Totally awse. I'm curious about the best day :-) I met them both quite by accident during the early nineties - can't quite remember the exact year. It was such an odd coincidence because I had acquired an E-MU that very morning (Chris Lowe has one) and was having issues getting sound out of it (it didn't come with a manual). So a friend and I went clubbing that evening and as soon as we walked in Chris Lowe was just standing there being completely ignored - nobody knew who the heck he was! I introduced myself while trying not to fan-out the poor guy and instead talked about my E-MU woes and he was super keen to help me troubleshoot it. Neil arrived 10 minutes later with his 'minder' and said they were due back at the hotel. Neil was exceedingly polite although I barely got to talk to him before the 'minder' rushed them both away. Chris was very talkative and wished me luck. I was high from that encounter for weeks after.
I hear you. I sometimes struggle getting the mix to sound reasonable, mastering even more difficult, and having tinnitus doesn't help the situation. But I do believe I'm getting better with each production. Kudos for the feedback.
