Awesome video brother, I purchased a used 2022 SR5 and I love my tundra. Coming from a ‘14 tundra and I love this one a lot more. I was concerned about the engine and all the bad trash talk everywhere about this engine. I follow the car care nut and he explained this engine very well, so I got it. Your video is excellent and thank you for your hard work and dedication. Happy Holidays!

Thank you, 3 Main objective of this video 1 was to shut those haters up completely 💯 scaring customers putting in fear, saying us techs can’t do the job and truck never be the same, 2nd show customers that own this truck like yourself, and give some real piece of mind, I’ll make it look so easy so little parts removed my wife can do it So when coming in for this repair your not all worried , I won’t put a scratch on this truck there’s not one bolt you can put in the wrong place, And 3rd for you techs or future techs here’s your perfect chance to make a doctor salary stress free taking off nuts and bolts 💯 you can change life’s with the remedy repair, Just wish my Dad was alive so I can give back to him, Merry Christmas thanks

13 hrs is not a lot for a job like this so I appreciate your positive attitude about this. I think this is an unfortunate manufacturing defect and not a design issue so I don’t really give much weight to those bashing 3rd gens and/or the V35A as “junk”. And I agree that only Toyota would step up and replace 110K engines. I have a ‘22 Tundra hybrid and I’m curious if Toyota will eventually include hybrids in the recall. 31K miles on mine so far and zero issues.

It looks like you are one of a Good ones. But when my engine has been taken out, so Dealer techs could replace both turbos and when they put my engine back, A LOT of bots were loose, my steering column was crooked and those are the only things I was able to notice myself on the surface of my engine and when I was driving it. I cannot even imagine how they actually butchered my car. In most cases, ones the engine comes out in a dealership shop, you might as well just sell your car after they are done with it, because your brand new car or a car with a low miles will never be as good or as reliable as when it came out from factory. Dealer techs would make sure of that.

There is oil/fluid inside to "couple" the fan that is sensitive to temperature.
"Flooding" the "front" of the clutch can cause it to malfunction.

I hear you, but the short blocks that were replace was cuz there was no remedy at the moment, Won’t be no more short blocks going to be complete motors, I would bet the hybrid will get the same treatment if they have the same problem recalls come out in phases

That a lie. Toyota did a voluntary recall with 100% free of charge new engine and rental.

Ok but you are going to still get screwed down the road because those tubos aren't going to get you to 100 thousand miles trouble-free if you know a guy knows how to hack the computer system drop a rebuilt Chevy V8 in that mug LS6 would work great and just run aspirated just saying😊😊😊😊

Bro your praising Toyota for giving people be w engines but they knew this engine had a problem for 4 years now and did nothing to fix it. People are paying 70k for a piece of crap.

US Government CAFE ratings basically forced Toyota to ditch the V8 and put this over complicated pile of garbage engine in the current trucks. * and great job by the tech, the next ones will only get quicker and easier.

That is a lie. This engine was first introduced on 2017 Lexus LS 500. No fucking problem with them then and nothing is wrong with it now. It is in 5 of Lexus and Toyota vehicles. It a manufacturing issue. And they will be using this engine for the next 10 years like they did with the 5.7 V8.
