I've ridden more coasters than is probably healthy, and i can pretty firmly say that despite not having the most impressive stats out there, the sheer airtime on this thing easily puts it in my top 10. Numbers aren't everything yknow!
+Lexie Lesko Thats right !! I love six flags over gerogia !!!!! They got some good stuf !! THey got goliath suerman uliame flgith batman the ride ga scorcher dare devil dive mindbender great america scream michen cycleone mine train joker fun house ninja
I JUST rode this 3 days ago. I haven't been on a TON of coasters, but I've been on my share. This is the first one that has REALLY intimidated me. It wasn't so much scary, as it was unsettling. The speed is AWESOME! They were literally closing as I got in line, so I only got to go once, but I'd love to ride it again!
This is a comment for all chickens like me!! 2 days ago I picked up the courage (after watching TONS of goliath vids and looking at yahoo answers: is goliath scary) to go on Goliath. Listen, anyone who is scared, the thing MOST scary about this ride to me was the part where you go up (and the line to get on). Im not even joking. While going up, i kept thinking wow were really high i wish i never got on omg why am i on this can i get off pleaseeee. And then we went down. I never felt more stupid in my life. You only feel the first drop, and its not bad. Just sit in the middle 2 seats and enjoy it. The other drops after the first YOU DONT FEEL. 100% honestly here i didnt feel a single drop, just felt rumbling. Maybe because i was shocked it wasnt that fast as i thought. Just dont get cocky and think wow this is nothing, cuz it might surprise u. But i went on it and its NOT as bad as it looks. Just go on it, i promise u will wanna go on again. Also, when it gets to the part where ur turning, make sure u smile!! It takes a pic :)
Spot on. I was the same way my first ride. I had to keep it macho on the outside on the count that I was with my first love, but on the inside I thought I was gonna go into Cardiac Arrest. Ahhh Georgia summer's..
Hopefully my comment reached some people and encouraged them to ride! It has now been MONTHS and I LOVEE the backseat! It's way faster, so if you guys are scared go on the way front seat and sit in one of the middle two seats, and after a few more, try the back seat! Goliath just gets better and better, way faster in the back! :)
i went on it this past weekend for the first time, and it was to get over a terrible fear of roller coasters. believe me, this was the best ride i have ever experienced. you have to get on it!
***** OMG are you kidding me? Batman felt SO slow!! I guess it depends on the person though. I, personally, am more scared of drops than loops. But imo Goliath is way more insaine than any ride in the park.
Brandon Edwards To me, the cyclone is the scariest ride there. I've been on goliath and all the other big ones, and they feel much more smooth. Remember to put your hands up though ;).
Man do i love this coaster. I live near SFOG and go all the time and this ride still gives me a thrill everytime. One night on a slow night during the summer, i rode it 14 times. Man was that a great night.
Don't know how this thing got 34 dislikes, but it looks PERFECT. B&M has got the hyper(200' class) coaster thing down! Plenty of elements to satisfy both airtime lovers and high-speed-turn junkies alike. Can't wait to get down there. It is a real disappointment that their Giga(300+') project at Carowinds, at least in concept, looks to be just a big collection of high-speed turns with only one floater hill at the beginning. Apply what was done on this Georgia Peach of a coaster on a 300 foot scale and the park will need major crowd control! :) :)
Lucky! I just got back from Atlanta today and I never got to go to Six Flags. This ride was right next to the highway we were driving on, and it made me so sad to drive past it.
I agree. I think it's because you expect, like on most cars this way, that you can brace your feet on the ground. The angle of the seat makes it impossible for me. And the fact that there's no shoulder harness.
This ride was amazing! It makes you feel like ur floating on top of the big hills! It doesn't give you that feeling in ur stomach unless ur in the back! Loved it!😂
This is the best Roller Coaster i've ever been on, last month was my first time back to Six Flags over georgia and My first time riding a roller coaster.
