    Id like to see a series on tree creation and detailing rather than buying another software.Speed tree is just another cost added.

      start with a line (apply some noise). Resample the line using resample SOP. Scatter a few points on that line and copy smaller lines (the branches) unto that line. You can use density and curveu attribute to control scatter points. Repeat the same process for fine branches and the leaves.

    could this work with object without those extra data from speedtree. eg mesh that has been collapsed as fbx and not created with speedtree. thanks
