What tools did you use here? Specifically to disconnect the thing that doesnt look like a regular hose but looks like some kind of fuel line/connector thing?
I believe that kind of hose is like a quick connect, usually it will come off when pressing both tabs on the side push inward then pull. Sometimes the tab wont go in easily, i have to use flat scredrivers or a pliers that can push those both side tabs.
thank you! changed my purge valve and still getting a P0455 code. It seems odd that the canister would leak after only 5 years. is this a common issue in these cars?
@@wrathofpaulii its not really common, i think one factor is the weather too with corrossion and movement of the canister over the road i think thats why some canister's fail. Hope that helps.
You mean when you try to fill up 8 gallons and it will just click as if its full? A blocked in the vent valve can cause foe limited fill up, or a internal fault in the charcoal canister. But a leaking canister should be no problem when filling up coz the vapor will just vent out but of course you will have a leak code like a small to large leak.
Glad I found your site you explain what you are doing thanks injoy watching

@@hyundaitech thank you!!
I use trim tool i think and squueze both tab with my fingers.
what year is this car? I'm trying to figure out where the canister is on my 2017 Elantra
This model i think 2017, your canister should be unerneath at the back of the fuel tank assy.

brother please could you tell us what was the problem which lead you to change this canaster i need your answer
The mounting bolts where the charcoal canister is has cracked on it.
What tool did you use to remove the hoses?
I think i was using a trim tool
Would this cause your tank to only allow 8 gallons yet still say it’s full?

Is this the same as a 2005?
You mean the location,? If yes i dont think so but it should be under the vehicle either beside the tank or on top of the tank.
This is the same than a 2013 accent?
Double check if you cant see the charcoal canister underneath beside the tank or opposite side of the muffler it could be on top of the fuel tank.
@@hyundaitech okey..thank you..because i was looking for it today and i never found it.
@@adrianzamora6785 so most likely its on top of the fuel tank, i know its gonna pain in the back i dont know why they are hiding it there. Hahaha
@@hyundaitech in case is located above the gas thank iwill take it to a mechanic shop because it will be really hard for me to fix my car.😔😔😔😢😢
@@adrianzamora6785 yup i would suggest that
