I stopped to watch the series because I always had a crush on him (can you blame me for that ?) and I was jealous of the character's potential love interest
Ironic, how they invoke Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with a cast that has Charlie and Willy Wonka in the Tim Burton remake, that's some serendipity
Suprised no one has pointed out that Dustin Hoffman, who plays the theatre manager Charles, played Captain Hook in Hook, alongside Robin Williams and Bob Hoskins. In fact, to address this easter egg, there was a planned scene of Charles dressing up as Hook to show James how ridiculous it is, but Hoffman refused to do this scene, so instead he did this scene: 19:22
One of Johnny Depp’s best films that earned him a second Oscar nomination a year after his surprising first nod for Pirates of the Caribbean. Interesting to note: The actress who played Wendy here is none other than Kate Maberly (aka Mary Lennox) of 1993’s The Secret Garden.
It’s like you can read my mind, Tim. I was just thinking this week about how much I loved this movie and I was thinking about rewatching it. The ending always gets me. These biographical films are always so interesting to me because we get a sense of how an iconic piece of our childhood was created. If you liked this one, I recommend Goodbye Christopher Robin. A 2017 film based on the creation of Winnie the Pooh and the effect it had on the relationship between the author and his son.
Thank you! I thought I was the only one who had a hard time watching this deep emotional affair play out. I get that the times were different, but it’s still cheating.
11:58 problem is his wife is only with him for the social status. He sees a better life with Sylvia and her kids. Probably a life he could’ve had if they didn’t lose a child. 12:40 Johnny Depp was so impressed with Freddie in this movie that he recommended to Tim Burton for him to play Charlie. 19:18 how can Captain Hook think that. He knows those kids. It’s funny watching someone who played Hook criticizing the story. 43:06 I love how the grandma was the first to clap.

Who would thought this was origin of peter pan's story. It's so beautiful
I guessed at the moment I saw the title
I like how the mom is the only one to enter Neverland, as it basically is foreshadowing for only half a minute.
