How yall don't know that "Roman", is the R&B singer "Tyrese" Gibson. 😆... A Very good singer from the late 90's to the early 2000's. He's a decent actor also.
Fun fact: The girl with the pink car is Devon Aoki, her brother is famous DJ Steve Aoki. And their father Hiroaki Aoki is the founder of the Benihana restaurants.
She also didnt know how to drive when she got the movie and they had to teach her how to while teaching her how to drift and race because the racing scenes are real👏🏻👏🏻
Fun fact about the purple car: The car initially had yellow seats and as soon as Tyrese (Roman) took a look at it he said something like "I ain't driving no Lakers car" and they had to change the seats last minute
@@christopheralmaguer3310 he says ccuh this entire movie. Thats a ccrip word. For ccrips. Nobody else says that around ccrips u less they are one or they end up getting hit up and stomped out....
Fun Fact: There is a short/prelude that follows Brian O'Connor's progress from when he leaves L.A. in the first film and works his way up to being top racer in Maimi.
I live in South Florida. I remember when they were filming this and they had a lot of the major roads shut down at times for several weeks while they were filming this moving. So a lot of the scenes on the highway and race scenes are from the roads and highways around Miami.
@@liquidsnake321 *Yeah, but $35k for a street race isn't realistic (I know it's a movie). I see $3,500 being dropped on a typical night when talking big money on street races all the time. Plus, the dude with the gold Toyota Supra had his girl say that he better win because they have rent to pay. $35k is more than enough for rent for the month and even in a lot of places for the whole year even today. lol So, I figured they just misspoke and meant $3,500.*
@hypershadow87 I agree. Tej gives Brian over 10 stacks ($10,000), it wont be over 1/10th of a million. No way that these guys are walking around with $35,000+ in their pockets. I assumed 35 large means 35 hundred ($3,500) and used the wrong terminology.
@bali-b292 from Google lol Before the first race in the beginning of the movie they each agree to betting 35 large to race, which means $35,000. Then when Brian wins the race Ludicrous hands him the money and says I got over 10 stacks for my man right here, which means $10,000.. they just messed up saying 35 large
Without spoiling stuff, basically the movies are all connected in ways other than just Brian. The third movie goes in a somewhat different direction than the first two but is absolutely loved by fans. After the fourth movie, it really stops being about cars and becomes a high budget action movie with some cars in it
From what I read, the reason why this series became over the top, was to gain a wider audience. This was the first movie I watched in the series and I still love it. Even if Fast Five is my favorite one out of all of them. Before we had the Avengers, we had Dom and Brian assemble the family for a heist.
You should watch the 8 minute short called Brian's story. Picks up immediately after the first one, and shows how he got his silver skyline and made it to Miami. And the first few movies are just establishing all the characters that will feature in all the rest starting at fast five.
Vin D (Dom) was the main character in the 1st one along with Brian. Vin was asked to return for this movie but He opted to star in The Pacifier instead. There are many more of these movies, so maybe Vin may or may not return to the series. Y’all will have to continue watching them to find out.
RIP Paul Walker. He died in the middle of filming the 7th film. His 2 brothers and a little bit of cgi was used to finish the film and still have his character in it. As of the 10th film "Brian" as a character is not dead, just off building his family w Mia. I'm curious how they will handle it in the 11th and final film.
To this day, I love Brian and Roman as a duo, more than Brian and Dom. This is still my favorite one in the franchise back when these movies made sense lol
You both should watch Fast and the furious prelude. It fills in the gap between the first film and the second film. It's a short 5-minute film of Brian on the run. I
I think you guys would love Craig Lieberman's youtube channel. He was the technical advisor for the first three F&F movies, and has videos on how his cars were involved in the making of the first two.
I grew watching solely this one and tokyo drift and when i watched the first for the first time and saw Vin Diesel i was like "Who tf is this guy? Is this the guy from the flashback in the prelude to 2 fast 2 furious? And the guy from the ending of tokyo drift? WHAT??" In other words this is my favorite one and my headcannon is theres no movies before it or after it except for tokyo drift
If you guys watch the prologue original starting of the movie, you'll see right after he gave the keys to Dom. And when he was on the run from the police to how he got the Nissan Skyline and when he reached Miami
These movies are a part of my soul. Been watching them since I was 5. I cried when Paul Walker died. I’ve been to the theater for every movie starting with 6, up to Fast X. I won’t miss an opening night for one of these movies. I love every single one of them, no matter how out of pocket they get.
In filming they destroyed something like 17 of those cars doing the jump to the boat. This one is my favorite of the whole series. After #5 it starts goin downhill and gets away from street racing
Saw this in theaters as a young kid after watching the first one repeatedly. My mama made me close my eyes during the rat scene bc she didn’t know what was gonna happen 😂 my mama had me young and would often let me watch things that I probably borderline shouldn’t watch, so she was big on “cover your eyes” and then telling me when I was good to uncover 😂
You gotta watch the little mini thing they made to explain how he ended up in Miami it’s pretty cool. I remember discovering that on the dvd back in the day I’d always watch the deleted scenes and special features
you guys realllly enjoyed this i loved it even more... it's truly a classic enjoy these movies plsss because it all goes down hill after the first 2 or 3... it's actually sad
