Dry sumped the engine, running it to hard , damaging crank and rod bearings , There is some aftermarket parts that help prevent this from happening, different oil pan , oil pickup tube, also have read info about running engine a 1/2 qt of oil above OEM Spec.

That is the ugliest engine bay I have ever seen. Also, the ugliest front end of any vehicle in 50 years.

Two of my neighbors have had their engine swaps. Be sure to take pictures or video of your truck, preferably washed and just before giving the shop the key. Both had fender damage and alloy wheel damage upon return of the truck. The damage was not significant but it was noticeable. The dealer eventually caved and agreed to pay to have the rims replaced and the fenders repaired.

Why are these engines blowing ?

I dont see why everyone so upset about it, it literally took 12 mins to fix this issue.

Not that this was the issue with this car. I had two different Subarus with camshafts crack right in half. Didn’t make a noise like this. Just has a missfire on one cylinder. One of them came from another shop. They replaced coils plugs and fuel injectors. Customer pulled it from there and towed it to our shop. Compression was off. Pulled the valve cover to see the back half of the cam wasn’t turning while turning the engine over by hand. Different manufacturer, had a Camry or a Corolla with a camshaft cracked in half also. Can’t remember the engine. Maybe 2.4 or 1.8 🤔

I work the exact same way. Pull it from that spot. It goes back in that spot. Everything laid out super neat and organized with oil Mat under everything to collect the oil so it stays clean in my work area. 👍
