Leave the wall empty! It looks great as is. The room is too small to clutter up! Let the focal point be the table and light fixture! They look perfect. Less is more!! 😀😀❤
Leave the wall blank. I love how you added the cutting boards and basket to the sides of the entry. I think it brings a cohesive looks and warmth to your cozy space.
Oh my goodness you do magic, Megan. At first, I was cringing at the fact that you were painting your table and then I was like trust the process your girl Megan hasn't ever done something cute and I am wowing!! Great job and great video as always. ❤
Thank you! 😍 I’ve been going back & forth about doing this for a while, but I’m so glad I finally decided to go for it! The table looks like it was always supposed to be this color 🤗
@@lovinglifeasmegan Because of you, one of my upcoming projects is to paint my countertops in my first home I just closed on 2 weeks ago! You gave me the idea through one of your kitchen makeover videos and gave me the confidence to want to do it.
It looks fabulous! Who knew with a little touch of paint can make something look magnificent and with some new light textures too! You did a great job! Love how you make your home into a DIY so crafty and creative! It compliments you’re home so much more and please don’t take this the wrong way but it makes you’re kitchen more bigger. And the vase is so pretty and the lil pop of color is just the finishing touches! Have a great week, Megan! 💜😊
I love the black table. It looks great in your kitchen. I also have a black table and chairs in my dining room. I bought all mine black. I’m not sure I would paint a table. But it looks so good. I have pieces in my living room that are black. And my countertops are black with some white. My dining room is open to both the kitchen and living room. But it is small. I love the light fixture you put in. My husband won’t mess with electric, but I did. I changed out an outlet in our old house. I would love to replace all the boob lights we have in our house. I might try painting my end tables. They look okay. And they are wood. But they have gotten beat up over the years and don’t look that great. So I’m thinking I might try Beyond paint on them. I just have to figure out what color I would want.
They have tons of colors to choose from! Depending on your decor style I would recommend pebble for a neutral grey-beige, licorice is beautiful if you like black, and off-white or linen are gorgeous neutrals!
Megan, the dining room looks beautiful. But put back a rug on the table, and you could put some family pics on the blank wall or a big pic with the colors of your dining room. I love how the table came out as well. Have a great day.
Love the way the kitchen looks Megan! I think it looks very modern and warm and organic. Very pretty! Also think it’s pretty badass you were able to put the light fixture together on a whim!! You go girl!
Megan, your table, light are absolutely beautiful, you did such amazing job, you always make everything look magazine ready, always enjoy your watching your videos.
Hey Megan I painted my cabinets with Beyond Paint Licorice and did my countertops with the Beyond Paint Licorice with flecks. Like you, I've used Beyond Paint but not the flecks and they also came with a sealant. I trusted the process and everything came out wonderfully! I love it!! Great job Suga I'd live with the blank space for a minute to see how you like it, it looks fine as is...Give it a minute to see if you come across something that is meant for the space or inspires you..
I bet your kitchen looks gorgeous! 😍 I’d love to try their countertop kit, but I don’t think I have a friend in need of a countertop refresh right now lol
I love it, it's like a dark moody tropical vibe!! I am not a fan of the little basket, but if you love it then that's great!! It's your home, not mine. The one wall you were talking about, I think it looks great with nothing on it, if you feel like adding something then maybe a tropical picture/piece of art? Even maybe in black and white? JMO, you did great and love the light fixture. Hugs xoxo
Megan, you did a fantastic design with the licorice paint! You always do awesome designs! The flowers make the table beautiful! Thanks for sharing! Take care, have a great day! ❤️😉🐾🇺🇲📓✏️🦃🎄🤶🏻🎅🏻☃️✨️
Omg what a transformation the Table looks absolutely gorgeous i love it i have a dinning table in my kitchen my table i had a Christmas runner on it but my cats slide along the table like Tom cruise 😂😂 so got to take that off Annmarie UK 🇬🇧 🎉
That wouldn’t work with the current accent. It makes hanging multiple frames/pieces of decor very uneven & unstable. I used to have 4 framed photos on that wall & had to relocate them because of it.
Looks awesome! If you really still want to add something to that wall, perhaps a large family portrait in black & white (or color & you can use a specific filter if you want such as a warm one)? I think that idea could work cohesively with the colors of your kitchen & dining table/chairs. You can try Mixtiles where you design your own frame & can even choose frame type & color. Just a thought! Love your channel!! 😃
The accent wall creates a lot of texture on the wall that makes frames unstable when I try to hang them. That’s why I had to move the art we had there before.
Oh wow! You did an amazing job!! Looks like a whole new dining set!! And I love the new light!! I like the wall bare. It looks great. I think it would look cluttered if you put anything on it and take away the beauty of the table and light. Jmo Great work girl❤
I don’t want to hang any pictures because it is such a high traffic area. We used to have 4 photo frames there & they were constantly getting knocked off of the wall 😩
@@lovinglifeasmeganIf you want to hang something such as another mirror make a faux one first using cardboard the size and shape you would like and use foil for the mirror part. It wouldn't be real but putting it there temporarily would give you some time to see if you would really want something else there or leave it like it is. I like using the different shape cutting boards on that wall you could use as many or as few as you like!
I would add a piece of wood or shelf with hooks on the blank wall then hang the flower basket there. Add a picture of some clay vases on the wall with bifold door.
Hi Megan! This couldn’t have come at a better time. What kind of roller would you recommend? Or would anything go with this paint? Im literally heading to Lowes to get this paint ASAP!
I used that exact paint & color on my dining room chairs & it hasn’t held up at all - I was hoping to fall in love with it especially for the high cost but i didnt get good results your makeover looks amazing love love love your table !!!
Did you follow all of the instructions including waiting the appropriate re-coat time & dry/cure times? I’ve used beyond paint on a lot of projects & haven’t ever had that kind of issue.