I rode this ride with two very brave strangers since my friend wouldnt get on with me. I swear the only slight fear I has was going up the first drop, I put my hands up for the whole ride XDDDDDD. The lapbar makes you feel AMAZING, and is super safe.
One of my favorite ride at Six Flags! I usually don't like drops because of the feeling I get inside my stomach, but I only felt it during the first drop! The second drop was mostly to enjoy the view. Overall, pretty good! Scenery is beautiful, too!
Went on Easter Sunday, no lines any where, rode this 4 times and every coaster in the park 2-3 times. Needless to say, tired and sore as crap the next day!!!
Are you aware that: A) A lot of market research goes into deciding what the park invests in each year and B) Thrill-seekers are not the only demographic that frequents the park and C) the park just added a new roller coaster in 2011, which is still quite recent by industry standards and D) you sound like an idiot? Just letting you know :)
yes but the point im making is they add a new coaster every damn year at magic mountain so why cant they put a unique coaster like full throttle at sfog it needs that kinda thrill it is one of the oldest six flags parks yes dare devil dive is awesome and fun as hell but i do believe sfog needs more thrill and i do not think at water park is goin to solve it i mean they already have a water park six flags white water so why are they wasting their money on a new one inside the sfog its just my opinion there is no need to get bitchy about it o and just to let u know u sound like a 40 year old virgin just saying
A lot of people don't wanna go to Six Flags Over Georgia anymore b/c it is not a secure as they make it to be with ppl getting robbed all the time and their use of the Flash pass is retarded at best. I stood in line for the Batman ride for over 45 minutes b/c of the freaking Flash pass trying to get up front but they let the pass people ride twice and "take turns" with fast pass and liners. It's not taking turns when the FP people take the front everytime twice, so ended up getting out of the front and moved to the middle rear. That made me HATE the Batman ride b/c the employees did nothing about it. They need to take a lesson from Disney on how to work that system b/c Disney does it right.
Dude... Georga can get REALLY hot! When I went it was like 90 degrees the whole time! It ruined my trip because I start to feel sick when I get hot. I think it's a great idea to add a waterpark!
Drew Pedneau I live in Georgia i would say it can get really hot in the summer but however it's not like the type of summer heat where i used to live out west in Phoenix Arizona, here in Georgia we have whats call a humid heat which where temperatures being in the 80's to low 90's but with the humidity added in that can make it seem more hotter then what it actually is, in Phoenix the summer temperatures can reach into the hundreds but it's not a muggy heat like we have hear it's more of a dry heat so you are subjected to just the temperatures more rather then humidity this is where dehydration can happen more quickly
I'm absolutely terrified of/in love with roller coasters. When we went over the first dropped I was screaming at the top of my longs and the drop felt so long I couldn't scream when we got to the bottom. My mom was laughing at me, until we banked really hard and she thought we were flipping and then tried to hold me into my seat. Haha
i hadn't been on a roller coaster in 5 years before last october. went with my friends and they made me get on this first and sit in the front. i got to the top of the first hill and just about pissed myself. then i rode it three more times. awesome ride.
I can do inverted coasters, dive coasters, euro fighters, and I can do loops, inversions, corkscrews, helixes all day. But THIS thing kicked my ass. I simply wasn't prepared for the intensity of the height, speed, and airtime. I realized after riding it that I prefer positive Gs to negative, and don't do so well on hypercoasters. But I could ride the Batman ride over and over.
When I went to six flags in March, my first rollercoaster ride was Mindbender and i was scared to death!! But it wasnt that bad.. After that ride i decided not to go on the Goliath lol, but I will go again for my class field trip!
I rode this....OMG!!!! I was so scared!!!! I almost literally started crying because of how intimidating this ride looked. I WAS FORCED TO GET ON!!!! Lol. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. It's something serious though. Glad I did it though. I'm so proud of myself. :-)
after i seen other people ride it i was soo pumped to ride, tgen i got on it with my dad yesterday and was scared out of my mind.when we got to the top i said turn up took a breath and it was over
I have never ridden. The airtime looks phenomenal only downside is that I have heard about a bad B&M rattle which you can slightly hear in the off ride. Are those loud clicks at the end of those airtime hills the anti rollbacks clanging around?
