Thank you for a very helpful and easy to listen and learn video! I have a furhter question, when I remove an element from the group, can I make it so that it doesnt appear on all instances of the group?
You will need to create a new group. Just duplicate the existing group and rename it as a slight variation before removing an element and then the other instances of the group will remain intact to reflect the layout before any edits were done. Glad you are taking action. Consider joining my Smarter Architect revit course for the Fall. It will be awesome and limited sign up will be offered soon.
Can you have grouped elements (branch ductwork) connect to non grouped elements (main ductwork)? I'm working on a dormitory project and this would help me out a lot.

traxfish Yes. Absolutely.
Why does my group looks different if I copy them? Some shapes are changed or are shifted
I'm working on having office hours via Zoom starting in a few weeks along with a Revit course based on real project work...stay tuned
can you tag in groups?
Absolutely! You can tag by category- rooms, walls, etc.
