hi! i love alabama!! i lived outside enterprise for a year and loved every second of it, i finished recording my album there! a lot of love in my heart for alabama. thank you for listening :) ♡
I've always wished more artists interacted with their fanbases in CASUAL ways, not just through fancy interviews and what not. So I just gotta say it's SO COOL that you're doing this Hayden! Really feel like we get to know you in a real way not just scripted. Much love!!
I remember how in your video about proximity to god, you told us how you felt on the American side of the Falls when you could hear the sound of the water, and how you would want to relive that moment. I feel like the sounds through this could bring back that moment for you which is such a cool thing to get to have
i was gonna say, this is so soothing. i think it's the soft speaking and the atmosphere that makes it feel so calming to me. i love hayden's voice so much, singing or not.
I love how she listens so intently to everything, every sound, every ebb and flow like it has purpose and spirit, she’s a true musician. LOVE YOU MOTHER
This came up on my feed. I watched it not even knowing who you are. That is a very stylish sound gadget. You can feel the swell. I'm gonna give your music a good listen now.
baby this long-form content is the way to go for you. it's such a direct and healthy way for you to interact with us and we are eating it up. sending the utmost love
Absolutely in love with how simple it is because it's analog, so you don't need a million different features. It does exactly what you want and allows customization, but doesn't overwhelm with options.
Sound machines are a *blessing* for me because I have a hard time falling asleep in pure silence, and I don't like turning on my ceiling fan solely for producing noise during Winter as the temperature gets too cold for comfort. I do really like the one I have since it's small and compact meaning I can easily take it anywhere with me, but I *love* the design of the one you showcase here. I speak as someone who didn't grow up with this form of analogue tech, but I'm always fascinated by this kind of stuff since we live in a predominantly digital age. It makes me think about how I might have lived if I were born during this era, and devices like this would've been a godsend for me. I love anything that produces a deep, smooth, and constant sound; the waterfall setting especially is candy to my ears. 😆 I'd love to see some more tech reviews in this fashion! Keep 'em coming! 👍
thats actually interesting that a lot of people in this comment section cant fall asleep without some noise. You'd think people want a completely silent surrounding especially if you life in the city, but i guess its has to do with connecting the absence of sound with an emotion... i would guess it is like an indirect lonelyness? (at least that would be an explanation i could somewhat relate to....) just background noise to not feel like you are the only being in the room.. thats why i sometimes put on contrapoints resident evil gameplay on, even tho i close my eyes anyway lmao! idk UwU
@@Mirabelle479 A big part of why I got a sound machine is that they can reduce the impact of other sudden noises that can disrupt your sleep. I've had that happen to me on quite a few occasions, and my sound machine is a ginormous help in attempting to mitigate that.
Reverse your fan blades in the winter. Most new-ish ceiling fans have a switch on them so you don't even need to remove the blades and flip them around manually. In the winter the blades should spin clockwise as this takes the hot air trapped by the ceiling and circulates it down to keep you toasty. A clockwise spin will make the fan feel like it's sucking the air upwards. In summer it should be blowing the air down onto you to help keep you cooler, which is what a counterclockwise spin will produce. Hope this helps in case you ever need to resort to using the fan again!
Ironically, hearing Hayden talk so softly and eloquently about a Sound Conditioner is the only sound conditioning I need. It's so relaxing, I could literally sleep to this.
I do maintenance work in this crazy IBM server building from the 80s and the exterior walls are all at an angle and theres a huge airflow from outside that goes under the building through the basement, it was a huge ac to keep them cool back in the day, the architecture is super cool, your coment at the beginning instantly made me think of it haha
9:04 When she switched it to waterfall and smiled, that made my day. Today is difficult being my Dad's birthday in heaven for 15 yrs, and it never gets any easier.
I love how purposeful you are with everything you do. Not just your words and what you say but also your actions. Like you take your time to really process everything and it’s genuinely so graceful. Love you Hayden🫶
the curiosity and sharing of personal experiencing of the different settings is really like... honest? vulnerable, in a way? intimate. it's a nice surprise to find intimacy in the context of a review video, where i usually find myself skeptical. yeah, it is honest to not try to review something in a way that presented as some kind of "truth". wonderful review format ❤
Hayden, I love your music! I live in southeastern North Carolina along the coastline and my mom and I always say certain places here have “An Ethel Cain vibe.” Your music has let us reconnect. She’s actually the first person to show me House in Nebraska!❤
Imagine being a in the middle of nowhere in Scandinavia finding this video, thinking you have found some weird 500+ subscriber youtube channel about reviewing musical instruments and machines, but to actually find out that it is an musician that makes really good music. Imagine that.
I love how you post whatever you want on this channel and not just music, you make everything you talk about so interesting no matter what it is :) Keep it up!
My boryfriend - who is many things including a sound engineer and amazing scrap and finder of all things electronic (old) - gifted me a Marsona 1200 that he had for years - looks to be a different model - no 'A' (knobs/colors) than yours but similar in all other ways. What a godsend and something that i turn on every night and sometimes while i am working.
I feel like this would help my ADHD a ton - having that noise to keep me focused would be a game changer, especially because of the noise being a wave and not a steady tone. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Surf 2 is a classic. A few harsh noise/industrial artists have used these and others, but I specifically remember an interview mentioning this model and Surf 2. Speaking of pedals, solder an output jack and run it into your board (or just an HM-2/MT-2) and it's crushing, those low frequencies really come through. Few circuit bent videos of this model on YT as well.
love all these simple show-and-tell type videos you've been posting, there's an ASMR quality to your voice and the care you take with thoroughly exploring and explaining everything. thanks for sharing!!

Favourite was definitely waterfall. Have you ever considered doing a video on the theremin going through the brief history of it and just playing around?
I would love to someday once I get the hang of it! Not much time to learn a new instrument the last 2 years so it's still entirely foreign to me haha. But it's such a lovely instrument, I'm excited to best it.