I went yesterday for grand opening..biggest mistake the lines were super long and from 10 am to 8 pm we only rode 2 roller coasters. We waited in line for this coaster 3 1/2 hours and finally got on it before the park closed. HIGHLY recommend this roller coaster! I was freaking out like a little girl up until after the helix. After that I was okay. Loved the hills and the bunny hops after the horseshoe are insane. I have a season pass and had it on a lynard. it was pretty cool to watch it float in front of my face whenever we crested the hills.
Ryan_Catz02 Why not get the SeasonPass at the end of the year when it's $35 and you can use it for the remaining of this year and the entirety of next year? Go through catalogs and newspapers to get coupons for the FlashPass. My friends and I got a whole bunch and 4 of us went and we paid $40 bucks for all 4 of us. Why should I wait 3 hours for a ride that I will ride in less than 3 minutes? I mean literally I spend about $50 bucks each time I go. Flash Pass isn't cutting, because there is a separate line for it. Heck even some of my friends collect Coca-Cola cans so they can cash them in at SF. It's so easy to save..
Probably perhaps the camera is connected directly to the ride itself, so there aren't any bumps or added movement to the video. When a person hold the camera, they feel the bumps, sway around, and you see that on camera. When it's connected directly to the coaster car itself, it moves WITH the ride, so while the riders feel the bumps and sways, the coaster car itself doesn't. At least that's what it looks like to me. :)
My reaction on it: *while going up* "wow everyone looks like ants from up here" *going down the first hill* hahaha I can't put my hands down *laugh the rest of the ride* (I laugh on roller coasters)
I've been spoiled by all those HD pov's.
exactly
I've been on a ton of coasters and this one isn't the biggest, the tallest, or the fastest. There are no loops or inversions. But THIS is one of the best damn 5 or 6 coasters in the US. The airtime on Goliath is INSANE.
Fr tho!!
Fun fact: the second drop is bigger than the first since the station is on top of a hill.
Just looking at the video, the 3rd drop seems to be the steepest. This is my favorite ride in the park.
Robert Thomas The 1st drop is the steepest. B&M actually had to make it steeper than usual because they couldn't go any farther out of the park than where it is.
wrong^. when you enter the Goliath the info sign says the first drop is 170 feet and the second drop which is the biggest is 175 feet.
^ no they're saying the first drop is the steepest and the 2nd drop is the tallest. Steepness and height are different.
um the station's not on top of the hill
0:38 what the heck is
lol i heard it too
a kid maybe?
Well that would be Goliath kiddo. The tallest, fastest, and longest coaster in the park. 🎢
My phone FLEW off the Goliath and the police saw it thrown like a Frisbee!!! When they found it NO DAMAGE was done!!!!
Morgan Harrell r/that happened
lol
I've ridden more coasters than is probably healthy, and i can pretty firmly say that despite not having the most impressive stats out there, the sheer airtime on this thing easily puts it in my top 10. Numbers aren't everything yknow!
Doctor Plague I've been on many coasters too and I have to co-sign your statement. The air time makes this one of the best.
This one and superman are tied for my favorite 2 in this park.
This ride is SO much fun! Can't wait to go back this summer.
+Lexie Lesko Thats right !! I love six flags over gerogia !!!!! They got some good stuf !! THey got goliath suerman uliame flgith batman the ride ga scorcher dare devil dive mindbender great america scream michen cycleone mine train joker fun house ninja
Judith Cates Yes!
On the first drop i held my breath.
Lol that's what I did

I almost crapped my pants in the first decline

I will never ride it again
I just hate the rush in my stomach
I think that was me saying "what the heck is that!?"
I rode this today twice, it's so fun.
