I felt like an engineer making this XD
I forgot to add the footage where I enabled XMP, but I enabled it before doing anything. So, we're good!
This might not be REALLY good to some of you PC enthusiasts, but as a reminder, my specs before were 8 GB Shared RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655, 256 GB Storage, and an Intel Core i5-8279U CPU. (The CPU actually isn't that bad I think)
Honestly, any upgrade is a huge upgrade for me lol.
I bought Minecraft Java Edition, mainly because it was on sale for 15 years of Minecraft, and I tested it out on here on high settings (FPS, Graphics, etc.), and it was SO FREAKING FAST OMG LOL. The whole computer was actually very fast but still.
I then tested it out with this fnaf fan game called FazBear Nights, which was a pretty huge (probably graphic-intensive) game that I really wanted to play ever since I heard about it and it ran smoothly, even on max settings. I might check that out. I heard my new GPU is VR-supported too, so I'll eventually re-buy that Oculus VR cable or whatever it was and maybe play FNAF Help Wanted 2 finally.
I will check out more games in the near future.
I rendered this video and it took less than 10 Minutes, it was using a lot of my CPU and even RAM, but that's kind of normal for me lol. The video was actually in 4K, but I dumbed it down to 1080p when editing it because I didn't want to essentially stress test the computer.
Not saying it can't be stress tested, but being very limited with what I can do on stuff that I used to make videos and play games before (like my old phones from 2016 - 2021), my old Windows computer from 2018 - 2019 and especially my MacBook from (2019 - 2024) has led me to be very skeptical even with high-end PCs lol.
It'll be ok, though.

Awesome budget upgrade, definitely worth 7 - 8 hours of the installlation process! The reaction at 6:23 was literally me when I finally upgraded to a much newer system after waiting for 7 and a half years. It is AM4, a bit of an older generation but the performance jump from AM3 to AM4 is unfathomable and I still feel its effects to this day. I previously owned a Ryzen 5 1600 then I upgraded the CPU to the Ryzen 7 5700X which has pretty much been the cherry on top of my build.
Have lots of fun with it! 😃
IKR, the difference in speeds on this new build vs the speeds on my other computers is UNFATHOMABLE to me

Frankly, I think I was able to play Poppy Playtime [the first one at least] on windows 10 bootcamp, but I can definitely play it on here.

ngl, I didn't know much about AMD's or Nvidia's hardware when I was first going into this. I was just going with it because it was the most affordable option compared to the others, and also it would still give me the best performance for now.
I still think this was a mega upgrade for me lol.
