacle and epic things happening though so thats a plus too.