Same
Darriel Baldwin iv rode it 4 time in 1 day and im 9
i went on it this past weekend for the first time, and it was to get over a terrible fear of roller coasters. believe me, this was the best ride i have ever experienced. you have to get on it!
this superman batman and acrophobia are the best rides in the park
do u even , bro?
random doge yeah
random doge super man scared the shit out of me. The new ninja was cool
Don't forget Mindbender, Georgia Scorcher, and Blue Hawk!
This ride deserves HD footage.
I love this roller coaster! It's my favorite in the entire park!!!
this ride was really fun
I LOVED this ride! Super smooth
Excellent footage, this is on my top 5 B&Ms.
This ride is the BOMB and if you haven't gone on i think you should
+Cristin Ralston i have not rode it yet but i will i had a chance back in january but i went on dare devil instead but i will do the big GOliath
I have not pick up the courage to ride this. But i have tried the georgia cyclone and loved it. so next time might be the big day.
Goliath is AWESOME! I only went to 6 flags 3 times and I went on goliath like 13 times.
*****
Dude, compared to Golliath in Valencia, this is a let down. B/c the drop isn't straight down like Magic Mountain
***** Goliath at Magic Mountain isn't actually much steeper than this. Goliath at Magic Mountain is a fantastic ride though.
Rode this for the first time yesterday it's so much fun I highly recommend this!!!!!!
I remember when the Georgia Scorcher was the biggest thing to hit SFOG but that ain't shit compared to THIS! I love this ride. We need more like this!
I love hearing the anti-rollbacks clanking on each airtime filled hill!
Great Hyper Coaster. It's a must ride every time I go to SFOG
Man do i love this coaster. I live near SFOG and go all the time and this ride still gives me a thrill everytime. One night on a slow night during the summer, i rode it 14 times. Man was that a great night.
Going on Tuesday. So excited!
i would go on it any day and not be scared IF I ONLY WASNT AFRAID OF HEIGTHS!!! *sits in corner crying*
This is my favorite ride ever! its so fun. I've rode it several times and its my favorite

Gigas are all about speed, and high speed turns. Hypers are all about airtime. Does Millenium Force have a lot of airtime? No!
TheWiseMiner:
Never generalize. Gigas don't have to be "all about" high speed and turns. You can build a 100m tall cake and eat some hills too! ;)
Look at Steel Dragon 2000.
I loved this ride! we just got back from six flags over GA and I had such a good time on this one!
going on this one next weekend with my sister for her birthday!
I just rode this yesterday. Of all the coasters this one scares you the most. You don't feel secure on it. I absolutely loved it.
And the fact that there's no shoulder harness.
ahhhhh!! i cant wait till summer !!
I rode ALL the rides at six flags over Georgia and the goliath is my favorite by far!
Tʜɪs ʀɪᴅᴇ ᴅᴇsᴇʀᴠᴇs HD ғᴏᴏᴛᴀɢᴇ.
i love it how at 0:34 the kid says "whoa, that was....what the heck is that "
Rode it yeterday and lost my mind. GREAT!
This ride was amazing! It makes you feel like ur floating on top of the big hills! It doesn't give you that feeling in ur stomach unless ur in the back! Loved it!😂
Amazing Coaster
I'm riding this Thursday!! Ekkk can't wait! :D
Awesome!! I'm going to six flags again next week with my friends and I will get on this ride!
Omg I ride roller coasters for the scare and thrill, but after a while it gets fun, but this gives me the chills just watching it on UA-cam lol
I LOVE this ride!!
This is the best Roller Coaster i've ever been on, last month was my first time back to Six Flags over georgia and My first time riding a roller coaster.

Probably the smoothest coaster you will ever ride
love this ride
Went on Easter Sunday, no lines any where, rode this 4 times and every coaster in the park 2-3 times. Needless to say, tired and sore as crap the next day!!!
Omg i loved this ride it so fun!!!
