9:00 "thank you, thank you" ! LOL Awesome, just the review I was waiting for. Hopefully you'll be able to get your hand on PX13 4070 model !! edit: heck, had to come back for this edit - after trying all 3 (Blade 14, G14 and PX13) - hands down my pick would've been PX13 (as long as they upgrade the panel to 120hz). I just wish we could get 4070 model here in the States.
It's so strange that Razer Blade has such a short battery life. Have you checked whether the dedicated GPU is active or not, and how much power the CPU draws compared to G14? For future videos, you might consider testing how much the battery drains during sleep mode, maybe by keeping the laptop unplugged overnight. Because of Windows connected standby, many laptops don't sleep properly and drain the battery, which can be annoying.
Great review. Always loved the Razer Blade, I have a base model from 2018 that I still use today. Probably the only Windows laptop with a build quality actually on the same level as a Mac. I think the portability of the Zephyrus G14 is just too superior along with the price and OLED screen, made it a no brainer for me.
in my humble opinion it is worth a single consideration having had both. If you are looking for an all-purpose notebook with a premium look the g14 is the best choice currently simply because with ghelper you can have a really efficient use of battery using the integrated video and if instead you need power with the cable use the dedicated one. Maybe you compromise performance compared to a razer but if you aim for raw performance you give up the portability issue and with much less money you buy machines with a better quality/price ratio power. Nice video it shows that you have passion in the contents you bring keep it up!!!
Would be nice if you could test all those laptops at their "balanced" profiles. Would be interesting to see which one does better in games without going full blast on the fans.
Honestly G14 feels like the blatantly better option. Oled display, lighter weight, insane speakers and etc...things blade 14 offers at the cost of almost double the price isnt worth it. 240hz feels like an overkill and isnt worth it over an OLED, wack speakers, wack battery life...The only reason prettyh much to get it is for the performance, but as its almost 2kg, you're better off just getting a desktop or 16 inch gaming laptops tbh
@ it’s good, I got the black ga403ui in Australia (so expensive) I opened it up and found out there’s NO RGB keyboard on Australian models, that’s the only annoying part so far I have only had for like 5 days
@ screen wobble is great, doesn’t wobble when typing really hard, only wobbles when pushed and fan noise is very low when idling on ghelper silent mode
The Zephyrus G14 lose in terms of upgradability, and slightly in performance. Win in price, display, speaker, battery life, weight, etc. makes it more worth the money. Choose wisely 😉❤
hello I was wondering if you could do a quick linux compatibility test on the asus g16? you’re the only laptop review youtuber that i’m subscribed to who actually listens to his comments, so i just thought id ask cuz all engineers who watch your channel will super appreciate it u prob already know how to do it or can do it with a tutorial but just load up any linux on a USB drive, make sure the nvidia drivers work fine, there’s a linux asus community who have open source ctl programs so maybe try those and just see if everything works properly me and my friends will be super thankful if you can do this! good luck and sorry for any inconvenience
Quite simply, a massive reason why the battery life is so bad on the blade is the refreshrate, 240hz on a laptop is completely overkill, you are pushing twice the frames, you could have turned refreshrates downt to 60 on both to see what battery is like.
@@bailly1998 There is no need for a mux switch. Optimus keeps the dedicated GPU completely off if there are no apps using it and there are no screens connected to it
@bailly1998 The Nvidia system tray icon shows whether the dedicated GPU is active or not, and which apps are using it. I have rarely seen the dedicated GPU staying active if there are no games or rendering apps running. You can manually set individual apps to use the integrated or dedicated GPU, so it is quite straightforward to control.
My G14 started giving me issues to the point where I had to exchange it:/ pretty sad about it but ended up going with the Omen 14. Hopefully itll work for me
OLED burn-in is basically non-existant on modern displays, because of all the anti burn-in tech that's included. Even if you keep your screen on 24/7, you'd have to wait like 3 years to get even a LITTLE burn-in
Hmm maybe if you contact them, but i dont think they normally ship outside of NL and BE :/ The only website i know that does international shipping is Amazon
Yeah I think it's because of the black keys and bezels :/ they should've made them white The black version looks a lot better imo (but does catch fingerprints like hell)
I was waiting on the new 2025 models, but I could snatch a G14 2024 4070 32GB silver/white model (return good condition) for €1599 with €33,- cashback. I thought that it was not a bad deal right?
@ I think we saw the same deal because we are both from the Netherlands. I bought it from Alternate. They also have the newer TUF A14 4060/16GB with a return deal for €1233 at the moment. And some intel G16 with IPS panels.
Please i will like to see a comparison between the hp envy and rog zephyrus either 14 or 16 (rtx 4060) … i think the envy has everything the blade lack making it a great comparison for the asus rog
Why’s the 1% lows WORSE on the Blade 14? That’s going to be a factor when you game and have sudden dips that are more noticeable considering the higher max FPS and 240hz screen 😮
For some reason, after using my 2024 g14 for half a year, some key caps in the WASD area started to creak on a gentle press at the lower part of the key. The keyboard is fully operational, though. Any suggestions? 😢
Ill probably just take whatever i can take in my opinion lol, but that 96GB ram is very tempting but i doubt it's needed anyways at 5600 compared to G14s 6400 lol
I am sorry, but that IPS panel looks terrible. Too grey, too washed out for an IPS. The OLED has an advantage with the blacks to begin with, but it looks super terrible that IPS one. Are you sure there was not issue with the settings (brightness, contrast, gamma?) Between the two laptops, for me the Razer easily wins. Upgradability, performance as the main reasons. But paying so much money for either feels just throwing your money. I just did a quick search and I admit I don't know their quality, but I see HP Victus and Lenovos with same overall specs, for less than half the price. So you can buy one now and in a few years get the upgraded with the 5000 series of RTX cards, for the same amount of money. Good video, thank you for sharing.
TLDR: the Blade 14 and G14 trade blows. The Blade 14 is built better, but has the worse screen. The G14 has far superior speakers, but has to ration power between its GPU and CPU, which hurts performance.