I love the table! What a difference that made. I know nothing about sconces, but is it possible to buy different shades? Maybe something that would complement your light fixture? Then, paint the sconce black. Just a thought. I really liked them up.
Hola megan me encanto le diste un contraste de color a la mesa con el mueble de cafe y esa lampara unifico los colores te quedo bellisimo 👏👏💪🏡👩 te felicito 😊👉 desde argentina 🇦🇷💝💞🤗
Love the paint color on the table and the new light fixture is gorgeous. Just not crazy about the flowers on the table. It’s so tall that it blocks the view of everything as you’re sitting at the table eating!! What about getting art work that has a similar woven wood frame look to the new chandelier? So that way it ties in
I actually think that one wall should stay plain. The DIY part pops more and doesnt take away from the table as a focal point. Looks amazing. editing to add that taking the rug away was a smart move. the floor is beautiful. just my thoughts..

Hang a cute picture on that wall. Black frame with the colors of the chairs on it. Love the table and the light fixture!!
Hanging pictures is tough because of the wood accents
Great transformation Megan! I would definitely keep that wall empty…it’s look great the way it is! 😊

Could do a basket wall on the empty wall.. definitely needs something.. basket wall would tie on with the light fixture. Beautiful job.❤
I don’t want to do anything too busy since that is a high traffic area. It’s right there next to our pantry

A Floor mirror would also look beautiful on that wall in my opinion
It would get knocked over being right in front of the pantry door
Everything looks BEAUTIFUL!! For me, I would put a nice clock on that wall.

I have another plan for the sconces 🤗

It looks fabulous the black table but more importantly that light fixture makes a huge statement! The wall is missing something thp❤❤❤❤
I think it might be missing a mirror 😵💫

Yay! What colors are you using?
Absolutely love what you've done!! It looks cozy, warm and inviting. How about a wreath on the wall with the slats.
I think a wreath would give more of a farmhouse vibe & I’ve tried to move away from that over the last couple of years.
