Inspiring Work and a presentation that's not just a portfolio rundown but broken down at the right moments. Thank you for getting a glimpse into your process and I am looking forward to more Graphic/motion Design Focused Houdini Presentations!
One of the greatest houdini in real production content! Thats what should calling hi-end motion graphic! What is lv_multicloner node? is it custom or some package over there available for use? it seems autotable users here with dislikes.
Wonderful presentation. Financially-wise, how much are these works with Houdini worth? For ex., how much a freelance artist can be paid for a type of work like Velcro @ 15:00? $50K?
I think it's too situational to say. It would depend on the client, the job being done, your experience, your negotiating skills, the economy as a whole, where you are in your career/how established and well-known you are, etc.
@@warrenhenning8064 thank you, Warren. Sure, as any other job I think it's like you said, I agree, but which range are we talking about, for this kind of works? (generally speaking, not necessarily with Houdini, even with Maya, C4D... at this level though)
@@ArgoBeats See e.g. /watch?v=ht-ibCIdAIg for one 3D freelancer talking about how much he charges. You're going to charge more in more developed countries or clients with more money. I'd certainly charge a Fortune 100 way more than I would a small business. There is money in CG because there is demand and it requires skill, but a lot of people at studios work really long hours doing work that doesn't make them happy because they're forced to do crappy CG work too quickly. You can do what a lot of people do and make courses. Then it becomes a game of building an audience.
hi. I'm a very beginner to Houdini. 24:23 how can we animate all the torus pull down by random and apply vellum solver. I tried with the transform node and keyframe it. but vellum solver not respond to my transform effect. anybody know how to do that. I much appreciate it.
Great presentation! Very informative! I was wondering how did you animate the class attribute on the setup presented at 31:56? Any insights would be much appreciated!
Thanks! Fitting the class into 0-1 then multiplying by the amount of time you want the transition to go for and fitting a @Frame between those values :)
@@lukasvojir_x Hey Lukas, great presentation. Would you be interested in selling those wicked custom node setups you use? Some great time savers in there. :)
There is no such thing as study or self taught. Its just how you approach finding your resources. Does watching youtube as a source of learning counts as self taught? To me that is studying too. Unless you have zero resources , no google, and you rely solely on playing around with Houdini in the application itself then i would consider that self taught. All in all my message is just saying that it does not matter if you attended school or not. In our current era, resources are everywhere. It’s just how effectively you are making use of available resources and keeping a strong mindset of not getting frustrated when u encounter an obstacle. If you have the cash and choose to attend a high end school, then yes, you are more likely to be spoon fed the knowledge but so far all veteran developers and artists that i have known are “self made” in one way or another.
that simulation of the pieces breaking off the ice and instantly melting into a viscous fluid is incredible. Massive rates XK
This is a hidden gem!!! Thanks for sharing this process

Fantastic work. Filled with creativity and stunning motion. Only downside were the muddy renders Redshift is so known for.
Really nice session
just awesome , top
Impressive
just curious to know how much these creative studios pay to their employes??
So much beauty
Highlights look like something out of John Carpenter's The Thing
THANKS FOR SHARING
Nice