Thank you! :D
I like the way how the video is very calm , great video

I had 2023 blade 14 and 2024 G14, the battery life difference was night and day. Marginal performance loss for double battery life...
For which one was the battery better?
@Alecy22 The G14 2024, it was the same for me. Very happy with the battery life especially with university work.
Can you give me your 2023 blade 14 since you already have a new one hehehehhee :3
The blade 14 has one of the cleanest metal finishes I’ve seen since the 2016 MacBook Pro
Alright, since you did use the tilted with text, a deal's a deal, I will eat a cookie dedicated to you 😂❤
He used the thumpnail with the tilted laptops + text 😍
you really make the videos that i look forward too !!!

Bro, I bought the g14 bc of u.
And I fkn love u for it.
Just need to save up $300 more now and I can finally get the G14 🙏

okay, but I wont lie, I like that charger design on the Blade
like yes its literally just macbook magsafe alike, but damn it looks convenient

just bought a used g14 with a 4060. whats the % average difference between mine and your 4070? thanks!
It's about a 15-20% difference in GPU performance, so you probably wont notice it :)
do u do cyborg 14 vs blade 14 and zephrus g14 also?
Its still hard XD Younger me handss down Blade but not as i am older i would chose G14 :)
HEY!! CAN YOU DO PC SWAP WITH HP COMPAQ ELITE 8300 SFF PC TO GAMING PC PLS

I did that though, I always test battery life at 60Hz 🙃
I don't know what it could be
@@crimsontechyt Other possible reason could be it has no mux switch, if it doesnt swap to IGPU and uses GPU 24/7, that takes a ton of power too ?
@@bailly1998 There is no need for a mux switch. Optimus keeps the dedicated GPU completely off if there are no apps using it and there are no screens connected to it
