Excellent craftsmanship. I love the perspective that everything must serve multiple purposes. I recently added a table in my Sienna and it really only serves one purpose but it’s perfect for holding my appliances.
Fantastic! Doing my build right now, and it's true - more than one purpose for something makes it worth the real estate it takes up. And having that table work as a shelf to clear room in the living area while you're parked is so great.
That's exactly the kind of thinking that'll make your build awesome! I spend hours and hours thinking of ways to make things do more. Good luck on your travels.
Good idea ! That would work attached to my cabinet that extends half into the slider doorway . Could also mount it off the same cabinet where it ends at the back door . 🤔 My passenger seat back folds flat with its own hard plastic work surface so don’t need anything more there . 👍
I'm surprised by the bolts sticking up through the shelf. What are those nuts that have the 4 prongs that hold them into a hole drilled? Those would be better, right?
I didn't get into detail about all the extra eyebolts I have on my shelf - I use those to hold the stove and trash bin in place with bungee cords when I'm traveling. Most people won't need those. So I just made a new, basic shelf without those for the demo. Also I think the nuts you are asking about are called threaded nut inserts. ~ Thanks for watching!
You have a great talent for explaining how to make things. Thanks for the video. Hope to see more.
I’m happy to hear that! I have lots more videos coming soon.

Yeah, a board is a great invention - I also use one or two… but I just threw it in and slap it around where needed
