    I live in my leggings for about 3 months in the winter. Dont have any tights, but hose and leggings are a must have staple. I used to hate hose till a trick my dancer friend tought me: get hose 2 sizes "too big" for them to be comfortable and not feel restrictive.

    The tights with boots tip is right on spot. Not only it creates a continuous vertical line, it also keeps the legs warm in fall and winter. Even in summer, I wear nude pantie hose with skirts for work as the AC is always so cold inside the office. It seems to be taboo for wearing panty hose. I think it is silly. Panty hose makes the legs so smooth you can even skip shaving.

    The problem with coats and jackets is that i think most of us have one or two per season and dont really want to invest in more just for certain outfits. I didnt care for the white shirt under the black turtleneck. I do love all your videos though and usually agree with most of your tips!❤

      I really like the look of the shirt tails showing and am glad it is shown as an option or suggestion. I have been debating on a button up shirt so that I can wear it under some of my sweaters. Seeing it styled on a petite woman has helped me decide to make my purchase. Thank you💖

      Underlaying like this helps lightning face and accentuates other parts. Also no need in another accessories.
      But I, sadly, doesn't use such layering with shirts , it's unflattering on me, kind of uncomfortable. Turtlenecks with jackets, and other garments with upper layers.

      😊As someone who gets overwhelmed w/a lot of prints (esp. near my face😔)〰️I ❤ a collar/cuff/hem "pop." Looks cool, casual, & chic. Polished, but undone.
      Bonus: If you use a more body con cropped topper (like the black crew neck jumper shown here), it can serve a bit as an informal corset too. That helps reduce fabric volume from the button up. ⏳️Hourglass gals gotta size up on button ups to fit over breast & hips, but it can leave bulk around our smaller waist😂.
      FYI 70s Mary Tyler Moore Show📺 frequently put MTM in long sleeve patterned button ups w/a more body conforming short sleeve solid tee shirt on top. Of course, she rarely rolled or cuffed the sleeves. She also always tucked the shirt tail of her button up in her skirt or trousers.
      While a classic corset feels too bedroom & costumey for me😳〰️love the look of mod streetwear stylists wearing body con cropped tanks (wider straps) over button ups. It corrals fabric bulk while it gives a contempory impression of a corset w/the hem out.
      🤫Personally, I struggle w/dickies & other faux layers. Collars always end up askew. Better to stick w/short scarves. I clipped✂️ a fake tank out of a pretty short sleeve blouse too. It added unneccesary boxy bulk & it felt matronly👵.
      💚Bridget from Cali☘️
      (using my pal's YT acct)
      📩ps TarynTruly a fiesty fab plus size apple influencer popped in my loop. Like Chi, she 💯% convinced me on slimming impression of cropped tops paired w/high rise bottoms (skirt or pant).
      She's larger breasted & short waisted like me too. She prefers cropped tanks & sweaters to avoid having to full tuck. It also negates the need to wear spanx to minimize that tucking bulk of longer tees around her tummy too. This ALWAYS bring the focus right up ⬆️ to her waist. It beautifully slims & elongates her lovely form.
      She also ALWAYS adds an open topper of some sort as a last layer to finish her looks. If she does close the topper, she uses a belt to bring eye right back to waist level. Brilliant. She's not afraid of using a variety of hem lengths in them either.

    I am so glad you finally realized the maxi length works for petite....I have known this a while, it works for my 5'2"...just showing that little bit of an ankle area...another length I love is with long sweaters or coats hitting at the knee. I always feel stylish. I have been stocking up on cropped jackets and sweaters while it is still available as finding a great price for petites that 😢is budget friendly is challenging at the best of times. And browns are having their moment, another great thing for me personally. Love watching your videos!

    Great video, Chi!! Such great advice for keeping your winter looks stylish. Well done! 👍 I was wondering if you've ever had a color analysis done and what your thoughts were about it? I've read that knowing what season you are can really elevate your style because you're wearing clothes and makeup that is most flattering to your skin tone, hair color, and eye color. I've also read that it can make you look younger and healthier by wearing these complimentary colors and that your personal color palette never changes. I would really love to know your thoughts on this, especially for us petite ladies. 💖

    • @elenamaa5897
      @elenamaa5897 6 місяців тому

      Personal color palette obviously can change, even if sometimes slightly, with age(more cold, paler skin, loosing color ) , tanning or whitening, changing color of hair.

    • @hopegrable
      @hopegrable 6 місяців тому

      @@elenamaa5897 when you get your analysis done, they base the pallet off your skin tone, undertones, eye color, and natural hair color. They typically do this with the color draping method to see what pallet is most complimentary to all these things. Your natural skin tone and undertones don't change. If you tan, hopefully via a self-tanner and not from the sun, how your skin tans is also indicative of your natural skin tone. I find the analysis process very interesting.