You feel like a badass when you pass by people that are looking up at you from the ground :D
wish they would add a new coaster and not some bullshit waterpark
Are you aware that: A) A lot of market research goes into deciding what the park invests in each year and B) Thrill-seekers are not the only demographic that frequents the park and C) the park just added a new roller coaster in 2011, which is still quite recent by industry standards and D) you sound like an idiot? Just letting you know :)
yes but the point im making is they add a new coaster every damn year at magic mountain so why cant they put a unique coaster like full throttle at sfog it needs that kinda thrill it is one of the oldest six flags parks yes dare devil dive is awesome and fun as hell but i do believe sfog needs more thrill and i do not think at water park is goin to solve it i mean they already have a water park six flags white water so why are they wasting their money on a new one inside the sfog its just my opinion there is no need to get bitchy about it o and just to let u know u sound like a 40 year old virgin just saying

one of the best hypercoasters out there by far
I love goliath at six flags over georgia goliath is my favorite rollercoaster in the whole world love it in the front seat.
This ride is amazing
I loved this ride. :D
Gonna ride this someday!Can't wait!
I'm going to Six Flags tomorrow and can't wait to get on this! My friend and I are riding together. :)
Gracie Precise was it worth it? im going next month!
Didn't get a chance to ride this ride but, yes Six Flags was AMAZING
Roston11 I've been on it. It's pretty awesome but I admit I was a bit petrified..
Went on this monster when I was six. Memories feel good.
that's amazing
I'm absolutely terrified of/in love with roller coasters. When we went over the first dropped I was screaming at the top of my longs and the drop felt so long I couldn't scream when we got to the bottom. My mom was laughing at me, until we banked really hard and she thought we were flipping and then tried to hold me into my seat. Haha
they say the first drop is the worst but this ride has nothing but first drops next time i get on im in the front
I love how theres a sign outside the entrance saying that you shouldnt ride if you have high blood pressure lol
I ride front seat everytime on this rollercoaster. I love Goliath. Superman is wickedly awesome too!! Got Season Passes too :D
Defiantly on the first hill, but a lot of airtime. One of my favorites there!
I went on it yesterday for the first time and I still remember how terrified I was and how much I screamed
mix some of the spins from this with the goliath at magic mountain and you've got sheer epicness
I love this coaster so much.
Except for the wasp nest at the top of the lift hill. That's kinda scary.
rose this yesterday and this was the worst out of all of the big rides... that stomach feeling. even batman seemed small after this
This ride was awesome and the date devil is even better even though it's not as extreme
i hadn't been on a roller coaster in 5 years before last october. went with my friends and they made me get on this first and sit in the front. i got to the top of the first hill and just about pissed myself. then i rode it three more times. awesome ride.
we been on this too too much
i loved that ride
I Went on This Back In Mid-June. I Road in the Back Seat and That 1st Drop Was Madd! Best Free Fall I'd Had in a While!
I am going tomorrow too... O.O. Cant wait to ride this!
OMG, I'm going to six flags over GA for tomorrow too!! XD , It's for a field trip :3
the 1st drop ain't bad suprisingly because the 1st drop would be the worst
very correct.
When I went to six flags in March, my first rollercoaster ride was Mindbender and i was scared to death!! But it wasnt that bad.. After that ride i decided not to go on the Goliath lol, but I will go again for my class field trip!
i thought it was over in the first decline

the speed in this ride is almost like ecelerator in knotts
i remember my first time riding this. when we were about to go down i said "oh shit we're gonna die!!"
Very intense
0:38 "What the heck..." That kid haha!
My phone was in my back pocket when I went on Goliath.
At the end, I found it in my shirt, stuck halfway up my back.
Damn g-forces.
The POV starts at 1:24
This is the best hyper
after i seen other people ride it i was soo pumped to ride, tgen i got on it with my dad yesterday and was scared out of my mind.when we got to the top i said turn up took a breath and it was over
I screamed the whole way down :D
best ride at six flags
I have never ridden. The airtime looks phenomenal only downside is that I have heard about a bad B&M rattle which you can slightly hear in the off ride. Are those loud clicks at the end of those airtime hills the anti rollbacks clanging around?
