'West End Girls' (Pet Shop Boys) is an iconic synth-pop seminal classic that captured the socio-political tension and urban sophistication of the 1980s, while simultaneously influencing generations of electronic music artists to come (including yours truly).

There's something absolutely "magical" about this song. It was a minor hit in Belgium in 1984. I was 16 at the time and coming to terms with my orientation. And in 1986 it was a BIG hit. Now, 2025, I still love this song. Brings back so many wonderful and carefree memories. This re-work captures the 80's vibe and yet it's very 2020's too. Great job!
