I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra gls and I have this same code showing up, along with p0451. When I changed the vent valve I noticed charcoal in the lines and spilling out the canister. I’m changing the canister tomorrow, along with the FTPS (if I can find it) and hopefully it clears those codes. 🔥vid
Well I done how misplaced the FTPS around the house somewhere, so I went ahead with replacing the charcoal canister. Did the 2 drive cycles and BOOM, both p0451 and p0455 codes showed Green check marks on the scanner. Didn’t need the FTPS after all
@@emmcee476yeah. But what I forgot to mention was, the clamp holding one of the hose to the canister was also replaced. And that’s where the large leak was. The canister fixed the problem I had with filling the gas tank
I have a 2010 Hyundai Accent Blue throwing P0456 and P0455 codes. Changed out the purge valve, vent valve solenoid, fuel pump assembly and gas cap (aftermarket) and still nothing. When changing out the fuel pump assembly i noticed i have 2 screws that are just spinning freely while the other secured. Could this cause those codes to be thrown?
I own a 2005 elantra with that code replace the upper O2 sensor code went out for about a week came back on replace the lower O2 sensor code went out then came back on, then I replaced the catalytic converter code went out for about a week. Then the charcoal canister I replace same thing out for a day or two comes back on then the solenoid by the canister same thing goes out for a while comes back on then I replace that solenoid up underneath the hood code went out for a couple of days and it came back on I have replaced everything but the fuel pressure sensor and I can't get my car to pass the emissions test so now I can't get a sticker for my license plate other than that the car runs great
I did replace the gas cap. That was the first thing I did and it didn't do anything the po455 code came right back on the next day after I reset it. The one thing I have noticed though my gas mileage has gone up 2 to 3 Miles per gallon since I replaced everything
I have this but a small leak and there is a warranty on my fuel pump. They dealership doesn't have the part. Hopefully once they replaced the fuel pump this goes away.
Hello had a question canister this code cause tuscon to go into and out of limp mode happens few times a day on take off then I let gas pedal come up then I hit the gas and picks up speed. I changed gas cap and silinoid under hood but still acting up
It’s your fuel pump my piece of shit Hyundai sonata 2018 had to have the fuel pump replaced cause it was a manufacturer defect it was covered under warranty can’t remember if it was a recall or not, take it to your dealership, if it’s that it should be covered.

My friend has changed everything in this video except for the fuel pressure regulator. He even took it into a repair shop and they replaced the fuel filler tube. And the po455 code keeps coming back on. He cant his yearly license plate sticker because of the code. He has been pulled over twice now and got tickets for an expired license plate. He doesnt know what else to do. so im posting this for him hoping to get a solution.
I have p0455 code and gas pump turns off while fueling. Did you figure it out? What was it? I'm confused as to why a large leak from a valve would cause the pump to shut off. Seems like if it was stuck closed it would cause the pump to shut off

When you’re driving , is the car maintaining a consistent speed or is it irregular and jerks ?
Yes, tank needs to be sealed for evap system to work properly if you have a opening from the fuel pump area it will cause an issue

All the components need to be tested to be sure they are working and a smoke test done to find any leaks.
Verify the check valve leading to the intake
Short term can go to a smog shop in the ghetto with $250-$300 and they'll pass you.
I can't pump gas sometimes pump keeps stopping 😢
That is usually caused by a bad vent valve in the charcoal canister.
