I was about to come of with my own way to describe the moves that need to be done, but your words and directions are perfect (away, open, in, close). Best and easiest method.
When you turn side after the first four moves it makes your method so much easier.
The other are all 8 moves and confusing.
Your 2 x 4 move method is easy.
After I went to layer three, it took 2 minutes.
