Very valuable summary before I dig deeper. How it works and possible causes (by priority). I love this format, not just "here is how you replace this part". Keep it coming.

Hello there, thank for the video . Question : 2012 Nissan Pathfinder , have issues with irregular rmps, and with, maybe , what appears to be transmission shifting .
    1. RPMs will suddenly decrease/increase rapidly when coming to a stop, and/or stepping of the gas pedal.
    2. Car will jerk foward/backwards when stepping off and on the gas pedal while driving .
    P.S. No error codes .
    Help🤔

I could use some insight on my 2015 Chevy Tahoe. Check engine light, throwing P0 455 with vapor smells in cabin. Replace gas cap in purge Valve. Check engine light GONE.
Vapor smells still in cabin, seems to be coming from under the hood. We dropped the fuel tank, checked the lines, cleaned out the vapor canister. No active check engine, but is still throwing the P4055 code.
What should we check next? Trying to get a smoke machine

I had this code on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5.6 Hemi. I changed the purge valve. The code returned. I then replaced the charcoal canister and vent valve. The code came back. I then RE-replaced the purge valve and the code went away. That was an expensive defective purge valve because charcoal canisters are expensive!
I am now having a problem with filling up the tank. It shuts off which makes filling a 27 gal tank take 15 min. I purchased a smoke machine and found NO leaks. I am at a total loss... any ideas?

Check that your filler neck isn't kinked. Also if it's taking forever to fuel up. It could be two things 1 the gas station (some are slow when THEY need to replace the filters within the pumps(try another gas station)). Secondly when it's slow to fill up it's normally the charcoal canister. After replacing it you're supposed to blow air through the lines to get the little charcoal beads out of the lines. If you didn't do that I would definitely check that

@@Dawg39 The filler neck is not kinked. I did put a new charcoal canister on and blue air through the lines. And then I ran smoke to see if there were any leaks. None could be found.
The vehicle was never in an accident or rolled over but I'm wondering if the rollover sensor which to my understanding stops fuel flow is part of the problem.
I'm about ready to drop the fuel tank and remove everything from it and replace it. Including the hoses. I'm totally befuddled.

Did you ever find a solution?

@@emmcee476 Yes and I'm so upset! You're not going to believe this but out of frustration I took it to a car shop who dropped the tank which is, a pain in the butt if you don't have a lift, went ahead and changed the fuel filter because obviously that's in the tank. It was the original fuel pump. Since I have have 180,000 mi on the truck, I thought it'd be a good idea to change it because soon as I get everything back together the fuel pump .
Anyway the mechanics were stumped also after running a bunch of tests and then just by fate he had his flashlight looking at the filler hose connection that goes into the tank and saw something that didn't belong. It was a 3-in black tube which resembled a water heater hose that goes into your firewall. No idea how it got there but it happened while I owned the truck.
The only thing we could think of is during the time when Barack Obama was president, gas prices were about $5 a gallon here and there was a lot of people siphoning gas from tanks. The mechanic and I both think that it probably came from someone trying to siphon gas and that hoses long enough it got stuck but then after some time it broke loose and fell to the bottom which was not allowing the flap that is in the tank to open all the way. If I could have only figured that out earlier I would have put something down to their and kept jamming it around until it fell into the tank.
This whole ordeal cost me $700
